## Automox Reviews
  ### 1. Automox saves time when you use it properly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teddy M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Automox?**

It gives you a central place to manage & patch your devices with visibility and detail logs

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

You need to configure the policies very carefully, otherwise, your device might get patched or rebooted at unexpected time slots which causes server/service outage.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Automox, we do manual patching regularly which costs a lot of time for our DevOps engineers. So by using Automox it really saves our time and money.

  ### 2. Extremely User Friendly and Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erich M. | Network Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I like how simple it is to setup groups and begin updating devices right from the get go! We were able to get our devices patching in next to no setup time. In fact, we didn't even need all of the time slated for setup with the onboarding team.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The authentication piece I feel, is a little clunky but not a deal breaker. I know we are able to use SAML login through Google which would be great but we still have to enter our email addresses each time.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have many devices that leave our internal network in the hands of users on a variety of networks. Having piece of mind knowing these devices are going to be up to date and secure.

  ### 3. Solid Patch Management Software

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

- Currently having troubles with some Macbook Pro's.
- Only getting access to one environment with 1 mailadres.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Outdated software
- Vulnerability scanning
- remote access
- installation of software insight

  ### 5. Great patch Management solution for hybrid environments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryhlen S. | System Adminsitrator , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

i like that it is cloud based so I that i can keep an eye on all my remote users and see if they are up to date on patching. If they are not i can schedule patching and reboot schedule.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I wish i could limit user access based on group built in the interface instead of by organization setup.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping my endpoints up to date on patches and scheduling patches for after hours to maintain my machines so i know that they are patched with the latest fixes. We are also able to remote into machines for troubleshooing.

  ### 6. Overall very good product that they're continuing to improve.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Regular patching for client systems is very easy and trouble free.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Not enough audit reporting in a way that's easy to access.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching of all the various pieces of software we have deployed.

  ### 7. Automox saves time and provides additional insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I like that it is cloud-first, multi-tenant, and multi-os. I like that it takes care of basic patching automatically and also allows more customization when needed, very helpful for us and our clients.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I'd like to see better overview reporting of all tenants so that myself and the team can identify where they need to put their time. So rather than choose each tenant, and then see what requires action, be able to see that at a global level. This would save a lot of time.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch Management is the simple answer. But it also helps answer the questions around zero-day patches where we can provide our clients specific reporting that 25%, 50%, 75%, etc... of their devices have been patched. They love having that data!

  ### 8. We have had a great experience using Automox. It is easy to deploy and very easy to track issues.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dale C. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox deploys not only to Windows & macOS but also to Linux. And it works on our servers as well. And I use the API routinely.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Our employees dislike being forced on a timeline to update their laptops. And Apple makes corporate updates very hard. This is not an Automox problem but a company problem.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pushing out updates in a timely manner to our end users. Before Automox, we had no way of knowing that updates were being performed.

  ### 9. Awesome solution for remote patch management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit M. | SOC team leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox gives us a central place and visibility to see what is the patches situation for our clients.
As a cybersecurity company we have our reputation on the line, and we did a vast research on the best solution to fit these needs.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I honestly think there are now disadvantages here.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox keeps us assured to patch operating systems, web browsers and dozens of third party applications.
Automox policies keeps the process automated and requires minimal inspection.

  ### 10. Zero to Hero Config Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack S. | Senior Security Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

How easy it is to get the solution online. With very little effort I'm patching and running worklets across Windows, Linux and Mac on and off the network.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Too many pricing tiers. A lack of audit on what users are doing within the console. No version control or audit on worklet or policy changes.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox solves patching based on a patch release date for a "ringed" deployment strategy. Ability to build worklets with scripts and payloads.

  ### 11. Patch management made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian T. | CISO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Ease of onboarding, reporting, ease of use and integration with our vulnerability management application. regular product updates from the automox team

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

As of yet, I am unable to find a downside, the application does exactly what I need it to.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

patch management for multiple applications, not just OS, it is now easy to see patch levels across all devices. Automox also integrates with our vulnerability management solution

  ### 12. Great product that lets you roll out mass updates and programs.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan Z. | IT Support Specialist / System Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I love that I can roll out massive updates and choose when the system will restart.

Exploring the UI and setting up Notifications are easy.

All computer information is laid out in an easy-to-find manner.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I wish it was a little easier to roll out specific programs inside of Automox. You almost have to script everything to get what you need to be done which can make rolling out multiple programs time consuming. I also wish there was a way for all the applications to always install the newest version of an application.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

If you need to roll out mass updates and programs this is a product that could work for you.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to deal with users not wanting to run updates and when a support ticket comes in I can see everything displayed in a great format from serial number to computer model.

