## Automox Reviews
  ### 1. Flexible Remote Desktop, Fast Ticket Resolution, and Seamless Domain Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eulises L. | LAN/Multimedia Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The remote desktop capabilities are way better compared to your standard desktop manager. You have more flexibility for example if an end user has multiple monitors you can easily switch monitors with the click of buttons. The support that I'm able to provide to end users has been a huge improvement to performance and the speed that I can close tickets. I like that it seamlessly integrates into our domain. The pricing is very competitive for what you get. Customer services has also been a huge help especially when we were onboarded, if we have any questions the AI is also a huge help in order to provide any assistance that we may need without further escalations in customer support.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

We have found that the software interferes with some of our programs for example our "Deep Freeze" program we had to search in depth through the settings in order for our computers not get stuck in a endless loop, before that we didn't know that it was automox that was making these act this way. The UI/UX is both simple but at the same time since automox provides multiple fields of information it can make things a little harder to look at , at first glance.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest reason why we got Automox was for it's extensive remote desktop capabilities, which has far exceeded our expectations. The biggest help is when an end user is working remotely and not on the domain we can still be able to remote into their work stations and help them out as if they were on campus.

  ### 2. Simplifying Cybersecurity and Endpoint Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johnny C. | MDR lv2, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The best thing about Automox is its ability to eliminate security blind spots with zero infrastructure. It is an impeccable tool for the current hybrid environment: it updates servers and laptops wherever they are. But its true value lies in the response speed: real-time visibility of endpoints, automatic deployment of patches for third-party applications, and the flexibility of its scripts (Worklets) allow security gaps to be closed in hours instead of weeks, completely relieving the workload of the IT team.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Although the tool is excellent for automation, I believe the area where Automox could improve is in the depth and customization of the native reports. Sometimes, when you need to present very detailed or executive reports to management about the compliance status, the visual options fall a bit short and you have to export data. If they improved the integrated report dashboards to make them more visual and customizable, the tool would be perfect.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have not found any problem at the moment that I can benefit from.

  ### 3. Information-Rich Dashboard That Makes Patching and Reporting Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** robert b. | Network Security Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The dashboard shows a lot of information about everything that’s going on. At a glance, I can see where things are, what they are, and what they aren’t. You can do anything from the dashboard including running reports, checking devices and everything you need to know about your patching.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I used to get signed off every hour, but I opened a ticket and they changed our environment to a 4-hour session. This lets me multitask, come back to exactly where I left off, and keep working—excellent!

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem, of course, was the constant stream of CVEs coming out every week and trying to keep up with them. Automox has simplified that by tracking all of the information for us and letting us create multiple schedules across multiple plants. We can pick the date and time, and it makes the whole process so much easier.

  ### 4. Easy Implementation, Superb Remediation, and Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dane K. | Technology Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Easy to implement agent, performs well. Admin-side interface is easy to navigate. Patching/Vulnerability remediation is superb. Excellent reports and policy creation. The Otto AI agent makes script creation very easy. Support is very responsive. Compared to what we had, we are getting a better ROI.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Very few integrations. The User-side pop-ups confuse the users. If there was an option to allow users to postpone patches within a window, this would make it perfect.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Automox, we had zero clue of how up-to-date our Windows endpoints were. It makes it simple to keep track of our patching. Additionally, it's great having different patching policies based on environment/asset type. We also like being able to send reports to non-tech users to show our compliance rate.

  ### 5. Streamlined Endpoint Management and Compliance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harpreet K. | Senior Vice President of Global Solutions, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I find Automox easy to operate, making endpoint patching straightforward and helping us generate compliance reports, which are crucial for our SOC 2 audits. The vulnerability remediation features are valuable, allowing me to prioritize vulnerabilities based on CVE numbers and set up timelines to fix them. This prioritization helps focus on managing critical vulnerabilities effectively. I appreciate the Worklets feature, which offers automation scripting that saves a lot of manual effort by creating automation workflows. Additionally, the transition from Intune to Automox over 3.5 years ago has been positive, and I am happy with the support from Automox.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The only thing that bothers me is the cost associated with Automox when you already have Office 365 licenses, like E3 or E5, which offer Intune for free. Using Automox requires paying extra per device, which can get expensive. From a cost perspective, Microsoft has an advantage, although I find Automox better service-wise.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Automox for endpoint management, patching Windows, Linux, and MacOS devices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting. It helps prioritize vulnerabilities by CVE numbers and automate workflows with Worklets, saving manual effort and enhancing security.

