Product Description

Auvik makes network management easier. By automating and simplifying network management, Auvik’s cloud-based software improves the efficiency and capacity of IT teams and helps protect their business from network risk. Today, Auvik helps IT teams establish true visibility and efficiency across more than four million devices on over 55,000 networks worldwide.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Traditional network management systems aren’t designed to deploy quickly and aren’t easy to use or understand. Many systems require an IT pro to purchase expensive on-premises hardware and software for every location they manage and hire a full-time employee to learn, understand, and use the system. The existing systems aren’t designed with today’s networks in mind.

With Auvik, it’s completely different. Our cloud-based network management software can be deployed in minutes, and its simple, intuitive interface can be used by even the most junior technician on an IT team. It doesn’t require deep network knowledge to use and it’s designed to scale with a business.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I don't like that you have to run your own server to get the information. I would prefer to see an agent driven solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Trying to solve problems with not knowing what is going on in the network. Benefits included the ability to get health check on my devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Auvik is incredibly robust and customizable, I can track anything I'd like on my network and get useful notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

It has a bit of a learning curve and isn't the friendliest of interfaces, but once you figure it out, it's manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps us monitor traffic on our network and allows us to fix problem areas, so they don't continue. We're able to know about issues before users and clients notice them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Ease of integration, thorough and insightful information at a glance. Also allows the ability to search out devices easily throughout a complex environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

The only gripe I can find with the product is when a large swathe of warnings that appear and are simultaneously cleared are alerted to me via email I cannot view the entire group of events to see what it could have corresponded with. Merely increasing the size of the delivered emails with all of the relevant alerts would resovle this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Auvik:

For anyone with a complex and previously poorly or completely undocumented network topologies it's absolutely critical and the most useful tool I have at my disposal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Minimal downtime due to network outages and the ability to deep dive into the network to pinpoint issues. In our arena setting tracking down a random person that unintentionally is causing havoc on the network has been made much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

I can easily view my network, generate maps, easily check where each device is connected to, know what will happen once you do a certain modification to your Network. it's all there! It helps me concentrate on the work that's really important and does all the fieldwork for me Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

There is very little to nothing to dislike about Auvik, it does exactly as it advertises if not more and I'm really happy with it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Alerting system is hands down the most useful feature where I can easily set up alerts and Auvik alerts me whenever there is an issue.Pinpointing the issue source is much easier now Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

The most helpful part of Auvik is it's ability to collect all the useful information about my network and display it in one place for me to read. The network map looks good, and has a modern feel to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I do not like the external web interface required to authenticate and view my network. I would have preferred a local server and interface for everything. I also do not like having to use my authenticator app EVERY time I log into the portal. I do appreciate the sensitivity to security, but would like the option to remember a computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am not really solving any problems I wasn't able to solve before. This just simplifies everything, and presents any issues to me upfront so I don't have to go searching for them at every endpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Auvik?

Easy Network Topology

Auvik Support

Integration with WAP technologies (Unifi, Meraki, Datto, etc.)

"Remote SSH and WebUI" options in the cloud via the agent is very clever and makes managing network devices a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Wish there was an option to "Export to Visio"

Needs managed switches for you to get your bang for your buck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Network visibility. Before Auvik is in a network we are usually weed-hacking to find where things are connected, especially when remote. Once the Auvik is turned on (with current switch, Server, and WAP, credentials added) we are able to see from a "Birds Eye View" what is on the network.

We have used Auvik to find rogue Access Points, Random Servers, find what WAPs clients are connecting to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rapidly-growing org is absorbing new sites at a frantic pace; Auvik's collectors (probes) can do a better job surveying the network, identifying devices, and providing up-to-date documentation than any on-site technician could do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Auvik has like 3 things to do/make better and this would be a perfect tool. Specifically looking for alerts when new devices hit the network for example. Very small items to change but they've been great at addressing concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