  ### 13. Think outside the box

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel G. | Director IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox has a simple-to-use interface and works great for remote patching and remote access to endpoints. The workbook area is excellent and has a library of commonly used scripts to help automate admin tasks

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I think automox needs some more intergrations

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management and remote access

  ### 14. Automox and Jumpcloud works well together

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel A. | Desktop Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox has this function that will consolidate all the required apps patch, and OS updates and require you to approve and it will auto push to the relevant schedule groups.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Nothing to dislike. Is the way to go. There was one when we tried implementing wallpaper change by using Automox but the only ready available script is for Macbook and not for Windows. We posted on the community but no reply from them.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helps with constantly checking if updates of your apps are required. For example, it will show u there is a Chrome update required for your approval.

  ### 15. Automox Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelvin I. | Security ENgineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

GUI looks really good, I'm impressed by the features and colors it offers.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The activity report is not up to date. The dashboard is also not up to date/live.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We'd like to see Automox have more on it's roadmaps like the issues I just mentioned.

  ### 16. Cloud base path management solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omid R. | Cybersecurity Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The user interface is cool and easy to use, and managing the devices. Also, worklet/PowerShell is very powerful

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The report is not very useful from a vulnerability management perspective

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

patching all remote workers device

  ### 17. Automox for patching

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I like that Automox is multiplatform and offers a wide variety of packages including community sourced packages.

Their documentation is robust and makes it straightforward to look up how to do work necessary for implementation.

They are also very active on the MacAdmins community Slack answering questions from customers which is greatly appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I think that their approach to macOS operating system patching, while pragmatic, does not align with recommended practices and adds unnecessary risk via additional Securetoken holding accounts on a device.

The way that they talk about patching compliance is very opinionated and I'd like to see them offer more flexibility to customers to gather up, for instance, all the Chrome installs to see what compliance looks like from that angle.

As currently implemented, it takes significant work to get the information I need out of the tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Do a proof of concept and ensure all your reporting needs are met before implementing and signing a contract.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox is in our environment to specifically solve the problem of how we patch across both macOS & Windows endpoints without having to manage and build out separate tooling.

  ### 18. Automox makes patch night easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I love that we can schedule patches using policies and groups. I love that we can install software via the Required Software page. I love that there is a worklet catalog.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I don't like that I can't export a device list. I don't like that I can't see what patches were recently applied to a device from the device page. Linux support is lacking. Rebooting after patching isn't reliable (or never happens) even though it is specified.
I don't like that we can't easily export a pre-patch report for a group or All Groups.
I particularly don't like that searches are automatically applied when changing filters on the left pane. I keep a bookmark with limited results, just so can switch around without automatically searching.
I don't like that clicking on a group from within a policy removes it even when you aren't clicking on the minus icon. I should be able to navigate to a group from a policy.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Evaluate your options and choose the best service.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching servers is so much easier and makes a daunting task into a simple one. I feel like our company is safer and more secure by having regular patches done.

  ### 19. Amazing product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

We bought this during Covid so we could patch machines remotely and it has been amazing to work with!

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The only thing I dislike is if you go over your licenses, then you can't deploy any new agents.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is automatically patching computers and making sure people are rebooting their machines to apply the patches.

  ### 20. Automox Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randal P. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

  ### 21. Automox - The patch management solution you always needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean N. | Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox is easy to use and allows you to patch common applications seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

If an application is not on their supported list, it's a lot more difficult to patch because all the steps to identify the necessary configuration are manual.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

When considering all the other players in this space (and there aren't many!) Automox was the clear choice for ease of use and easy rollout.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox allows us to easily and automatically patch most of our common business applications without much of an IT overhead.

  ### 22. Very Useful patching product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** R A. | Cyber Security Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Ability to patch easily - windows, linux and some third-party patches.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Unable to patch most of third-party patches.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching effeciently

  ### 23. Painless Update tool for Windows. Little bit of Pain for Mac

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan F. | IT Service Tech, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox provides clear information about what applications require updating, what applications are failing updating, and why, as well as a schedule for installing and updating new patches. You can use very basic PowerShell or bash commands to create your own scripts to install updates, or you can use any of the scripts the Automox team has created, or any that the community has created.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

There are issues with updating and restarting. Sometimes a computer restarts, but the console doesn't update. It also has issues reconnecting to Macs running ARM chips. This has been addressed recently, but we still see some computers not connecting. This is a minor issue as often another reboot will reconnect.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we are 100% work from home, we were unable to keep computers on the latest security patches for both OS's and applications. Additionally, the cost to have someone manually update machines is beyond our capability. By utilizing Automox, we have increased our security without impacting our users and have substantially cut our time spent updating machines considerably.