  ### 6. One Solution for Seamless Windows and macOS Patch Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Single solution for both Windows and macOS endpoints that provides a seemless patch management experience. Easy to set up shared policies and worklets that target software on both platforms in addition to deploying OS specific management

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Device status reporting can sometimes take time to update or not accurately reflect the current state of a machine. One example would be reporting that a machine is offline when it is actively logged in and connected to the Internet. Often this corrects itself in a matter of miutes or requires a web page refresh in the management portal

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enables seemless, automatic patch management across our deployed inventory from a single pane of glass and provides significant management capabilities over using Intune for this process. Policy creation is both simpler to do and provides greater level of control. Automox support is always ready to assist with any issues.

  ### 7. Automox Makes Patching and Endpoint Management Easy with Great Automation and Value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox has made patching and endpoint management much easier for our team. The automation, visibility, and cross-platform support help us stay on top of updates with far less manual effort. The price has been extremely compelling as well.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The biggest downside for us is that some of the reporting and analytics could be deeper, especially when trying to identify trends or prioritize remediation efforts across a large environment. The platform is effective for patching and endpoint management, but there is still room for improvement in the intelligence and automation recommendations it provides. The UI could use a little more refinement and integrations haven't been something we touched on at all, this may be more down to how we use the system but we have not found a lot of support for integrations.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox has helped us standardize patching and endpoint management across our endpoint devices while reducing the amount of manual work required from our team. The platform is fairly easy to navigate and gives us a centralized view of compliance and device health. The automation capabilities have saved significant administrative time and improved our ability to keep systems up to date and secure. Have had no issues with performance or outages throughout the years of using Automox.

  ### 8. Automox Security & Efficiency

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guy T. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The base engine of Automox is great, the management specific for MSP need some improvements.
in additional to that, when there is bugs, Automox system handle it very slowly and some time required us to pay for extra support even if this a bug.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The licensing model, which is structured per MSP rather than per individual license, is advantageous for the vendor but less flexible for MSPs, as it can limit scalability and cost-effectiveness when managing varying client sizes.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the primary problems it addresses is the complexity of patch management across different operating systems and geographical locations.

  ### 9. Overcoming Challenges with Cloud-Based Endpoint Management Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

really like how easy Automox is to use, especially since I didn’t have much experience with patch management tools before. Recently, I’ve been using its Autonomous Endpoint Management features more, and it’s been helpful to automate patching and keep systems compliant without much manual effort. The overall visibility into devices has also improved, which makes day-to-day management smoother.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

One thing that could be better is the visibility during patching. When updates are being installed, it just shows “Installing,” but it’s hard to tell the actual progress or if something is stuck. A progress bar or more detailed status would make a big difference.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security patches are extremely important for all operating systems. Hosting internal servers that hold or perform these security patches can be a labor intensive task. Choosing to have Automox host these servers while giving us an easy GUI to use not only saves us server space, but also time.

  ### 10. Automox Makes Multi-Platform Device Management Easy with Helpful Worklets and Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I like that Automox supports multiple platforms. It’s nice to see the posture of all my devices in one place and be able to manage everything from a single location. Their worklets are also very helpful and easy to use. On top of that, their support, training sessions, and videos have been really helpful as well.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Setup and installation aren’t very easy, and they can sometimes fail. The logs and reporting could also be clearer and easier to read. In addition, patching or running commands occasionally doesn’t go through or fails to complete.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has helped us improve our company’s security posture while also unifying device patching across the organization. With schedules and automations running in the background, we spend less time on routine maintenance and it’s saving us both time and money.

  ### 11. Automox is the real deal!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The best thing about Automox is how hands off it becomes after you get your groups and policies configured. The implementation of the groups and policies is very easy as well. It functions as a well oiled machine! The account reps and support reps are great to work with as well!

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I don't dislike anything about Automox. There's been a few times where they're having an issue on the back end and processing of patches is delayed. That's a bit of an inconvenience, but is usually fixed in a few hours.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox helps keep our devices patched with Microsoft updates as well as third party patches.

