The ability to manage applications and abstracts all in one place. No more spreadsheets! No more tabulation of scores! It is all done in one place. Over all, it has been a great experience using AwardForce! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Set up requires a lot of thought. It's easy enough to do but requires some serious thought. There are many ways to set it up. This can be a little overwhelming, in a good way! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that with our level of package we can book a call with an advisor if we are having difficulty doing something technical. The help articles are also useful and the email technical help is good with suppport available 24/7, I think! The awards system is pretty easy to use and modifiable to do what you need. Some of the settings to modify can be tricky if you don't know the ins and outs of the system and support is needed unless you are a tecnical whizz kid. I'd imagine doing anything complicated without having the in person assistance could be really tricky if you are not good with technology. We tried for example to get our system to talk to a CRM via API and there was very little help from Award Force offered for this without being charged more. Also it would be good if the gallery had more functionality so that details for award holders could be displayed as a profile rather than just and image and a name. The platform is easy to naviagte and use, the settings are clear for both the admin team and the entry system for users. It looks professional, it makes light work of what potenialy can be a very busy time for us and to be honest I think AF has one of the best customer sevice operations of any businees. Someone always gets back to us and sort out our issues in no time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the platform to other business and users - we have been using it for over 7 years and can't see ourselves switching any time soon. If I am honest some of the ways to get to certain fields can be annoying - like having to go back, back, back to get to a certian feature/ page you were on and then having to upload it again. This is espeiclaly true when it comes to judging and finding specifc awards. But I am am so used to these features now - maybe if some were just a bit easier would help me but its not a massive issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it can be intergrated in to zapier and other tools for a better work flow and the seamless way we can manage entrants and judges in the same environment. The team are very quick to to respond to any minor problems or provide support for feature implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Form validation is lacking for entrants and it would be great to have some control over the visibility of the pdf files to remove metadata visibility (for greater anonymity in the judging process).
We would like to see externally vaildateable/shareable digital credentials for both entrants and judges (not internal badges) and trackable communications when we broadcast, maybe linked to mail merging functionality?
Judging cohort message board function would be nice, we currently use the gallery as an open chat forum during the final round of judging to try and keep the whole process in app but many create external alternatives so some communication and consistency is lost. Award Force is a perfect platform for awards management. Easy to navigate with simple tutorials to make the process of managing entries even easier and use for front end users when submitting nominations and back end users when managing entries and judging. Customer support service available if you get stuck with anything. Ticks all the boxes!
Using it for our annual business awards, Award Force now streamlines the process for shortlisting nominees, judging and determining winners. No more cumbersome manual scoring and weighting, Award Force does all the heavy lifting! Five stars! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Data is easy to pull and code, but custom fields would be a welcome addition as we have different needs for different divisions across our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AwardForce has so many features that the other contest platforms don't have. You have the ability to run simple or complex programs. We have a rolling contest year and AwardForce is one of the only platforms that makes it simple to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a super basic interface dropped onto a basic database. The reporting and financials are basic at best. We really struggle with the financial part. You can't actually issue refundw within the platform so we have to keep track of refunds/credits/etc outside the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm sure you can guess from the title but Award Force's customer support team is fantastic. Any question I have is always answered quickly and clearly which is great especially when you have a short turnaround time. They've made the process of setting up and managing the program a breeze. Another thing that I appreciate is the ease of use. For the most part, Award Force is quite user friendly and they have a guide that is esentially a step-by-step guide for setting up your program which was very helpful. Our awards program is a two step program which means there is a period where we receive nominations and a second period where the nominee is required to add their own information. This is a bit trickier on Awards Force as there is no seamless way to do that second step. And because of that it prevents me from sending direct broadcasts to the nominees. There is of course a way to send a message to them but that goes back to it being a bit tricky and not as seamless as I would have liked. I would also have loved a bit more customizable and robust analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AwardForce's attentive customer service has been incredibly helpful this past year. From helping us work through setting up our Entry paths, to even creating new fuctions such as being able to assign comment boxes and determine which comment boxes are required has made our process so much more efficient for all involved. I wish there were a submit function, rather than just a save and close. Most of my time helping adjudicators with their forms is finding what they missed, rather than them hitting a submit button and it highlighting the criteria they have skipped. It would make it easier for them to identify why it is still "in progress" and save me hours troubleshooting which scores or comments they are missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use from a program manager perspective as well as user perspective. Our judges always comment on how great the platform is to use. For me, I find creating a new season very swift and if I'm unsure about anything or want to add something (like the eligibilty section this year) the 'need help' button on the far left of the page is a great starting point and I can always find the answers to my questions. We've been using Awards Force for 5 years and in the early years you could reset passwords however are not able to now. I understand why that function isn't available anymore but it was a quick and easy tool when users where experiencing difficulties with the reset emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Award Force has been a lifesaver for the organizations I am involved with. I was part of the team that helped to implement this program to the state organization. Now, I am mostly a user and enter awards each year through the state and national award programs through Award Force. This program has been easy to use and uderstand. It is definitely user-friendly. It is also so simple for the organization to gather data, see the number of entries and costs associated with it. It has been worth the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, I haven't seen a downside in using Award Force. It simplified the process on the back-end for the organization, it collected the data so much quicker (as opposed to mailing awards to judges), it made the process easy for the user to enter information, and then the judging process is smooth. The only negative I had ever found was just the learning curve to initially set it up for all those parties. Once you learn it, it is simple to keep up with each year.
