The configuration options to specify how and when to scale, paying less for only using the resources you currently need and the ability to have multiple different instance types. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find occasionally it won't shutdown instances with issues right away so occasionally it requires manual intervention I.e. a server has a process which gets out of control and the CPU spikes to 100% consistently, AWS won't shut it down for replacement, instead I have terminate manually. Would be good to have a feature that can recognise this issue and act accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Seamless scalability, Cost optimization, Integration with other AWS services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The initial configuration and optimiztion of scaling policies may reqire deep knowledge of both the application and AWS resources. This can be time-consuming for someone new to Cloud world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AWS provides clear documentation in How we can configure it i like that alot Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From my end i guess its really hard to get the work in first go. and lots of thing to consider while deploying Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is cost effective, scales automatically and easy to use and optimizes the performance of the server.we can setup or configure aws autoscaling as per requirement like how much server should be up and down as per the need ex: we can give max and min the server as cpu utilization goes up and down. It is somwhat difficult to understand for begineers , but as we use it it becomes best tool over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For me the best feature about Autp scaling is it's different scaling policies with which we can scale our application's seamlessly.
Also Auto Scaling in AWS provides the support for scale in, hence we have the reduced server costs.
Also we can use the different types of metrics to scale our application as per the requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The things I dislike about AWS auto Scaling is sometimes the infrastructure cost is more due to sudden spike of traffic and as it takes some time to start and initialize the instances, it cuses performance degradation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

An effective load balancing resource which is easily configurable and can be implemented within minutes. The best part is the scaling it provides in Virtual Servers and APIs. The EC2 instances are easy to work with auto scaling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can be challenging for users with non devops background to implement it at first, also the documentation is not simple for everyone to understand Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is yet another Super helpful innovation by AWS - essentially this auto scales your system resources up or down based upon requirements. We used it for one of our sites where we had intermittently heavy traffic and the server would keep going down intermittently despite DB upgrades etc - we moved from AWS lightsail to EC2 to do this - and the results were great! Auto scaling automatically takes care of increasing and then decreasing (important to keep costs reasonable) resources as necessary based upon site hits - or whatever formula you set (depending upon what AWS resource you are referring to). Truly a lifesaver in many regards! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with almost everything AWS, it isn't that easy to set up and configure for non technically inclined folks, however, given the other manifold benefits of the service that is a very minor complaint indeed! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about AWS Auto Scaling is that it is like having a personal assistant for your website. Imagine this: your website is having a slow day, and suddenly, you launch a new product or write a killer blog post that everyone wants to see. Instead of your site throwing a temper tantrum and crashing, AWS Auto Scaling steps in like a guardian angel.
This nifty tool automatically adjusts the resources your website needs based on the demand. It's like having a magical elastic band that stretches or shrinks according to how many visitors you have. No more worrying about your site going down during peak times, and no more overpaying for resources you don't need during quieter moments.
Setting up Auto Scaling is as easy as making a cup of tea. AWS provides a simple wizard that guides you through the process. You don't need to be a tech genius to make it work; it's designed for regular folks like us. Plus, you only pay for what you use, so it's budget-friendly too. Learning Curve:
Setup can be a bit puzzling, especially for tech novices.
Wizards help, but it takes a little time to get the hang of it.
User Interface:
Not the most user-friendly interface.
Finding specific features can be like searching for a needle in a haystack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AWS Auto Scaling takes the hassle out of managing the size of your applications. The best thing about it is how easy it makes scaling your resources up or down based on demand. You no longer need to worry about manually adjusting capacity – Auto Scaling does it for you automatically. This not only ensures that your applications are always available and responsive, but it also helps you save costs by only paying for the resources you actually need. The simplicity and automation of AWS Auto Scaling make it a game-changer for anyone looking to optimize their infrastructure effortlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While AWS Auto Scaling is a powerful tool, there are a few aspects that might be considered drawbacks:
Learning Curve: For users who are new to cloud services or AWS in general, there can be a learning curve when setting up and configuring Auto Scaling. Understanding the various parameters and policies may take some time.
Complex Configurations: In certain scenarios, especially with more complex applications, configuring Auto Scaling policies and triggers can be intricate. Users may find it challenging to fine-tune the settings to perfectly match their specific requirements.
Monitoring Costs: Although Auto Scaling is designed to optimize costs by adjusting resources based on demand, constant monitoring and adjustments may lead to additional costs. Users should be mindful of how frequently scaling events occur and their impact on the overall billing.
Limited Support for Certain Resources: While Auto Scaling supports a wide range of AWS resources, there might be cases where support for specific types of instances or services is limited. This could be a limitation for users with highly specialized or unique infrastructure needs.
Despite these considerations, it's important to note that AWS continually updates its services, and some of these drawbacks may be addressed over time. Additionally, AWS provides extensive documentation and support resources to help users navigate any challenges they may encounter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