  ### 12. Streamlined, User-Friendly Setup with Helpful Device Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I love how streamlined Automox is. It is super user friendly and even someone with minimal experience can get this application set up. I appreciate all the information that is given for each computer and how often updates are given on upcoming changes.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Sometimes, it can be hard to tell if an update has run as it has no progress bar. I get the occasional user who asks me if the update has completed or not.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So much! Security updates are a big one. Most users in our org do not run regular updates and this application keeps them up to date.

  ### 13. Automox Patching Capabilities We Love

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacie B. | Zipcar Student Ambassador Internship, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

We really love Automox’s patching capabilities!

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Right now, we don’t like that it doesn’t integrate with SolarWinds, which is our ticketing system.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main business need was to be able to support our users by remoting in quickly and in a timely manner, while also keeping the cost lower.

  ### 14. Perfect Application Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Using this to manage app updates and security releases. This tool is perfect to keep admins up-to-date on any security breaches and ensuring patches are installed on affected devices. Plus the UI is pretty easy to use. Deployment on both MacOS and Windows was easy to set-up.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Only downside is how it doesn't work so well with MacOS updates as we use secure token/FileVault and unless we get each user to input their password to allow Automox to manage their device or passing through an secure token user password in plain text in a script. Neither are favourable.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing Patches in one location for both Windows and Macs. Automating patch management is also much easier and less manual intervention.

  ### 15. Automox V2

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Medicine | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Beyond what I already mentioned (very useful and powerful, ease of use, ease of implementation, ease of integration), one new thing I like is how Automox handles Autonomous Endpoint Management (AEM). It reduces manual work by automating patch management and policy enforcement across OSes without needing traditional agents or scripts for basic tasks.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Yes. As I mentioned before, if you don't have prior experience with the solution, some actions like launching your own scripts can feel complicated. I think Automox could improve by adding more guided wizards or templates for custom scripts, so less experienced users can run them more confidently without deep scripting knowledge.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The automatations that you can implement for specific task

  ### 16. Automox Patching in my workplace

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The UI of the site and the ability to run updates to all the PCs in my organization so effectively. It saves us so much time.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

One downside I experienced was remoting into a Mac device. I was able to successfully but it took a few tries. Otherwise the product is great for keeping track of Mac user's and machines

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its solving our automatic patching issue which sometimes takes us a long time to go through every PC in our environment. As well as keeping our servers up to date

  ### 17. Easy to Navigate, Everything You Need at a Glance

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I love that I can easily see everything I’m looking for as soon as I open the application. It makes it very easy to use and navigate.

Sometimes the application lags or goes offline without any notice, and then I’m unable to access the bots I rely on day to day.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onboarding was very easy, and the application is straightforward to use, which reduces the time I spend trying to figure things out.

  ### 18. One Pane of Glass for Easy Internet Patching and Remote Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

All patching is in one pane of glass. I can patch over the internet and don’t have to be connected to a VPN, which makes the whole process much easier. Remote access is also awesome.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Not all third-party software patches are available.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the biggest problem was access to users devices for monthly updates, now if it is connected to the web it gets the updates with bonus reporting

**What do you like best about Automox?**

With the new addition of the splashtop as a remote viewer it has only gotten better. The quarterly sessions they do for optimization is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Nothing at all. They just kee getting better and better.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

the application that crashes, especially the RMM, and you have to restart it, as it gets stuck on downloading.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox helps me with remediations, vulnerabilities, and advanced scripting.

**What do you like best about Automox?**

This program does not interfere with any of our security stack programs and has worked flawlessly for 2 years on many Windows Server versions.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I have no dislikes about the app or the interface or the rules etc.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not have to manually log in to each server to get updates status and something cannot be rebooted for whatever reason I get an email and know which servers require attention.

  ### 23. Reliable Patch Deployment and Handy Remote Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessie M. | IT Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I don't have to worry about keeping track of third party software updates. That saves me a lot of time every month.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Sometimes it's difficult to configure certain software, however, there is great training available.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Third party software and specialty software installs that only need to go to a certain group, and not all devices/users.

