Can get to whatever information I need and any setting I want to set. Used by many large corporations and small companies and easy for both. When I have questions, tech support is very responsive. Has been running for years without any failures. **What do you dislike about Avigilon Alta?** Slightly more expensive than some of the bare-bones offerings, but in return it is also more secure than they are. **What problems is Avigilon Alta solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows access control and security for my company in whatever way we want... phone-only, cards, fobs, remote access, guest access, etc. We use cameras for both security and intercom functionality. It is very intuitive and user friendly with fantastic customer support. I haven't even scratched the surface of all of the possible features. We rolled it out for our school district this summer and it has been a great tool that we use every day. It's super simple to get set-up and rolling on your first day of work! User experience is pretty good. **What do you dislike about Avigilon Alta?** The only thing I dislike is that in order to use the wave function to unlock doors, you have to have bluetooth and location services "Always On" (which can drain your phone battery). It tracks where you are and how many times you've used Openpath in the past. The alternative is turning location services off, which means you have to open up the app on your phone and tap on the "Unlock" button to open the door. **What problems is Avigilon Alta solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to remotely control access to our office building, giving front door access to the building to all employees, making it easier to limit the access employees have to the office at various times (ie, on the weekends/late at night). ### 10. I am so glad that my company implemented Openpath. One of the best features of the open path is that it provides access through proximity sensors on my mobile phone, and I no longer have to carry the badges in my hand. It is super user-friendly and reliable. The watch access method is an excellent feature. **What do you dislike about Avigilon Alta?** Although it is feature rich and super practical, I am yet to find a solution to access my office door in case of my phone’s battery drainage. Since Openpath is not fully matured, we get to see bugs sometime. Vs before I would need to carry a badge around, which is easily forgotten by many employees. **What do you dislike about Avigilon Alta?** Since we are still early in using OpenPath, we have noticed some technical bugs. There was a time when OpenPath auto update the app and I was no longer able to gain access. Re-installing the app was able to resolve the issue. **What problems is Avigilon Alta solving and how is that benefiting you?** OpenPath is solving the annoyance of how employees and our facilities team previous access and manage the office. We faced an issue multiple times while using the OpenPath app as it won't work and requires us to turn on/off Bluetooth and location a number of times a day to get this worked. **What problems is Avigilon Alta solving and how is that benefiting you?** It removed the traditional card requirement to access the Door System, which eliminates any wait time for new joiner to get their card created and also eliminates the burden and fear of carrying and losing multiple cards for numerous door access. ### 15. Additionally, other times if the phone is in your bah but you are waving your hand, it may or may not work. There is a time lag, and sometimes it just does not work. But in my experience, it's been rare. It's a great barrier that keeps us all safer. ### 34. Compatible with different user devices and easy to use. Great portal and management interface. **What do you dislike about Avigilon Alta?** It can be a bit challenging fine tuning the sensitivity on the unlocking from device feature. **Recommendations to others considering Avigilon Alta:** Great solution for access control, hardware has a small footprint and is very sleek. Effective and reliable product. **What problems is Avigilon Alta solving and how is that benefiting you?** Access control is a tough challenge and Openpath provides a very robust solution. We are able to add and revoke access in a breeze without having to issue keys or cards. Makes onboarding and offboarding a lot easier on us. **Official Response from Kat Olsheske:** > Hi Philip!
