I like the use of Assets in Autodesk Forma, as it helps with finding different items important for the project and organizing them on a sheet for field ease. Integrating Sphere XG with Autodesk Forma to track onsite progress and create RFIs is also useful. Adding a Sphere XG card within Insight has been beneficial. When on the welcome page where you see all the projects, rather than searching for the job, I wish there was a way to favorite a project so it would be on top rather than using the search bar or scrolling down to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Autodesk Forma incredibly helpful because it serves as the single source of truth on my projects, connecting all documents, issues, and models seamlessly. I like that it centralizes where all of our information lives, making it easier to manage everything in one place. The cloud coordination models are a real highlight, as they help my team effectively work together. I appreciate being able to create, save, and share views of the models, which enables my company to collaborate efficiently while running 3D coordination and clash detection. I like that Autodesk Forma provides a great platform to store our project drawings and documents in a common environment where contractors can also access the same files we are working on, breaking down the silos and allowing engineers to collaborate effectively with contractors and fab shops regarding design drawings. There could be an easier way to link between Autodesk Forma and Autodesk Vault. A huge improvement would be to carry the metadata from Vault into Forma. I'd like a seamless way to see drawing descriptions and other attributes in our borders to be visible in Forma. It's difficult the way I have to create templates to capture the border attributes. I use Autodesk Forma as a Construction Project Executive, tracking and managing multiple projects. I really appreciate how easy it is to use, which streamlines administrative processes, saving me a lot of time when we're busy. I find it incredibly helpful that the information gets standardized between projects—this makes it simple for other team members to jump in, share information, and documents. I like the simplicity of Autodesk Forma; it's very easy for me to navigate around and not get lost. I really like how I can preview drawings and PDFs without having to download or open them all up in Bluebeam or Civil 3D. When previewing some DWG files in Autodesk Forma, they don't match well with the background of the screen and are tough to look at. It also doesn't work as well as using AutoCAD to make changes to drawings. The contrast between the drawing and the background is the same color, so you can't identify the drawing clearly. Today, I am using Autodesk Forma to track all the construction projects of the group. It allows for a pleasant continuity of information for users. I particularly like the design part for models, it's a game changer. The management and coordination of BIM models work very well, and the asset tracking is a good feature. I find that the docs module is not yet the true single source of data, there are gaps. We cannot extract everything. This limits the continuity of information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how it connects with other autodesk products easily and it is quite organized. I'm able to send large amounts of RFIs, submittals, without having to keep track of emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do wish it was a little faster, sometimes it takes quite a long time to load sheets, issues, etc. I wish meetings were more customizable and I wish there were ways to delete specs and modify systems more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Autodesk Forma is how it brings together all the tools for sharing information in one platform, and how it’s tailored to the way information flows across the network of members involved in a design/construction project.

I work mostly in the Data Management Tool, but when ocasionally i have the need to use the Model Coordination tool, it has been really usefull. The set up is simple enough but sometimes can have trouble reading some models that are not cloud workshared. Also, the Filters feature make it easy to group clashes of the same kind, overall is a really big improvement from having to do this in Navisworks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I work in Autodesk Forma on a daily basis, specifically in the Data Management tool. One issue I commonly run into is that I can’t copy entire folders. Sometimes I need to duplicate large sets of documents, but I have to do it manually because Forma’s Copy feature only works for single documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the functionality and features of Autodesk Forma. It's great that everything is all in one place, which is super handy for completing projects in the field without needing to switch between different products. It's all in one app, which is exactly what we need during the construction process. The way our projects are set up allows us to access all the information we need for every single asset, which sometimes includes over 10,000 assets, each with its own supporting documentation, tracking, issue management, photos, diagrams, and drawings, all in one product. The iPad apps tend to be a bit buggy, and some functions never feel finished. This can cause problems in the field, especially for users who aren't comfortable with the systems. And often, if the user interfaces don't look or work right, it leads to frustration, causing them to stop using the app. There seem to be more bugs than expected for this level of product, which is disappointing at times. We also face straight-up errors where things won't load, and there have been server issues where everyone gets kicked out. Additionally, worldwide outages of Amazon affect Forma. There's a difference in UI between the web interface and the app, like different font appearances, which affects consistency. Specifically, when placing assets on a sheet, the border thickness varies between the computer and the iPad, leading to a messy look. I use Autodesk Forma on a day-to-day basis for managing our construction projects, and it's a one-stop solution for me. I like how I can sort all my drawings on the platform and add the necessary subcontractors to the appropriate modules. The functionality of Autospecs for creating a submittal log is also a big plus. The ease of setting it up with the help of Autodesk's documentation was great, and the software itself is really user-friendly. We currently are not using Cost Management on Forma, so we really have to go to another platform for Cost Management. I would like to see how Forma could help GC companies in utilizing Cost Management in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
