## Automox Reviews
 ### 1. Vulnerability Patching Automation with Automox

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal S. | Remediation Engineer, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I like Automox because it is easy to use, its automation documentation is well-written and easy to understand, and I find the Worklet feature particularly fascinating.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

There is nothing to dislike about Automox, but I think the reporting could be more precise.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am working on Windows servers, and applying patches with Automox is quite flexible and easy to deploy. It is also more time-efficient compared to other tools.

 ### 2. Windows and 3rd party app patching made SIMPLE!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox has been a LIFE SAVER when it comes to Windows Security patchin and third party app patching. With previous auto-patching tools we've dealt with counter-intuitive scheduling, confusing GUIs, and lack of clarity around what is patched, what needs to be patched. Automox just works out of the gate after creating policies, and the Dashboard tells us exactly the information we need, regarding workstations that are compliant/non-compliant, the status of our custom policies, and critical patches still needed across the organization.

We've also been leveraging the app deployment tool whish was something we didn't know we would use until we did and it's exceptional at deploying apps. Status of deployment is instant; there is no clicking around to find logs and error messages.

This is one of the few tools that we've been able to "set and forget", and we know it's doing its job. Such a relief in a world of complicated and unintuitive SaaS apps.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The remote access tool could use some polishing. It is sometimes slow to connect and occassionally does not connect at all. Also, sometimes the mouse is offset by an inch or two within the remote session, making it very hard to work in it. We're working with support on this.

Also, having to login multiple times throughout the day, each time AutoMox is opened, gets tedious. Having a 'stay logged in for the day' option would be helpful.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox provides Windows Security patching based on scheduling, severity, and workstation/user availability. Previously we used tools that were either too intrusive, not automated, or not simple to use. Automox solves those problems.

 ### 3. A good tool for managing updates.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

We use Automox to manage patching for several different OS types (Linux, MacOS and Windows) across our organization. Automox has made that whole process much easier. Before we had to use three different tools to manage the patching for each OS. Now we can manage patches from one place. There are also a lot of different features that almost make this an RMM level solution that we have found very useful as well. The remote support feature is one I would call out as very useful. Deployment was fairly easy as well. It does require an agent to install but configuration of the agent wasn't needed. It was a simple install and key input to get everything running.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The UI can be a bit overwhelming at first. It can be difficult to see what should be happening to each device as they can have several rules applied but there isn't a way to see how they all work together. You can see rules for each group but you will need to drill down into that group rather than that info being available on each device.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing patching for each OS that we have running in our environment.

 ### 4. MSP software that works

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It''s helping us stop patch tuesday from microsoft.

 ### 5. Great Cloud Based Patch Management System

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig M. | VP Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox has been great for us as a service provider. Maintaining a central server for patching was alway an obstacle when dealing with a multi-tenant customer base. Automox easily solved this issue for us. It's also very affordable for our clients.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

There's not much to dislike. It's been a good tool for our use case. Maybe adding more multi-tenant features would allow a better experience for our customers.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solved the issue of maintiaing a central repo server for updates. We are a service provider and opening holes in our network to allow a central server is not a best practice. Automox solved this issue for us. Also allows for multi-tenancy which was a hard requirement.

 ### 6. Easy to use, built more for Windows

 ### 7. Easy Patch and Policy Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox can be used to apply patches, custom policies, deploy code, etc. for Windows, MacOs, and Linux distributions with relative ease and has a library of premade scripts to get started quickly with. When done right, most policies are a set-and-forget experience, requiring only occasional logins to change or reapply to individual machines or entire groups.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

There are a lot of premade scripts to get started with that should be sufficient for getting your team off the ground, however since it is largely script-based, this does also require a significant understanding of all the operating systems in your environment and how to get things done in their respective console or terminal applications whenever changes or more advanced scripts are required.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's keeping both physical hardware assigned to employees and remote servers updated and compliant with our security practices so that we seldom have to remediate these issues manually.

 ### 8. Cloud-native endpoint and patch management solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gihan K. | Senior Network and Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Most like feature is Automox can deploy fully cloud base centralized platform without any on-prem infrastructure and the policy-driven automation feature that support to create patching and compliance policies.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Limited support coverage for third-party applications. It required manual scripting or separate patching workflow for most third-party applications.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox support to upgrade patches automatically via workflow and Realtime vulnerability remediation.

