Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) was chosen as the platform for managing our engineering documents because of its integration with Autodesk authoring applications and its viewing and document management capabilities. Due to an ever expanding portfolio of Revit models, we needed a seamless approach to design and management of these models. ACC provides exactly what we were looking for in that area.

We also have a vast library of AutoCAD drawings that ACC helps us treat as a single source of truth rather than a mix of storage mechanisms.

We are looking at the project management tools that ACC has to further leverage the ideal of a single source of truth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are some interesting issues when talking about a single source of truth, from the owner's perspective, especially related to Revit models. Once an owner has the Revit models for a building, the last thing they want is for consultants to link those models into a new model where the consultants do their tenant improvement modeling. This leads to a less-than-ideal project handover at project completion. We are exploring the idea of requiring consultants to work directly in our owner models, but they are naturally reticent to that.

We also find that the markup tools are insufficient as there is no way (currently in 2024) to mark markups as resolved/completed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The collaboration between different disciplines is the best about ACC. The ability to see the Revit model online, without installing the software is a great tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

2D sheet markups are not the best in the field. Also sheets arragement cannot yet be modified to custom sorting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When uploading files the uploading dialog box that pops up is big and once reduced should stay reduced. Currently the dialog box reappears at its orginial size when a new file is uploaded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the design collaboration module and how it allows us to collaborate in real time with other firms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some features are still lacking. With the model viewer nested Revit links are not visible. Also when using the consume or shared method for linking we need the capability to open the models in the consumed folder to adjust link settings to attachment instead of overlay so we can see the nested links. All Admin Tasks are controlled under single website which is really helpful and Autodesk have thought really well regarding collaboration. The options provided to control each and every aspect during a project stage is amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Permission settings of folders could be more streamlined. As of now when a project is of large size, the permission settings doesnt work exactly as intended to manage folder access between various companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ACC allows you to share models with other companies for easy syncing and access without actually giving them your model. It's "live" vs. updating every day and much more convenient. Also you can access it anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
