"Streamlines Project Management, Needs Simplified Setup"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I like the ease of use of the app once you get to know it. It takes some time to learn the ecosystems of Autodesk Forma, but once you do, it becomes very easy to navigate and find exactly what you're looking for. I appreciate how the app and web version are completely different, yet you can interact with both very easily. The app also stores data locally until you have a connection and then all the devices have access to them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

When purchasing Forma it would be great to have a couple of hours of training at least for the basics vs having to figure it out ourselves. Forms can be saved directly to files at the moment without needing to go through multiple steps which defeats the purpose of Forma. Forma is supposed to be easier to use, NOT create more work. The initial setup was also very challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transforming Early-Stage Design with Autodesk Forma"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

Real-time environmental analysis

You can test design options and immediately see their impact—this helps make smarter decisions early, which is where most project value is created.

Fast iteration without heavy modeling

You don’t need a fully detailed BIM model to start evaluating ideas. It’s quick, conceptual, and still meaningful.

Seamless integration with tools like Autodesk Revit

You can move from concept to detailed design smoothly without losing data.

Cloud collaboration

Teams can access and review the same model anytime, which is crucial for coordination across departments (especially relevant for PMC-style workflows like yours). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

. Limited depth compared to full BIM tools

Forma is excellent in early stages, but it can feel shallow when you need detailed control. You still have to move into tools like Autodesk Revit for serious design development, which creates a break in workflow.

2. Integration isn’t always seamless

While it connects with the Autodesk Construction Cloud ecosystem, the data handover isn’t always as smooth as expected. Some information may need cleanup or rework when transitioning between platforms.

3. Limited customization and control

Compared to traditional design workflows, you don’t have full flexibility in defining parameters or running highly specific analyses. Advanced users might feel constrained.

4. Performance depends heavily on internet quality Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Collaboration, Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I really appreciate Autodesk Forma's ease of use. It's a single source of truth and acts as a collaboration space, which is incredibly convenient. I like the multiple tools available, along with the different access levels and permission settings. The availability of various add-ons like boards, correspondence, and meetings is a plus, and I find it valuable that everything is kept within one location. It eliminates the need to switch between multiple platforms, as Forma covers all the different applications our project needs. For correspondence, Autodesk Forma makes it easy to keep all project emails and information in one place by using correspondence as the project's email address. The meetings feature is useful too, allowing for easy scheduling, agenda setting, and sending out meeting minutes, as well as tracking and resolving action items efficiently. I find the setup process with project templates very easy, as we're able to configure projects quickly, and I like that we can make tweaks as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I've always had an issue with reviews. There has been some updates recently which has helped, but there is still room for improvement like adding some permission settings and custom fields, similar to how the submittal tool works. Submittals can still be a little bit clunky. There could be some improvements there also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Robust Tool for Early-Stage Planning with Room for Improved Integration"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I use Autodesk Forma for early-stage planning and concept design, particularly to evaluate site feasibility. What I like most about Autodesk Forma is its ability to support data-driven decision-making at the early design stage. The fast massing studies are great for quickly testing multiple design options without detailed modeling. I appreciate the real-time environmental analysis for daylight, wind, noise, and sustainability, which provides immediate feedback and helps validate design decisions early on. The scenario comparison tools are fantastic for comparing alternatives side-by-side, improving decision-making and stakeholder communication. It's intuitive to use, speeds up feasibility studies, and helps align stakeholders early, which reduces rework in later BIM stages. Also, the initial setup was straightforward, being cloud-based, and the intuitive interface made it easy to get started. This tool is integrated and provides a more reliable data-driven approach than the manual methods we previously used, like SketchUp and Excel, boosting our early planning process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

Some aspects of Autodesk Forma could be improved. While it is very strong for early-stage analysis, the level of design detail is limited, so projects still need to transition early into tools like Revit for detailed development. The learning curve for advanced analysis features can be slightly steep for new users, and customization options for reports and outputs are somewhat limited. Additionally, tighter integration and smoother data handover with downstream BIM and construction workflows would further improve efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Early Design and Collaboration, Needs Better Detailed Design Tools"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I like how Autodesk Forma combines early design, real-time analysis, and collaboration all in one platform. It makes decision-making faster and keeps all team members aligned. I use it to explore early-stage design concepts, run environmental analyses, and make data-driven decisions. It also helps me seamlessly connect design flow onto the construction phase and collaborate with teams in a shared environment. The platform effectively reduces rework by enabling early data-driven decisions and improves coordination between teams throughout the project lifecycle. The initial setup is relatively quick and straightforward with no major issues. It's a very powerful tool for early design concepts, coordination, and connecting workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

