The level of streamlining Policies for Compliance. As a part of Cloud cloud-based company, we are highly expected to deliver devices with security and compliance. Automox has made it easier to manage policies as per clients and sends us alerts to monitor non-compliant devices. Reports are easier to avail and can be even presented without much effort
Automox excels in patch management, software updates, and configuration. This reduces the need for manual intervention, saving time. This is implemented to several customers to show our efficient way of Patching and automation which they already love!
We use this software daily to monitor and it is easy to deploy on all servers and user devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As for now we haven't noted anything to dislike about yet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most helpful thing about Automox the amount of information that is provided to us about the assets and the ease of deploying scripts to many devices at once. One of the upsides to using Automox is the UI/UX, as it is very easy and intuitive to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least helpful thing about Automox is the limits of the worklet catalog. One of the downsides of using Automox would be that there is a lack of information and tutorials made by third parties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It saves me and my team SO much time. Previously, we relied on manual patching and had hundreds upon hundreds of vulnerabilities. The implementation was relatively easy and integrated quickly into our onboarding app installations with our MDM. Customer support has been extremely responsive. Patches for common apps are easy to schedule with minimal work required to get it set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The secure token for Apple Silicon devices remains a lingering issue that requires manual remediation in a lot of cases. The agent doesn't always connect as expected causing patch delays/vulnerabilities. There's a pretty steep learning curve given it's largely designed to "set and forget" due to the automated nature and not using it regularly means lack of knowledge from utilization. Covers our Windows estate and has powerful features such as 'applets' to run automations on target servers.
Also the customer support is very good and the agents are clearly knowledgeable about their product! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not the most intuitive to use.
The Web UI can be a bit buggy; e.g. when changing MFA method or setting up SAML SSO, it asks for a verification code, i provide the correct one, and then nothing happens; or I enter the SAML config it is asking for, i get a message saying 'zone settings updated' but then SAML is still not enabled, but with no clear reason why not. Very simple and intuitive process to setup and deploy agents to endpoints all over the company. Simple and clear desingn of interface, easy to navigate and find all relevant information. Reduced amount of time I have spent of manually updating particular workstations and gives a better control over vulnerabilities detected and patching them. Policy sets and rules to determine what updates to pick, what to skip are very good. Generally Im very happy about the idea of having a remote connection to end user desktops. Good solution and so simple to integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far nothing except that remote connection takes long time and if user has 2-3 displays its very slow and not so effective when it shows all at once on the main screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate the UI & find it to be intuitive in a way that many competitors are not; the agent seems lightweight & fairly responsive. Policies push out consistently as expected, & worklets are powerful & allow us to go beyond standard patch mangement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The remote control tool is one of my only critiques as it's rather slow & feels a bit archaic, does not have file transfer capabilities which is something I leverage often. They seem aware of this shortcoming though and should be addressing it later this year. I'd have liked to see native integrations with all the major cloud providers. We primarily use Automox for 3rd-party patching that helped fill a major security gap for our existing tools such as Microsoft Intune and SCCM. Additionally, the granularity of the tool is a key factor that set's it apart from competitors. Having the ability to unify patch procedures for all our Operating Systems (IOS, MacOS, Windows 11, Windows Server, RHEL) is a huge win. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lack of standard, automated API integrations with leading Vulnerability Management Solutions, such as Tenable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use and ability to run PowerShell scripts remotely to any system that has the agent. Patching 3rd party apps is a big plus as well that we like Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes scheduled jobs don't run properly and we occasionally just re-create a task under a different name to get it working again. Not a big deal but just odd Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love using Automox because it simplifies and automates patch management across all our devices, saving us time and effort. It’s incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, allowing us to deploy patches and updates quickly and efficiently across various operating systems. The ability to centralize everything in one platform means I can stay on top of security updates and compliance without having to manually check each machine. Plus, the real-time monitoring and reporting give me peace of mind that everything is up to date and secure. Automox really streamlines our IT processes, making it easier to ensure our systems are always protected and running smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Somtimes there is isnt the latest updates, for example Edge update that came out the next day, it would not be there to update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
it is very easy to use and a great way to manage and update a large number of devices, convenient for keeping your endpoints up to date, You can set up policies to push Windows updates and 3rd parties applications. Also, it allows you to view critical areas in his dashboard and recommend what action can be taken. Fast installation and set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the website crashes and sends you to a different page. The report filtering may take some time to load, especially for a large number of devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
