Indusoft is pretty easy to get used with. Help system does it job. Easy installation, doesn't require much RAM even with heavy applications. Help system was superb! It doesn't conflict with other SCADA or automation software. **What do you dislike about AVEVA Edge?** Adding or deleting animation links is a bit messy. For example, you've linked an object with an "On Down" command, and then you've decided to shift it to an "On Up" function. It just doesn't feel neat to me with just deleting the unwanted function code. An enable/disable function of the command should fix this. Import/Export of screens/configuration from one project to another. **Recommendations to others considering AVEVA Edge:** Take it. **What problems is AVEVA Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solution for independent SCADA that can be interfaced with a large variety of PLCs. Pricing for the license is pretty friendly too. From 3000 to 60000 tags, Indusoft like listened on how programmers deal with the tag estimation problem. ### 2. I have used other tools but didn't find it as user-friendly as this. This tool has in built reporting function,, which is rarely found in other SCADA. **What do you dislike about AVEVA Edge?** As per my understanding, the device support is limited to desktop only. I hope upcoming versions will be included with Android and other platforms also. The graphics library needs to be integrated with more devices. **What problems is AVEVA Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have faced any issues while developing a project with Indusoft. The main feature I have realized is the user interface; it is more user-friendly than others. You need not search for most of the essential components of any SCADA software. Indusoft review **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2019 **What do you like best about AVEVA Edge?** the Indusoft view studio scada is very much flexible and not so rigid as other scada i have worked on. i have customized the scada in indusoft according to the customer needs as per 21 CFR regulations which helped my customer to meet his GAMP 5 needs. **What do you dislike about AVEVA Edge?** this scada software needs to develop the network connection between more than 10 connections, as i have not checked the connection between more than 4 devices i was facing the connectivity issues. i hope the newer version of indusoft scada has overcome the issue. **Recommendations to others considering AVEVA Edge:** I would advise another organization user as well for considering the Indusoft Web Studio software for Scada development. **What problems is AVEVA Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?** no problems but i surely did helped me provide solution to the customer needs regarding 21CFR needs which indirectly helped me gain in developing the scada adhered to 21CFR regulations. ### 4. Used Indusoft for large Material Handling solution. Needed to connect over 20,000 tags with Siemens, Allen Bradley PLCs and OPC servers. Never thought it would be possible with comparably such an inexpensive SCADA software compared to others. Has been reliable for many years now. ### 5. One  of the problems with InduSoft is that their components are closed. So beyond setting a couple properties in the on-screen button you don't have any control over how the button sets the virtual relay. The best I can come up with is that there's a momentary communication hiccup when the user stops clicking the button and it fails to send the relay open signal. Once that virtual relay is closed, there's no explicit way to open it. This is a bad design as you NEVER want there to be something in the PLC that can only be effected by the computer. **Recommendations to others considering AVEVA Edge:** It’s need to added more update library file to easier for customers **What problems is AVEVA Edge solving and how is that benefiting you?** SQLserver to InduSoft data Imports and Exports.
