Ability to roll out automatic weekly scheduled patches.
Ability to remotely connect to people's machines.
I also really like the endpoint management system and the web UI, I find it very easy to use.
I am a frequent user, I like to use Automox everyday simply to check patches and also to remote onto devices.
Very easy to implement for my organisation which has a size of 150 people.
Great Customer Support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The multi-factor authentication seems to disconnect at times, this could be due to connection issues, this is something that can be improved.
Integration with Mac users could be improved and enhanced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Love that we can not only use it for remote connection to machines but also we use it for patching, vulnerability scans, software patches, software installs. With the modules that they offer being all user based it opens the door to the market for usability. We use it everyday for anything and everything. Anytime we have needed assistance from the support team they are right there on the ball to get us helped out. Implenetation and integration in the network was super fast and easy and training that they offer to admins is very very handy. Top notch service and reliability. Not much to say that I dislike. They schedule updates in a manner that is conveinent for you and its rarely been down. One time in the now 2 years we have had it in place and only for about 2 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Automox is a really good patching tool and if you give it a bit of time to setup you can achieve quite alot of configurations and solutions for your company.
I would even say its so easy to use you most likely wont need to call customer support but even if you did they are more then happy to give you a tour again.
we used it everyday for all of our windows servers for a full year without any kind of misshaps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The logon time is way to short, its a bit frustrating when you are having alot stuff open at the time and you intend to back in quickly to check something but you need to manually log in again.
Automox should seperate OS patching and security patching and 3rd party software patching into different categories in the software section instead of having one big one instead.
A uninstall flag on your agent exe would be appreciated Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It allows quick access to remoting in to computers and provides an assortment of worklets that can help with patching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are times where the service for the agent has stopped and we are unable to access it without starting the service again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ability for us to push out specific software to groups on computers quickly and without interruption. For example; say a group of users needs have a new version of a specific software updated. Instead of our helpdesk going around to each user and installing it on their computer, we can run a worklet and silently install this remotely. Worklets also allow us to see an "activity log" for our policies, this will return the results of powershell scripts that were run on specific devices, so we can comfirm if the script worked, or if there were errors and troubleshoot from there. I think it would be better if there was some more tutorials and help located near where you create worklets, because this would save time because when I'm not sure how to make a policy to do what I specified, I need to go online and do some research and this can take awhile.
Possibly automox could have some prompts like "I want to create a worklet that does... [Generic IT Task] and help the user costume a worklet based on already available powershell scripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Automox is incredibly easy to use, with a smooth implementation process that had us up and running quickly. The platform offers a wide range of features that cover all our patch management needs, from automating updates to monitoring system health across multiple platforms. We use Automox frequently to ensure our systems stay secure, and the intuitive interface makes it simple for both IT and non-IT staff to manage. The integration with our existing infrastructure was seamless, requiring minimal setup. Additionally, the customer support has been very responsive and helpful when we've needed assistance. The only downside is that Automox does not support older, obsolete operating systems. It would be great to have compatibility for legacy systems, as upgrading all OS versions isn't always possible right away. However, for modern environments, it performs flawlessly and has greatly improved our patch management processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think Automox is a very user friendly GUI. It's easy to jump right into it and know what you are looking at. I basically taught myself how to use it within a day, which for softwares such as these is pretty impressive. I am also a fan of the filters and how well they are laid out, it's quite easy to find what you are looking for in a quick pinch. The features in remote management areas are top notch, I feel like softwares of the like for similar products don't work well with triggering remote updates, but Automox does which just makes my life a whole lot easier. My only gripe or dislike is when I'm in devices and set a filter, if I click into a specific device and go back to the main device page it clears my filters, otherwise the product is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For admins who are familiar with things like Jamf and SCCM there isn't much of a learning curve here.
Automox does quite a bit well, and they seem willing to take on the challenge of patching new apps that aren't in their catalog yet. I am cautiously optimistic that they will start to take care of a few edge titles in my specific environment that have very frequent updates, and is a pain to manually patch.
OS updates and Upgrade management is a major reason we turned to this platform and by all indications, it is going to fit the bill quite well.
How things are orginized in the platform makes sense, and gives you a lot of good information at a quick glance.
At our tier, we have custom onboarding which has greatly facilitated our implemtation of this. I look forward to finalizing things.
The added bonus of things like a remote support tool add a ton of value to us.
In my experiences with their support arm - they seem competent and generally provide a timely and cohearant response to questions and issues I have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would really like to see the ability to customize the branding on the notificaions a bit, and get way more granular in the types of notificaions we send out to our end users. On windows, there is a generic Green checkbox, and I feel that the notificaions piece could be greatly improved.
On the macOS side, I think Automox would *GREATLY* benefit from using something like swiftdialog to enhance the ability to brand, and customize precisely what our users see.
I wish that the process for secure token on the macOS side was a bit less painful, but being fair to Automox, Apple has not made this easy for anyone, and I do have a solution that works, it is just sub optimal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Streamline Patching, Software installs and uninstall with customizable worklet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are occasional delays in device reconnection and some false positives where it shows pending updates even when Windows Update reports the system is up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great tool when you need to manage the network without a full work force. Get a big view on the network vulnerability and then deploy updates needed from your desk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I had more options of moving the dashboard around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
