"Streamlines Early Design and Collaboration, Needs Better Detailed Design Tools"
4/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I like how Autodesk Forma combines early design, real-time analysis, and collaboration all in one platform. It makes decision-making faster and keeps all team members aligned. I use it to explore early-stage design concepts, run environmental analyses, and make data-driven decisions. It also helps me seamlessly connect design flow onto the construction phase and collaborate with teams in a shared environment. The platform effectively reduces rework by enabling early data-driven decisions and improves coordination between teams throughout the project lifecycle. The initial setup is relatively quick and straightforward with no major issues. It's a very powerful tool for early design concepts, coordination, and connecting workflow. What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

The platform can feel a bit limited for highly detailed design compared to more matured tools. I would like to see stronger detailed design capabilities, such as more precise modeling controls, better handling of complex geometries, and richer parametric tools similar to advanced BIM software. "Efficient for documentation, need for improvement in issue management"
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I particularly appreciate the user-friendliness of the file storage with versioning and naming conventions, as it is easy to handle, provides a good overview, and is well manageable administratively. I also find the meeting system very successful. The model viewer is great and facilitates the overview. Additionally, Autodesk has provided very good learning resources that have made the transition easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

The issue management system and the model-based tasks do not work well. The model checking in the Model Coordination is rudimentary and inadequate for BIM projects. No rules can be defined for model checking, and attributes cannot be checked at all. An external checking program is needed, but the checking results of such programs cannot be imported into Forma. Additionally, an external issue management system is required. This is a major disadvantage compared to other CDEs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI-Driven Design, Collaboration-Friendly, Needs Advanced Detailing"
4/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I like Autodesk Forma's AI-driven early design features and rapid massing tools; they allow me to quickly generate and evaluate multiple design options, which is a major time saver. The software makes feasibility studies and early-stage planning possible. I also appreciate the automated environmental analysis with real-time insight into factors like daylight and noise, which helps make smarter decisions. The user-friendly interface is modern and very easy for new users to navigate, facilitating quick collaboration. The centralized data and live project boards enhance cloud-based workflows, enabling teams to work in parallel and reducing miscommunications. Additionally, the integration with Autodesk's ecosystem is seamless, allowing smooth transitions from concept to construction with tools like Revit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

From my experience, I can say that the design detailing could be improved. The early stage massing and site analysis is good, but the advanced detailing and documentation capabilities are not up to the mark compared to Revit or Civil 3D. For detailed designing, users might need to use other platforms, which could lead to misinterpretation and transition issues. The AI-generated options are helpful but feel too generic—customizing proposals based on unique client requirements should be more feasible. The integrated analytics are there, but the outputs aren't very intuitive. This can slow down the process, requiring extra training, especially for less experienced teams. Integration with Revit is good, but workflows with other platforms like Civil 3D need improvement, which can lead to inefficiencies. Advanced features are still in beta and tutorials lag behind new features, so they need to be updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Project Management and Communication"
4/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I use Autodesk Forma for uploading project information and managing communication during the review process. It helps me send transmittals, handle correspondence, and raise RFIs efficiently. It keeps all project-related documents organized and makes coordination with the team much smoother. I like how it keeps everything in one place and makes it easy to send RFIs, transmittals, and project updates. It saves time and makes communication simple and clear. The initial setup was easy. What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I would like to see more features in the forms tool, such as options to clearly mark cancelled or void forms. It would also be helpful to have better filtering and tracking of form statuses, so it's easy to see which forms are active, closed, or cancelled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Cloud Collaboration with Powerful Map Photos, Takeoff, and Model Viewing"
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I like being able to connect files between teams and in the cloud, and to access site photos based on their location on a map. Forma takeoff is also well integrated for pulling quantities from sheets in a way that feels similar to common industry methods. The model viewer is another strong feature, especially for people who don’t have CAD software but still need an easy way to view models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

It would be really useful to have a way to set favourite or priority projects on the Home tab. With so many tools and features in the software, it can be hard to know how to take advantage of everything. An optional tips window would also help—ideally a toggle that shows helpful hints at the bottom of the screen when you want them, and stays out of the way when you don’t.

Forma Data Management could also use better storage and handling for non-CAD files, especially PDFs and Microsoft 365 product files, including the collaboration aspects around those documents.

Finally, having access only to specific projects we’ve been added to can be irritating. I’d prefer options for a company-wide folder system so information is easier to find and manage across the organisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Coordination, Needs Simpler Asset Importing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I love how the model coordination works and how it allows us all to work on one project, identify specific clashes, and address them. I also appreciate the docs feature that helps us stay updated with the projects. It's been easy for me to log in and start working, which makes the process so much smoother. Autodesk Forma is a great tool for coordination with some impressive features, and my colleagues believe the software is legendary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

In my view, importing assets could be made easier to work with because even though we use the template, it needs so much customization, and when it doesn't go well, it won't import the assets. I think if there is a way to make it easier, it would be good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Collaboration for BIM Projects"
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I use Autodesk Forma as our centralized CDE environment for BIM projects and IDC/IDR workflows. I appreciate how it keeps all project-related files in one place while allowing multiple team members to work on a file simultaneously. I also like having the option to see the file activity history, which helps us retrieve a version of the file along every sync or save action. Additionally, the notifications sent to specific team members when a workflow is completed are helpful because they eliminate the need to constantly follow up with other disciplines about whether a file has been published. The initial setup of Autodesk Forma was simple for us, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

The Desktop Connector could be more reliable, as sync errors and freezing are common. When saving a CAD file, the way the priority is handled for syncing and updating other projects freezes. Additionally, there isn't an option to pause or prioritize individual activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Workflows and Exceptional User-Friendliness"
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I like the user-friendliness of Autodesk Forma. The Autodesk connector is a wonderful tool that ensures everything is synced properly, which helps our team to complete tasks quicker and more efficiently. There are fewer files being exchanged via rudimentary methods such as emails because everything is accessible to those designated via Autodesk Docs. The initial setup was easy, especially with the help of an Autodesk platinum partner consultant to familiarize our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I wish there was a way to open a file read-only and then check out the drawing after the fact. Too many times there’s been an instance where I’ve accidentally opened a file read-only, made a ton of changes and then had to copy everything that I fixed before closing and reopening that file as check-out. It’s not the end of the world but definitely something that is annoying. I think just allowing the user to check out a drawing file after it’s been opened as read-only is a good way to start. It can be done with double verification because often times people open a file read-only to intentionally not make any changes, but if sometimes changes are intentional, it’s nice to not have to jump through hoops to sync it. "Efficiency-enhancing with Small Improvements"
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I find it convenient that the project manager can view the Revit model from Autodesk Forma. It is also handy that the technicians on the construction site have the drawings and there are no loose drawings lying around. The approval procedures are good and useful for audits, and they provide assurance that everything on the construction site is approved. Setting up Autodesk Forma was easy, with help from Cadac. Additionally, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to use it intensively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

The Specifications are not working well, there is still a lot to improve here. With specifications, it is very cumbersome to get all the data in correctly, too much needs to be filled in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-In-One Platform for all your project needs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I appreciate Autodesk Forma for its exceptional combination of user-friendliness and a wide range of features. I can manage everything I need on one single platform, including data storage, communication, scheduling, and meeting management. It keeps everything efficiently on one platform, which is incredibly helpful for managing project-related data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

Some extensions are still not fully functional. Editing word documents sometimes leaves them locked for other users. Meeting templates are still crude, as only higher level stuff can be saved as a template. I consider these minor nuisances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