 ### 9. Automox: Patch management made easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Its pre-written worklets in the catalog are of great help.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The agent connection is not upto the mark, There have been incidents where it shows incorrect status.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox solves issues like manual patching, security vulnerabilities, and compliance by automating patch management across systems. This saves time, reduces security risks, and ensures consistent updates, allowing IT teams to focus on more important tasks. It benefits users by improving efficiency, security, and scalability.

 ### 10. Best Patch management Software for windows and 3rd party application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haritha W. | Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The solution is delivered with fully SAAS, so we do not need any on prem resources to manage the relevant agents

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

As this is a cloud solution there can be unavailability's and also the cost is high for a cloud solution.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can check the missing vulnerabilities and we can avoid that via deploying the patches

 ### 11. Great solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitch P. | IT Operations & Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

what I appreciate most is that it doesn’t try to do too much. Unlike some other tools that spread themselves thin, Automox focuses on what it does best—patch management. It’s simple, effective, and keeps endpoints secure without unnecessary complexity.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The script library feels a bit limited for my needs, though that’s likely due to my specific use cases. While there are useful pre-built options, I’ve found myself needing more than what’s readily available.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Automox, our previous solution was unreliable—patching was hit or miss, and the UI was awful to navigate.

 ### 12. Automox is making patching easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2025

I was looking for a tool to work patching my enviornment and when I setup my trial account everything was so easy! I Have been logging in everyday to get the policies setup just the way that I'm wanting dut to having different machine roles but all of the different features that are there make it so easy to get off the ground and working!

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The remote feature that is an addon isn't my favorite but that is ok because this can just run in the background!

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is setting up our patching schedules and forcing reboots to ensure machine security is up to date.

 ### 13. Love the new UI

We use automox for patch management as well as using it to deploy commands/fixes, it is super helpful when needing to push something to a machine and helps our org stay compliant.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

in the past, it was the restarts/lack of notice, since the new UI update it has improved

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Computers where users do not update/stay on domain, with automox being a cloud solution, we can push these updates out easier

 ### 14. It is truly makes it automation

**Reviewed by:** Ravi P. | Security Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The capabilities to bring the automation to real life of patch deployment

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Some the worklets doesnt work at all. like reboot

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we have the small team of the PM< and automox is doing lots of automation out of the box for patch deployment, which bring down our work to no to little.

 ### 15. I Love Automox

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Logan S. | Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I like how it combines a bunch of crucial things needed to run IT for a business all in one place. From pushing updates to getting general knowledge about a system, its a great product. I use this product every day for work and it has never failed me. It also makes it easy to push software for easily integrating each laptop with the software we need.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I wish there was a way to manage files on a system through Automox, that would just add to the convenience of having everything in one place.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that Automox solves for me is cutting down on all the clutter and having a much easier solution to access everything to help end users.

 ### 16. Easiest way to patch a large fleet.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frederick H. | Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The policies make patch management of a large fleet of systems easy. We haven't been able to keep this under control through SCCM or Microsoft Intune or through other MDM solutions.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

While I see the benefit of zones, I feel like it is un-necessary for most enterprises.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox is scanning the end user systems and providing vulnerabilities along with easy profiles to fix the vulnerabilities.

 ### 17. Automox agent is well designed to showcase all the information of the server.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raja M. | Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

We use Automox to patch the servers on a regular basis, and tweaking the server groups defined for the policy makes it much easier to develop and maintain unique policies for all types of servers in a single console.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I don't feel any difficulties in using the automox/cons on this ?.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching the servers on periodic basis.

 ### 18. Automox is good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John A. | Service Desk Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

It's easy to use and to push out end points to users. The dashboard is clean and simple to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Sometimes the end point will stop talking to the main control panel. You have to force start the service, or uninstall and reinstall it on the end point.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps keeps out end users machines up to date. We also use it to push out PS scripts

 ### 19. It does most things well, it still need some things polished.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I use it all the time to look up devices by IP and see who is logged into it, this tells me who's PC it is. I like the 3rd party patching, it works great.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I don't like the restart messages. The user thinks they can ignore it and then restart via window on their time and it will count and to Automox, it's not counted as a restart unless initiated by Automox.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does 3rd party patching great. This is the only patching we are currently using it for.

 ### 20. The UI is very easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamarul A. | Cyber Scurity Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Easy to manage the zones and managing devices for updates

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Sometimes the update doesn't apply to the devices due to agent not communicating with the UI

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Upgrading windows to latest and greatest for security compliance.

