Top Rated Autodesk CFD Alternatives

The first thing which I like about Autodesk CFD is that it can use raw native files. I do not have to convert it to STEP file. It also integrates well with Autodesk Inventor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Report generation could have been better. Lacks in graph generation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
30 out of 31 Total Reviews for Autodesk CFD
Like all Autodesk products, it has a beginner-friendly UI and a gentle learning curve. The automatic meshing option makes it easier to focus on post-processing and results for simple fluid flow scenarios. Autodesk customer support delivers and the user community is fairly wide. With limited solvers and meshing capabilities compared to industry standard software like ANSYS Fluent and Star-CCM+, it leaves much to be desired in complex flow modeling. That makes Autodesk CFD my 5th choice when dealing with CFD simulations in the automotive, biomedical, or aviation sectors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to use raw native files is the first feature of Autodesk CFD that I find appealing. It doesn't need to be converted to a STEP file. It works well with Autodesk Inventor as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a tool that is gaining popularity, however it lacks the ability to handle sophisticated physics that other competitors do. Integration with other commonly used software appears to be a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a tool which can handle basic level of simulations. Although development is happening but a lot needs to be improved. Easy to use and not much complications to implement boundary conditions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a tool which is trying to gain popularity but lacks handling of advanced physics that other competitors can handle. Integration with other generally used softwares seems to be a hindrance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This software package is very easy to use and at the same time it has a wide range of computational methods to solve real world CFD problems such as heat transfer and navier stokes equations. Also it is easier to learn when compared to other packages Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GUI could be improved further and specialised training courses could be added so that it could be convienent for a new user to implement the solution methods Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's user-friendly, has minimal implementation requirements, appreciable customer support, sufficient features, and is possible in multiple integrations and can be used frequently. Results are easy to analyze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Get slower in case of a low network connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software provides tools for visualizing simulation results, including contour plots, streamlines, animations, and reports. This allows for better understanding and communication of simulation outcomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Computational fluid dynamics simulations, in general, can be complex, and Autodesk CFD is no exception. It requires a solid understanding of fluid dynamics principles and simulation techniques. Users who are new to CFD or have limited experience may find the software challenging to learn and utilize effectively Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