  ### 24. Review of Automox

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox is easy to use to patch systems and distribute/install applications. I like that you can create/use Worklets (based on PowerShell and Bash scripting) to create, automate, and enforce any custom task on endpoints.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The interface has a basic design. It also seems a little slow when navigating from one screen to the next, as the application displays a "Loading ..." icon in the middle of the screen.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During the Pandemic, most of the company's users started working from home. In addition, our company was expanding to different geographical regions, and an on-prem patching solution was not meeting our needs anymore. Also, not every user connected back to the office via VPN to receive system patches. We needed a centrally managed clould based patching solution that ensures all the corporate systems are up to date on patches.

  ### 25. Good Value for money

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angus M. | Information Security Professional, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The cost, I was able to use it for one device; most others were wanting a minimum number of devices before you could use the service this made these services expensive. Automox allowed me as a freelance information and cyber security consultant will enable me to practise what I preach and do it automatically patch

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The interface took a bit getting used too

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

if you are a small business if a small number of pc's this is a cost effect way to manage patching

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping my pc patvhing uptodate

  ### 26. Best patch management I've ever used.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neal B. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The flexibility, customizations, and massive list of supported software. I have yet to find anything not supported, and the scheduling options make the end-user impact as minimal as possible.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The Dashboard is easy to use but feels unresponsive at times. If it were snappier when navigating from page to page, it would be easier to spend more time there experimenting with cusomizations.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our IT team is small, Automox has helped me install and manage software for users all over the country and to be able to vet updates before they impact the users.

  ### 27. Co-parenting Between Security and IT with Automox

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Security and Investigations | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Connectivity is good, resource consumption is decent. Admin options are plentiful through the worklet interface. Integrates nicely with SOAR platforms.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The interface is not as intuitive as it could be. It seems like it takes a few too many interactions to get to where you want to go. There is no shell to drop into on the endpoint.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes spawns multiple instances of itself. Idle resource consumption seems unnecessary if the service doesn't have any tasks. It handles scheduled patching with low overhead.

  ### 28. It has failed to impress so far.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Easy to use administrator console and fast cloud response times.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Only a quarter of devices are patched and up to date. Not much to go on to troubleshoot the ones that are not updated

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

No comment on recommending the product.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing has been 'solved' per se. This solution was not implemented to solve a prior issue.

  ### 29. Excellent cloud based patch mgmt app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natan G. | IT manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The enforcement policies are great and works as expected.
The most powerful tool are tge worklet.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Lack of support response time.
The worklet enforcement to the endpoints sometimes taking too long.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Yes.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ms,apple,third party patches

  ### 30. Fast to implement great product for patching endpoints. Rapidly Growing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory W. | Senior Systems Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

That it is pretty fast for a SaaS solution and lightweight.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Reporting on why a endpoint missed needs to be better. Needs a window to show logs regaurding that endpoint.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monthly patching and Vulnaribitlies and required software. Easy to deploy new hardware and customizable.

  ### 31. Some room for improvement but helpful

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The flexibility that worklets provide, as long as you know how to write them.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Finding why an update failed isn't always easy.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying software, monitoring compliance rates, scheduling, etc.

  ### 32. helped get our patching into compliance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

ease of use. good graphics and dashboards. made patch management a breeze

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

not all apps supported. some applications have problems. the search could use some improvement as well

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are meeting our compliance requirements while users are working from home

  ### 33. Great experience with light weight endpoint management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Low resource cost, ability to create and implement scripts.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Needing to administrate it yourself; last I used, very few 'packages' available.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems was installing software at scale.

  ### 34. Excellent third party patching product.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox can patch third-party software on devices regardless of network location or connection to the domain. Automox works exceedingly well for our hybrid environment.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I wish that on the fly deployments of software were easier, and more available. Similar to the functionality of PDQ.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox allowed us to ensure patching of both the OS and third-party software occurred even as we shifted to a work-from-home environment.

  ### 35. Highly recomended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Automox?**

We were originally attracted to Automox due to their ability to patch third party programs, but stay because of the ease of use and the ease of rescheduling updates.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The cost can be high if you want to utilize the commandlets.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Third party patching, reporting, and changing patch schedules are so much easier than other programs. If a critical patch is released, it's trivial to change the settings to patch it ASAP.

