Product Description

Auvik makes network management easier. By automating and simplifying network management, Auvik’s cloud-based software improves the efficiency and capacity of IT teams and helps protect their business from network risk. Today, Auvik helps IT teams establish true visibility and efficiency across more than four million devices on over 55,000 networks worldwide.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Traditional network management systems aren’t designed to deploy quickly and aren’t easy to use or understand. Many systems require an IT pro to purchase expensive on-premises hardware and software for every location they manage and hire a full-time employee to learn, understand, and use the system. The existing systems aren’t designed with today’s networks in mind.

With Auvik, it’s completely different. Our cloud-based network management software can be deployed in minutes, and its simple, intuitive interface can be used by even the most junior technician on an IT team. It doesn’t require deep network knowledge to use and it’s designed to scale with a business.

What do you like best about Auvik?

I love that Auvik has integrations with a lot of our tools (PSA, RMM, and Documentation tool).

Auvik is also easy to deploy (deploy your connector, provide credentials, and scan). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Alerting was a little cumbersome to fine-tune.

Also, I wouldn't say I like how the console handles multitenancy, it works, but I find the implementation a little weird. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Auvik:

Fine-tune your alerting to avoid alert fatigue and take advantage of the various integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Automated network maps are a huge plus.

Auvik has made the troubleshooting process for network issues easier to identify, specifically when tracing down a problem to a single piece of network equipment like a switch. With Auvik, we can now see when a specific device is down vs. trying to troubleshoot from bottom to top or vice versa. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Automation of discovery and updates make it easy to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Cost of a collector. Would like to use something like a Reaspberry Pi. Also, the interface makes it hard to really see if there are issues and where. System is not stable and the collectors bounce and give false positives regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Auvik:

Do not have Auvik send direct alerts. Proxy through another system which can buffer the alerts for a short while to rule out false posives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