 ### 21. Powerful patching software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh L. | Information Technology Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Overall easy to navigate system that has great capabilities. The patching tools are good for counts as well as integrations with other SIEM servies and SSO components. Fast and accessible console that allows for content deployment of multiple kinds of software and tools and automated script deployment with fast and live results. Customer service teams have always been helpful and quick to respond if an issue arrises, taking feedback and making product changes to get the system into a better place. The overall setup is fast and easy and new client installs are automated and deploy seemlessley. Using it to baseline machines simply by installing the one agent. This is a tool I use everyday.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Some of the dashboard widgets can be frustrating to navigate and are not able to be directed to a group of machines. The agent has the occasioinal issue of lagging out as a service and requires it to be restarted to get accurate patch numbers.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enterprise patch management. For any system it is always a challenge to keep all machines alinged and patched. By using Automox it gives an good overall use and ability tokeep an eye on patching without breaking you back digging through everything.

 ### 22. Secure and manage your remote workforce

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinol F. | Engineer - Systems and security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The ability to easily update and monitor a large remote workforce and automate day to day activities to keep those devices in compliance with company policies. This will also aid in keeping those devices secure from vulnerabilities and software issues related to Windows and third-party applications.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Lack of on-premises delivery optimization features. While Automox can easily patch devices through the internet, there are no local caching abilities for LAN devices to save bandwidth.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to keep a large workforce of remote devices up to date and patched

 ### 23. Automox is a great solution that just works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karl H. | Sr Security Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox is a great solution that works really well across all platforms. I have tested against Tanium and for ease of use, functionallity, performance, and platform support Automox out performed in all areas. Not only did I test the product but the support as well and their support team is very responsive, add the community support that they have you can get most any issue resolved quickly. If you know power shell then you can use Automox to do even more.

Their third party support is very good as well. I was able to install the agent on vendor supplied appliances in a monitor only mode, this allowed me to keep my vendors in compliance when they were found to not updating security patches in a timely manor. For example Automox was able to detect Suricata signature updates and found out that one of the vendors had a configuration issue that stopped the signatures from updating. I was able to catch this and work with the vendor to get this resolved, without the notification from Automox I would have never known that this was not updating.

Emplemetation could not be any easier, just download the agent and push it out using the automation platform of choice. I was able to use PDQ Deploy to push this out to all end points with no issues. Its integration with Crowd Strike end point protection allows you to deploy using their agent to deploy.

I have found that once you get it setup the way you want it with the groups and patching profiles you do not need to log in to the console very often. Just setup your reports and it will tell you when there is an issue. I do logon to the console on a weekly bases just to confirm everything is working.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The only thing I would like to see improved would be the dashboard, feels a little outdated and needs a refresh.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to monitor all applications across Windows, Linux, and Mac systems, local and remote, then push out patches to those that need it and remove software that is against our policies.

 ### 24. Powerful Automation Beyond Patching

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox has been one of the most valuable tools in our environment. The platform is easy to deploy, the interface is clean and intuitive, and patch management is straightforward.

One of the most useful and unexpected features is Worklets. They are essentially PowerShell-based automations that Automox regularly publishes, while also allowing you to create your own. This gives you the ability to automate nearly anything you can script directly from within the platform.

Another favorite feature is the ability to ingest CrowdStrike vulnerability data and automatically remediate identified issues. This has significantly reduced the time spent manually addressing vulnerabilities.

I also appreciate how responsive the Automox team is to customer feedback. They actively listen to suggestions, regularly release new features, and those enhancements often align with real-world customer needs. The new MCP server capabilities and Splashtop integration are excellent examples of that commitment to continuous improvement.

Overall, Automox has helped us improve patch compliance, automate routine administration, and strengthen our security posture while reducing operational overhead.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The only area I would like to see improved is dashboard customization. The existing dashboard is clean, well-organized, and provides useful information, but every organization has different priorities and metrics they need to monitor. The ability to fully customize widgets, layouts, and displayed data would make the dashboard even more valuable and allow teams to tailor it to their specific operational and security needs.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox makes endpoint patch management seamless and largely hands-off once deployed. As a small IT department, it saves us several hours each week while helping improve our security posture through automated remediation.

Beyond patching, the ability to run universal scripts, leverage Worklets, and deploy files from the cloud alongside scripts makes automation incredibly powerful. It allows us to automate routine administrative tasks and software deployments from a single platform, further reducing manual effort.

