Product Description

Auvik makes network management easier. By automating and simplifying network management, Auvik’s cloud-based software improves the efficiency and capacity of IT teams and helps protect their business from network risk. Today, Auvik helps IT teams establish true visibility and efficiency across more than four million devices on over 55,000 networks worldwide.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Traditional network management systems aren’t designed to deploy quickly and aren’t easy to use or understand. Many systems require an IT pro to purchase expensive on-premises hardware and software for every location they manage and hire a full-time employee to learn, understand, and use the system. The existing systems aren’t designed with today’s networks in mind.

With Auvik, it’s completely different. Our cloud-based network management software can be deployed in minutes, and its simple, intuitive interface can be used by even the most junior technician on an IT team. It doesn’t require deep network knowledge to use and it’s designed to scale with a business.

(Original )Information
What do you like best about Auvik?

The ease of use and good looking UI along with setup times which are very fast.

The support is also incredibly helpful and the alerting is very easy to manage or alternate.

There are a handful of export options for reporting that we give to our clients. This helps with so many statistic analysis options and showing the client why they may need to upgrade some of their equipment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

The depth is limited for OID and reports and general backend customizations.

The ease of use is a pro but it would require more menus and an Expert view that allows us to tweak unsupported items within Auvik.

Almost like developing our own platform for our clients based on our needs.

The Map is exportable but there are no options to inject into Visio or PDF exports with additional options like IP addresses or vlan types.

If there was an export option for the maps with customized labeling on the maps, this would save our company hundreds of hours a year, if not more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Auvik:

Auvik is a great platform to have at your disposal. There are many other competitors that may even do more than Auvik. But you won't find a platform that is faster to deploy or make changes due to Auvik's automation and streamlined backend. We have saved a lot of time and effort just using the program every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Backups that are automated for most of our Cisco devices.

The benefits of having an auto generated map and single pane of glass software to look at networking components really helps our work.

We also do all of our monitoring and direct integration into our RMM platforms with this tool to auto generate tickets. This way our entire organization isn't trying to monitor 3 different platforms just to stay on top of their work.

We also utilize to maps for troubleshooting and quickly seeing IPs on the devices for circuit issue identification or if there is a break in communication on the network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The traffic insights screens are very helful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

There is not total raw numbers for consumed bandwidth or ways to run reports showing the amount for the top users actually are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Auvik:

Powerful tool once implimented. This is a great tool for network discovery and uncovering security holes. SSH and SNMP vulnerabilities were discoverd on most affiliate networks. Network Insights are very powerful ONCE they are properly implimented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Network discovery is amazing. Once it's setup your network devices will pull into a clean inventory. Your network's diagram will map automatically instead of being that messy and tedious network diagram that you manually had to update before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Some device utilization SNMP features are missing for Meraki devices. Just like any other feedback that I've had for Auvik before, if you let them know, they are glad to look into doing what is needed to make your wish a reality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Auvik has helped me troubleshoot about everything on my network from ISP outages to broadcast storms. I never before had one easy to use web portal where I can console to multiple devices at once while monitoring the entire network for any other issues. Auvik has cut down my troubleshooting time at least in half and allows me to give our clients a clear and precise report. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Easy to use GUI. The automatic saving of network device configurations. The API integrations. The amount of customization in alerts. The automated network map and labeling of ports used. The support has been very helpful in diagnosing monitoring issues as well. Chat support is easy to use. Response times are typically quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

The load speed of pages can be pretty lengthy at times. The API integrations have some QoL features missing and we aren't able to things in the GUI very well. No reporting functionality for querying single or multiple client devices. This could be incredibly beneficial when trying to review 100's of device FW versions to see who is out of date etc... I know this feature is possible as we have obtained some reports before, but we have to request it from support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use it as a primary tool for network alerts with the Connectwise integration. Allowing easy browser based SSH or Web access to devices can save a lot of time. It also allows us to see review client health and determine possible upgrade paths for networks. The integrations such as Datto, Connectwise, and Meraki allow us to monitor multiple device types in a single portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Auvik allows us to map networks quickly. Once core networking devices (switch, routers) are configured with SNMP, Auvik has demonstrated it can accurately in clearly create a logical view of the network. I’d rather spend a little time upfront setting up SNMP instead of chasing CDP neighbors and looking in ARP tables to figure out where a device is connected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I haven’t been able to get it to report loops as I would expect. I’ve caught STP blocking, but Auvik didn’t report it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Instead of performing manual discovery and manually creating network diagrams, Auvik provides a live view. This is far more accurate and provides a valuable tool when tracking down an outage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
