Easy to use, fixed annual cost. significantly cheaper than full AutoCAD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
limited functionality - no LISP routines. Loses layer settings (freeze etc). does not work with various 3rd party extensions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AutoCAD LT is great because it gives you almost all the full set of features of the full Autocad program, but at a considerable cost saving. There are also great help tutorials online or on Youtube. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are occasionally a few features I encounter I wish I had with the LT version but are only found in the full version of Autocad. Definitely worth the cost savings though, to not have them. I prefer the savings! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. It works with old AutoCAD drawings, or to make new ones. Even after converting to 3D CAD, engineering organizations probably have thousands of drawings in .dwg and .dxf formats which are practically industry standards.
2. Price and license flexibility, product availability. I can license this by the month, quarter or for a longer term based on my needs. it works out to about $50/month. I can download it and activate it with an email address and a credit card. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. It's a bit big, especially for what I need. Software and O/S bloat work to make computers old obsolete when they should be adequate to the task. Rou're just trying to open a 20 year old drawing of a something make it a foot longer and save it under a new name.
2. Help articles online for AutoCAD don't always apply for LT.
3. Useful automation features not included. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AutoCADLT is the lightest version for 2D CAD drawings and is very user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No blocks count (BCOUNT) command. Also not able to raster image in AutoCAD LT Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best feature of AutoCAD LT is the low cost of entry compared to full blown AutoCAD or the Architecture, Engineering and Construction subscription offered by Autodesk. This software is great for our users that do not need plugins or the additional libraries and features that AutoCAD or AutoCAD MEP offer. Our renewables team is straight drafting so they do not use additional features which has worked well for them, and our senior engineers mainly use AutoCAD to review drawings. Better integration of external software programs such as Excel would be handy. Our equipment schedules are written in Excel and sometimes our senior designers and engineers need to update the schedules in Excel. To update it in AutoCAD they then need to ask another designer with the full software to use XL2CAD to import the table. This should be a base feature included with all Autodesk software programs. The price is much more affordable than the full version of AutoCAD and the majority of basic functions are still available to use effectively.
I think it is the leader in CAD drawing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After using full AutoCAD and then moving to AutoCAD LT it was frustrating that some of the functions aren't available, for editing blocks in place.
It would be good if more functions were available in LT but its understandable with the difference between the two Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

All are best in AutoCAd.
It's especially in drawing creation and drafting the lines using layers it's best in ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some time it's take too much time for large Drafting drawing except this it's master for drafting in All field Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