 ### 25. Good patching software which patches WIndows/MacOS as well as 3rd party applications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashok M. | IT Security Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Ability to configure set and forget patching policies

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Automox agents get disconnected frequently and the troublehsooting of the issue is hard. This means device siwll miss patches if the agent is disconnected

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is dolving the problem of having 3rd party applications patches as well as patching first part updates such as windows updates. SInce its agent based once an agent is installed on an end device the device will be added to the automox console and we can configure set and forget patching policies which automatically patches the devices and keep it upto date with the latest security updates.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox is user-friendly and capable of handling lots more than just patching.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

sometimes we have agent connection issues with our endpoints and have to troubleshoot or reinstall the agents

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we used to havet o patch EVERy server manually. We now have the capability do this this with a click one a button. Makes our lives much easier.

 ### 28. Fairly intuitive and straightforward to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ella K. | IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox has an easy learning curve, and I find it easy to use when deploying mass software updates and monitoring different machines from one console. It is easier to do this than in SCCM in most cases.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

It can be difficult to monitor which machines might error out when receiving updates. It would be a lot easier to monitor if there was a visual representation once the updates are completed. Occasionally, I also find it difficult to know if a singular machine has received a script or worklet. It might follow the same vein as having that visual representation to show if there were any issues receiving or pushing the worklet.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily use it to manage our patches and Windows updates. Automox does make it easier to see when updates are available and which machines will receive them.

 ### 30. Great Product and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason P. | IT Support Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The automation aspect is great. Price is on Par or better than other solutions. We use it for patching as well as a replacement remote support options. The machine only needs an active connection to the internet to get the patching and remote support is basic but works better than other free services. We used to user TeamViewer but it got to expensive and required more actions on the users part. This system allos us to push software, update and provide remote support all in one package.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

The automox service that runs on the devices tends to disonnect or turn off at random times. A reboot of a PC sometimes fixes it but for the most part we end up having to restart the service for it to get updates and allow for the remote support. This is not a major issue though as its fairly random.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves the issue of PCs getting bad patches and allows us to control the flow.

 ### 31. Simple and effective patch management

Automated Patching
Cross-platform support
Cloud based and remote management
Custome policy and scripting
and also, fast deployment is the best thing in this product

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Limited third-party app support
Patch rollback limitation

 ### 32. Easy to deploy and start updating

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

It's simple to get up and running fast with pre-built policies.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I should be able to patch now anytime I'm reviewing a device.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were doing patches on servers manually and allowing users to update their endpoints themselves. Server patching would take hours each month and we found that users were ignoring patches for 3rd party applications. Automox solved these issues.

 ### 33. Automox the ultimate solution for Vulnerability Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I appreciate Automox for its simplicity and effectiveness in managing our patching needs. The automated patch management feature allows us to quickly address vulnerabilities across our systems without manual intervention, which saves us valuable time. I also like the real-time visibility it offers; being able to see the patch status of our devices at a glance helps us ensure compliance and quickly identify any issues. Overall, Automox has made our patching process much smoother and more efficient, giving me confidence in our security posture.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

While I’ve found Automox to be a valuable tool for patch management, there are a few areas that could be improved. Sometimes, the learning curve can be a bit steep, especially for new users who may struggle with the initial setup. Additionally, I wish there were more customization options available for policies and workflows, as this would allow us to tailor the patching process more closely to our specific needs. Overall, these minor drawbacks don’t overshadow the benefits, but they are worth noting.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automox has been a game changer for me and my team when it comes to patch management. By automating the patching process, we can quickly address vulnerabilities without spending hours on manual updates. The platform’s real-time visibility allows us to easily monitor the status of our devices, which has made it simpler to ensure compliance and identify any potential security gaps. This efficiency not only saves us time but also gives us greater confidence in our security posture. Overall, Automox has streamlined our workflow, enabling us to focus more on strategic tasks rather than getting bogged down in routine patching.

 ### 34. Simple UI and implements patching easily.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan R. | Senior Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Automox?**

The UI makes overviewing required patches, which devices are out of compliance and pushing patches very simple. We have implemented automox for multiple clients, making patching across a wide number of devices simple and easy. The in-depth details you can get with patching and script results makes for easy troubleshooting as well.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Currently, I have had no issues with automox.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are an MSP with multiple customers. Having a patching portal with an easy to read UI and implementation makes patching easier, especially troubleshooting.

 ### 35. Improvement of visibility and management in patching

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Reportability, the report formats can be improved to review the logs.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before, there was no visibility and patches had to be applied almost manually.