The platform can feel a bit limited for highly detailed design compared to more matured tools. I would like to see stronger detailed design capabilities, such as more precise modeling controls, better handling of complex geometries, and richer parametric tools similar to advanced BIM software. "Efficient for documentation, need for improvement in issue management"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I particularly appreciate the user-friendliness of the file storage with versioning and naming conventions, as it is easy to handle, provides a good overview, and is well manageable administratively. I also find the meeting system very successful. The model viewer is great and facilitates the overview. Additionally, Autodesk has provided very good learning resources that have made the transition easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

The issue management system and the model-based tasks do not work well. The model checking in the Model Coordination is rudimentary and inadequate for BIM projects. No rules can be defined for model checking, and attributes cannot be checked at all. An external checking program is needed, but the checking results of such programs cannot be imported into Forma. Additionally, an external issue management system is required. This is a major disadvantage compared to other CDEs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI-Driven Design, Collaboration-Friendly, Needs Advanced Detailing"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I like Autodesk Forma's AI-driven early design features and rapid massing tools; they allow me to quickly generate and evaluate multiple design options, which is a major time saver. The software makes feasibility studies and early-stage planning possible. I also appreciate the automated environmental analysis with real-time insight into factors like daylight and noise, which helps make smarter decisions. The user-friendly interface is modern and very easy for new users to navigate, facilitating quick collaboration. The centralized data and live project boards enhance cloud-based workflows, enabling teams to work in parallel and reducing miscommunications. Additionally, the integration with Autodesk's ecosystem is seamless, allowing smooth transitions from concept to construction with tools like Revit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

From my experience, I can say that the design detailing could be improved. The early stage massing and site analysis is good, but the advanced detailing and documentation capabilities are not up to the mark compared to Revit or Civil 3D. For detailed designing, users might need to use other platforms, which could lead to misinterpretation and transition issues. The AI-generated options are helpful but feel too generic—customizing proposals based on unique client requirements should be more feasible. The integrated analytics are there, but the outputs aren't very intuitive. This can slow down the process, requiring extra training, especially for less experienced teams. Integration with Revit is good, but workflows with other platforms like Civil 3D need improvement, which can lead to inefficiencies. Advanced features are still in beta and tutorials lag behind new features, so they need to be updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Project Management and Communication"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I use Autodesk Forma for uploading project information and managing communication during the review process. It helps me send transmittals, handle correspondence, and raise RFIs efficiently. It keeps all project-related documents organized and makes coordination with the team much smoother. I like how it keeps everything in one place and makes it easy to send RFIs, transmittals, and project updates. It saves time and makes communication simple and clear. The initial setup was easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I would like to see more features in the forms tool, such as options to clearly mark cancelled or void forms. It would also be helpful to have better filtering and tracking of form statuses, so it's easy to see which forms are active, closed, or cancelled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Cloud Collaboration with Powerful Map Photos, Takeoff, and Model Viewing"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I like being able to connect files between teams and in the cloud, and to access site photos based on their location on a map. Forma takeoff is also well integrated for pulling quantities from sheets in a way that feels similar to common industry methods. The model viewer is another strong feature, especially for people who don’t have CAD software but still need an easy way to view models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

It would be really useful to have a way to set favourite or priority projects on the Home tab. With so many tools and features in the software, it can be hard to know how to take advantage of everything. An optional tips window would also help—ideally a toggle that shows helpful hints at the bottom of the screen when you want them, and stays out of the way when you don’t.

Forma Data Management could also use better storage and handling for non-CAD files, especially PDFs and Microsoft 365 product files, including the collaboration aspects around those documents.

Finally, having access only to specific projects we’ve been added to can be irritating. I’d prefer options for a company-wide folder system so information is easier to find and manage across the organisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Coordination, Needs Simpler Asset Importing"
What do you like best about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

I love how the model coordination works and how it allows us all to work on one project, identify specific clashes, and address them. I also appreciate the docs feature that helps us stay updated with the projects. It's been easy for me to log in and start working, which makes the process so much smoother. Autodesk Forma is a great tool for coordination with some impressive features, and my colleagues believe the software is legendary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud)?

In my view, importing assets could be made easier to work with because even though we use the template, it needs so much customization, and when it doesn't go well, it won't import the assets. I think if there is a way to make it easier, it would be good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It would be great if there was a webinar or guide specifically about using BIM360 for design team model sharing. I get invites for many but they are too general and seem to be showing all the features.