  ### 25. Simplified Patching with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I mainly use Automox for Windows patching, but it also handles some third-party tasks. What stands out to me is the ease of use and the dead simple UI. Automox is easier to set up and configure compared to Intune Autopatch, and the update schedules are straightforward and less ambiguous. The initial setup was rather easy, which is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Sometimes even when machines are online overnight and reboot to apply patches, the machine immediately asks for a reboot controlled by Automox to apply updates when a user logs in in the morning.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox provides enterprise-wide patching with consistent timing and update rings.

  ### 26. Effortless Setup, Superior Device Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan B. | ICT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I love how Automox provides a centralized approach to managing our device estate, which immensely enhances our reporting and visibility of device health. The user interface is remarkably intuitive, and its simplicity stands out as a major advantage. Additionally, I highly value the ability to build custom worklets and policies tailored to our specific business needs, offering significant flexibility. Automox's integration with Rapid7 is another substantial benefit that enhances its functionality. The initial setup was very easy, quick, and straightforward, allowing us to be up and running within hours. Furthermore, the shift to Automox from Datto RMM was primarily driven by its cost-effectiveness, advanced functionality, and superior flexibility. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with Automox's comprehensive offerings and would highly recommend it to others, giving it a rating of ten out of ten.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I find the lack of integrations with Jira and Teams to be a limitation. This adds complexity to our workflow since these are tools we frequently use.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Automox for centralizing estate management, improving reporting and device health visibility. It simplifies OS patch management and remediation, offers easy setup, and integrates with Rapid7 to enhance functionality and flexibility.

**What do you like best about Automox?**

For our company, it has helped automate updates and remediations. The support team is very responsive, and Automox University is a great learning tool for getting up to speed and continuing to learn.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Scans are at 4 hours and while real time scan is not realistic. If this could be reduced to 2 hours would be much better.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This helps us keep our devices in compliance while also improving vulnerability remediation. Otto AI has been very helpful for creating custom worklets, and the API integration with Axonius has been key as well.

  ### 40. Makes patching way less painful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenil K. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

We’ve been using Automox for a while, and honestly, it’s saved me a lot of headaches. Before, patching was this long, boring process I had to babysit, and sometimes updates would get missed. Now, most of it just happens on its own, even for our remote systems.

The dashboard is simple enough once you get used to it, and I like that I can set up policies and not worry too much after. Only thing is, in the beginning, figuring out custom policies took some trial and error. Reporting could also be more detailed without having to export stuff. But overall, it does what it promises and has made patch management way smoother for me.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Takes a bit to learn, reporting could be better

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A few months ago, we had a critical update that needed to be pushed out quickly. Normally, that would’ve taken hours of manual work. With Automox, I set the policy, and by the next day, all our devices were covered without me running around checking each one.

  ### 41. Effortless to Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bobby T. | Sr IT Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Using Automox to patch a mixed-use Linux environment has significantly streamlined our IT operations. Automox's cloud-native platform allows us to automate patch management across various Linux distributions, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates. The intuitive interface and powerful automation capabilities enable us to schedule and deploy patches seamlessly, reducing the risk of vulnerabilities and improving overall system stability. Additionally, Automox provides real-time visibility into the patch status of all devices, allowing us to quickly identify and address any issues. This has not only enhanced our security posture but also freed up valuable time for our IT team to focus on more strategic initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Difficulty in accessing logs directly from the device page. This limitation can hinder efficient troubleshooting and monitoring, as it requires additional steps to locate and review logs. Streamlining this process by making logs more readily accessible would significantly enhance the user experience and improve overall operational efficiency. Despite this inconvenience, Automox remains a valuable tool in our IT arsenal, but addressing this issue would make it even more effective.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linux patching after migrating off a Red Hat Satellite server and cross-platform Coverage: It offers comprehensive support for multiple operating systems and third-party applications.

  ### 43. Using automox for security (from a developer's view)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankita K. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The best thing about Automox is that the entire solution is cloud based. Being a software developer it eliminates the need to have the entire complex solution, which makes it very easy to scale and deploy across different distributed team. Another thing that I find very useful is its ability to automate patching through policy-based rules, so this allows patches to be deployed efficiently without any disruptions.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The thing that I dislike about Automox is it does not have built in automatic patch rollback feature for problematic updates. So if it installs any patch which does not well E2E, we have to manually uninstall it or make custom updates to rectify

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems it solves for me are numerous in number. For example, the legacy patching methouds required manual intervention which was very time costly and we had to track updates, test, and deploy. With automox patch deployment across all OS saves time and effort. It also provides patch compliance across all endpoint. It also reduces the riskk of cyber attacks throughout by ensuring all devices are up to date patched against all the known vulnerabilities.