  ### 36. Great Patch Management That Actually Works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary E. | Senior Technology Support Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Patch management is easy, granular and actually patches the systems! Reporting then gives a good overview of where your environment is at patch-wise. Amazing tools and great reliability. Better than any other solution we have tried.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Some actions (like software deployment) does require some scripting and in the event of complex tasks, a lot of scripting.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Really consider what kind of management you need in your organization. If the concern is enforcing patch policies and manual approval of updates - plus great visibility and reporting on patch status - then Automox is a great fit. If you are looking for a solution that just has a bunch of programs pre-built in for new software deployment, know the Automox can do software deployment well, but does require scripting know how and really doesn't have a lot of "built-in" options.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Software deployment and Patch management are the main issues we are resolving, though reporting/visibility are a part of that as well. Being cloud managed means we can access our patch management anywhere, and it also means our remote machines and laptops do not have to be in the office to enforce patch policies.

  ### 37. Capabele platform that does the job!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maikel R. | Manager Security eXperts, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The multi-platform support for Windows, MacOS and Linux from a single console combined with agent based patching does make it a very capable platform that reduces software vulnerabilities rapidly.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The list of build-in supported third party software could be better compared to others but you can work around this with worklets

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Software related vulnerabilities, configuration changes and multi-platform maintance of devices time and place independently.

  ### 38. Automox is giving us time back.

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Give our IT department needed time back.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

There is not current support for Tablets.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to keep all devices updated and secure.

  ### 39. Patching with Automox is simple and painless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Love the product's ease of deployment and timely response from support along with the proactive approach of Automox and the Automox Alive Community.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Not much of anything except a more robust reporting section. Excellent product for dealing with today's Work From Home environment.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Automox seems very interested in improving the product by rolling out new or improved features which can be tracked by viewing the product roadmap. Besides standard patching, you can check for and deploy required software and apply non standard changes using the scripting possibilities built on PowerShell called Worklets. Being totally a cloud based solution is a plus. There is timely response from support along with the active Automox Alive Community.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch and compliance when many employees are working from home. Easy to deploy and maintain.

  ### 40. Painless patch management automation

Super easy setup and UI, 80% of the patching for 20% of the work

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management, vulnerability management

  ### 41. Automox Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Automox?**

A Simple and intuitive web portal that makes a hard job easy.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

No custom reporting at this stage. Being able to customize for different audiences would be great.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great Product. Makes managing fleet patches and security posture a breeze.

  ### 42. Easy cross platform patching

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Automox?**

It works with all the OSes we use in our infrastructure. Most other patching tools either only support one or two Linux Distro's or don't patch macs. This has allowed us to simplify our environment to a single dashboard for patching instead of three.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Only downside is if users jump from one subnet to another often (For laptops) the agent sometimes can show the device as being offline until the next scan schedule or the system reboots. Also they haven't gotten access rights quite squared away so you can't yet limit access to specific groups to specific users.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

If your main need is being able to patch Windows, Linux, and Mac systems both local and hosted (AWS, Azure etc), push scripts for policy changes, software installation etc and don't want the overhead of multiple servers for patching Automox is great. They have fantastic support, have a growing worklet library for software installs, GPO changes, bitlocker enforcement etc.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous patching solution required an on premise server and did not patch Ubuntu or Macs. It was also a very convoluted process to view the information I was looking for such as OS build, last check-in, if the system required a reboot plus they wanted extra for troubleshooting and deployment. I'm now able to have an easy to read dashboard , have worklets for custom scripts, and can more easily create many custom patching schedules for the same groups.

  ### 43. More than Patch Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roman K. | Senior IT System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The user interface is simple, clean and easy to sue even by first time user. No need to to spend too much time on training.Ability to deploy patches quickly and not only for Windows but also Mac/Linux and patch 3rd party software. It is very powerful and flexible tool to help administrators to provide patch management.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Not really anything that I dislike ... Automox came long way where is today and it is still evolving solution that has more to offer in future with adding more features into product. Right now only dislike is the Slack messages about added and removed hosts into dashboard as they do not provide details. However, I believe this is very small thing and will be fixed in future releases.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Really try it out, ask right questions. Automox is listening to its customers and constantly improving the product and adding features into product.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solving the major task of any sysadmin in company -- patching all hosts, on internal network or our remote users as well Automox allows us to react quickly to zero day vulnerabilities and be able to push the patches way quicker then before with old solutions.

**Official Response from Molly Pals:**

> Thanks for the input and great review, Roman! We're excited to hear about your positive onboarding experience. As for the Slack feedback, we agree and will provide a better solution for that soon!

  ### 44. Great start-up solution, manage diverse endpoints, easy interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Visibility into endpoints? Patching across Mac, Windows, Linux? Deploying software or policies? hard to pick just one thing!