 ### 36. Solved a huge problem and continues to deliver value.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Automox was easy to implement with great documentation and customer support, easy to automate and gave us completely autonomy around our regular tasks and patching.

Automox maintains both OS and App updates, if the app doesn't allow updates through its OS provider worklets can be built to allow full custom patching and installs of required software.

We initally used Automox everyday to get us to a state of good, since then after adding schedules and automation it has become a backend tool only really accessed for reporting and additional worklets to be added, the rest Automox handles perfectly.

As per the above i've had very little issues getting Automox integrated but the few questions i did have at the start where perfectly sorted really fast by the support team, our account manager was also great, extended our trial, helped us licence in a way that really suited the progression of our business.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

There is only really one thing which isn't a dislike more of an improvement.

The reporting can lack a little but has been improving month on month we have been working with the product.

We have found the data extractions get around all of the reporting issues but there is definetly some more niche reporting around patching that would be really nice to have.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate patching
Automate runbooks for config and app installation
Automate security polices on servers
Automate server maintenence

 ### 37. Bridges the MDM Gap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I love the platform ubiquity and how well it works to managed any and all updates and software installs. Truly powerful tool.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I would love a bit more of a modern and simplified UI, but I understand how difficult that can be with how complex the tool is.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Installing all Windows and third party software updates.

 ### 38. Very Well Supported, not always user friendly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

For the most part if it wasnt easily do able, Automox is able to support you in a fix. Usually though it is pretty easy to configure the system to do as you wanted it to.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

We had a software issue, and automox would simply not work on some PC's. I had to be very meticulous to get them to pay attention to the fact that there was an actual issue. It took nearly 2 months of work to get it straightened out. While yes it was a big issue, and once they looked at it, the issue was resolved very quickly. The only complaint I had in the entire ordeal was that it took so long to get them to admit an issue and send it to an engineer.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid patching and scripting that we need on a regular and sometimes spontaneous need.

 ### 39. Automox is efficient, intuitive and simple to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

With Automox, we effectively maintain our clients and servers at performance and security by ensuring they're always up to date. Our team also leverages the community feature to discover innovative scripts, which further enhances our reach. The service offers us reliability and smooth operations, giving us peace of mind. Personally, I find the tool intuitive and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

An aspect that could be improved on the platform is the script deployment process. It can be challenging to track the progress of scripts, and at times, I found it difficult to locate script logs.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since adopting Automox to streamline patch management for our operating systems and third-party applications, our organization experienced several key changes. We've saved time and effort on client and server maintenance, and our security has strengthened as a result. We have gained back valuable time that we can now dedicate to other critical IT tasks.

 ### 40. Automate your patching? Yes please!

**What do you like best about Automox?**

Patching large number of machines automatically, group devices into specific groups for patching rules, block or allow patches, push updates immediately

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

UI takes some learning, there are buttons that you need to know what they do before you click. There is risk of clicking the wrong button and pushing out a patch or an action to all devices in the group unintentionally.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching large number of devices, ensuring clients are up to date with patch compliance levels.

While the Otto AI should only be used as means to help you, there are times that is has thrown out some really bizzare responses. That will take some time to mature.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a blended environment (50/50 mac and windows), and this greatly helps us with patching both OS's. Cuts down on trying to manage 2 different tools.

 ### 49. Great Single Paine of Glass software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

There are many things I like about Automox, but its automation is what I love most about it. It’s so helpful to be able to schedule tasks and set it to run without having to think about it.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

I think Automox has some great features, but they seem like they’re hidden away on purpose. I’ve had problems accessing them on more than one occasion, and I had to resort to digging around the documentation each time. That’s not always an ideal option.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really like that the Automox dashboard has a way to highlight patches that are critical. This streamlines the patch deployment process and allows me to address the most important security vulnerabilities first.

 ### 50. Automox is a great tool if you put the effort into using it to it's fullest.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Automox?**

I like the flexability of being able to write my own custom scripts to deploy software. With it being able to run native powershell, you can realistically do anything you want. Deploying the software was simple with us deploying it with our EDR tool. We use it mainly for patching and deploying software and it has been great for those purposes.

**What do you dislike about Automox?**

Some of the reporting I feel could be better. Why did certain things fail and having the logs from the backend to see that. That is my main one.

**What problems is Automox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to patch large amount of devices over the network. Also being able to deploy software easily using custom worklets.