  ### 44. Reliable Patching with Minimal Hassle

**Reviewed by:** Venkatesh P. | Sr. Hardware Test Lead | Qual Lead (Contracting at Microsoft Hyderabad) , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Hands-off automation that consistently works after setup.

Clean, centralized dashboard for Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.

Custom scripting via Worklets gives flexibility without complexity.

Responsive support and a helpful user community.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Patch reporting lacks depth, making audits a bit tricky.

Stuck updates provide little feedback until the next system check-in.

The UI can feel clunky when digging into detailed settings.

Server support isn’t as robust compared to desktop environments.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox helps solve the problem of manual patching by automating updates across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. This means:

Saves time by removing the need for manual updates

Improves security by ensuring systems stay consistently patched

Simplifies management with a single dashboard for all devices

Eases compliance through automated patch logging

  ### 45. Powerful and Flexible Patching

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox strikes a great balance between power and usability. The two standout features for me are Worklets and Patch Schedules. Worklets make it incredibly easy to automate complex configurations and remediations across platforms, while Patch Schedules allow precise control over when and how updates are applied—critical for minimizing business disruption. The UI is intuitive, and deployments are typically reliable and fast, even in remote environments.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

My main concern is with some of the reporting metrics—specifically around CVE exposure and time-to-remediate (TTR). For example, a critical vulnerability might show as “80 days exposed” in the dashboard, but that figure reflects the public discovery date, not when it was actually detected on the device. This can make it harder to evaluate internal performance and compliance. I’d also like to see more clarity or filters in vulnerability timelines. Lastly, while not entirely Automox’s fault, getting Apple M-Series devices into a patch-ready state takes extra manual steps, which adds to deployment friction.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using a tool like Automox provides several key benefits to organizations looking to streamline endpoint management and improve security posture. First and foremost, Automox enables centralized, cross-platform patch management across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments—making it much easier to enforce consistent patching policies regardless of whether devices are on-premises or remote. This consolidation reduces the need for multiple tools and simplifies operational overhead.

Another standout benefit is the automation flexibility offered through Worklets. These customizable scripts allow IT and security teams to automate remediation, configuration changes, software installs, and even compliance enforcement. This capability significantly reduces manual intervention, enabling teams to respond quickly to emerging threats or system misconfigurations while adopting a more infrastructure-as-code approach to endpoint management.

Lastly, Automox enhances organizational visibility and reduces risk through real-time dashboards that track patch status, vulnerability exposure, and compliance levels. These insights allow teams to prioritize remediation based on CVSS scores or known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs), ultimately helping to shrink the attack surface and accelerate audit readiness. Together, these benefits make Automox a powerful solution for modern, security-conscious IT environments.

  ### 46. Automox Review after testing and implementing across 200 devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andre N. | IT Security Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

What I like most about Automox is the fact that it can apply patches to multiple different operating systems. I also like that it has the ability to schedule when patching will be done across multiple different groups of devices. Automox is one of the easiest implementations that I have done for patch management, its simple dashboard that can be exported to PDF that gives an overview of Compliant Devices, Policies Executed and available patches. Furthermore the policies that you can create are simple and effective, giving you options to install patches that does not require a reboot daily and patches that require a reboot weekly. Automox also integrates with SAML which makes sign in much more streamlined.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I dont have much negative feedback other than the session expiry is a slight bit short, and it is quite expensive compared to other patch management solutions.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Evertrade, is a Medium sized enterprise with around 300 Windows, Linux and MacOS devices mixed, It makes patch management a breeze as it supports the three of the most common operating systems as it is in our environment. It benefits our organization by making patch management simple across multiple different operating systems with the most simple to use interface.

They value feedback and are committed to making Automox better. For anyone looking for a reliable, evolving tool to tackle patch/vulnerability management, Automox is a solid choice.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

One area where Automox could improve is in reporting making it a bit more robust would really enhance the experience, especially for those of us digging into the details for MSSP work. Additionally, improving how third party application versions are displayed would make it easier for engineers to search for software deployed across their tenant.