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Reporting is on the way up, I know from speaking to the team at Automox, but currently it is the Achilles heal.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Automox is a SaaS Systems Management tool I would easily recommend. It works cross-platform and gives quick insight into system hardware and software, the ability to patch on schedules and as you desire, and more. This was the only tool that met all of our requirements when we searched for a cloud-based cross-platform tool to perform inventory, software deployment, and patch management. Add to that the excellent price point - it was an easy decision.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you have a diverse infrastructure of endpoints, how do you patch? How do you deploy policy goals? How do you deploy new software? Now imagine you do not have Active Directory, on top of the real-world fact that AD doesn't play well with Apple or Linux anyway. Automox solved all of this.

**Official Response from Molly Pals:**

> Thank you for the great review! We're glad to hear Automox works well in many different areas to meet your needs and that we can provide it to you at a competitive rate. Regarding the reporting call out, we're actively making improvements so stay tuned!

  ### 45. Automox is an awesome product for meeting our patching needs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh W. | Systems Administrator, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Ease of use and price point. The design of the web portal is beautiful. I love using Automox.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The inability to search devices based on additional parameters such as last user to login.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Make sure to plan out your deployment in coordination with all team members throughout the company.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our systems are secure. I am saving time as an admin by not having to manually patch all of our Windows & Mac computers.

**Official Response from Molly Pals:**

> Josh, thank you for your awesome feedback. We're glad to hear our product is easy for you to use and fits your budget! Your search feedback is helpful and we're actively working on adding more functionality in this area.

  ### 46. Best software for getting Windows patches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J.R. S. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Automox?**

We have been using it for 2 years and every week it applies the patches to our 100 computers. If a patch cannot be applied we get a weekly email that informs us what failed and why. We then can research each failure and the patch applied or have the patch ignored. With WSUS this was not possible. WSUS, in my opinion, is not easy to use and not effective

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

To be honest I do not dislike anything. It is a great product and very helpful

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Give it a try. It is worth your time.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are keeping all our computer patched and secure. The benefits is it is automatic and we do not have to worry that a computer went unpatched.

**Official Response from Molly Pals:**

> Thank you, J.R.! It's great to hear that you're having a wonderful experience, please don't hesitate to send us more feedback as you think of it. :)

  ### 47. Just a little bit about Automox

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I like that I can setup patching schedules per grouping of machine. For example, we have our clients split up based off of the type of machine, then we patch the machines on different schedules.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I dislike that I can't simply pick the days of given months for patching. I have to choose by the month and week. But, for instance, If I want to patch every 4th week of every month, if there is a day that is on it's 4th iteration that month, but not a part of the 4th full week of that month, the patching starts earlier than expected, so you have to setup a second patch schedule to handle split weeks.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are utilizing Automox to handle monthly patching for OS updates and third party applications via patching schedules. We also have a schedule set that installs important patches daily if needed, but without forcing a restart. The downfall of doing that is if you install important patches without requiring reboot, then most clients don't get restarted until it's time for monthly patching.

  ### 48. Easy and effective cloud-based

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John K. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The overall layout and intuitive way to add endpoints. It is easy to divide them into groups and set schedules

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

It is sometimes difficult to consistently apply patches, but that is more to do with the endpoint

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Well if you are installing it on a newer version of Mac OS make sure you have all of the security settings correct or it will not work

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of constantly needing to patch in this day and age of hacking and malware!

**Official Response from Molly Pals:**

> Great feedback, John, and we agree with you! The patch orchestration is complex and while it's most of the way there, we believe we can improve it in the future. As for the MacOS challenge, we also see room for improvement here and have that on our roadmap for the near future. Thanks for the insight!

  ### 49. Automox has been a lifesaver.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Everything they have to offer -
Patches and visibility,
Required Software,
Custom Policies allows for all sorts of fun things.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

They're still heavily evolving, but so far the largest negative impact has been the dashboard. Loading times are sometimes difficult to bare.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

If you're looking for an all in one patch/software solution, you can bet Automox will take care of it. If there's anything you think it's missing Automox will happily take your suggestion under advisement, and you shouldn't be surprised if you see it pop up in a new release.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Update compliance, remote support, and visibility for both.

**Official Response from Molly Pals:**

> Hi there! Thanks for the feedback! We're happy to hear our product has helped you improve your time usage and gain greater visibility into your environment. We understand and agree the Dashboard could use some improvement, it's in our plan to update!

  ### 50. Patching made easy!

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

There is nothing so far to dislike about it.

**Recommendations to others considering Automox:**

Proceed with it!

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching made easy for remote systems.

**Official Response from Molly Pals:**

> Thank you for the great review, Yash!
