I like Attentive for their knowledge and their support. They really treat their clients very well.

I think it would maybe be that the analytics and reporting could be better

I use Attentive for SMS marketing and opt-ins. It helps solve new challenges in the SMS space, like adapting to iOS updates, RCS, and industry changes.

I like the ease of use of Attentive. I simply go to the subscriber section and plug in the email address or telephone number of the customer to locate the necessary information.

Campaign set up is very easy. I also like the A/B test functionality. That process is pretty simple as well.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

The reporting could be a lot better, specifically around reviewing segment performance. Every time I think I have segments setup in a way that would allow clean reporting post send, it's not quite enough to get clean data.

The team handling this channel for us is relatively green. The ease of campaign setup has been great for getting the team comfortable in the platform.

I find Attentive very user friendly, which makes navigating and using the platform easy. The AI-generated messaging is also really helpful for structuring send-outs and especially valuable when you're stuck writing content. Additionally, setting up Attentive was very easy.

The pricing could be a little cheaper for monthly usage.

Attentive helps us gain new customers by using email and phone numbers to sign up for newsletters and text campaigns. It's user-friendly, and the AI-generated messaging helps structure send-outs and creates content when I'm stuck.

Since we switched to Attentive, our email and SMS journeys have seen a minimum of 25% increase across the board. It's the most intuitive tool we've ever used, and Attentive's commitment to compliance gives us peace of mind. Their support team is top-notch and always quick to answer any questions thrown their way. They made it extremely easy to onboard and set up our journeys. We love Attentive!

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

The email drag-and-drop builder is clumsy and can have a harsher learning curve; however, we've made it work for us. We find it worth the effort to have emails and SMS in one place!

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a tool that put email and SMS in one place. Attentive is the best tool in the industry and even has a patent on their two-touch SMS signup. We also needed a tool that integrated compliance seamlessly without any workarounds.

The email platform is way behind compared to Klaviyo, etc. We aren't able to do basic things which is frustrating.

Naming convention disparities - campaign name and email/sms name are treated separately and require double work to rename. Segmentation capabilities are limited. Duplicating emails don't duplicate every detail - margins for instance need to be readjusted. No dedicated CSM or recurring meetings to review account. Recurring campaigns can't be edited to shift the end date/schedule. They also can't be duplicated easily without duplicating every single campaign within the series.

I did not initially realize that the attribution window was set to 21 days, which seems too long for conversion attribution. 5 days seems more appropriate and this should be flagged during the initial setup.

Attentive is great for spinning up quick email and SMS campaigns. We use it everyday and its been a crucial tool for generating revenue for us. Making segments and firing off sends is relatively fast and painless.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I do not like the Email/SMS pop up builder, it is very limited so I have ended up using another tool to accomplish my needs. But if you need just a simple pop up they make that easy. If you need complex segments you will have to make that outside of attentive and import it. The UX can be frustrating at times and not save things when you think you have saved it. AB testing pop ups is lacking and you have to work with white glove to execute and stop them.

Quick marketing campaigns for email and sms. Welcome flows to convert customers.

Once you opened a message, it will proceed as read so it's a hard time to check if someone replied to your message.

Instead of relying on emails that often get ignored, brands can send texts that people actually open and respond to. It’s especially helpful for recovering abandoned carts, sending timely offers, and keeping loyal customers engaged.

The personalization is solid — messages feel relevant, not spammy. Plus, it helps companies collect their own customer data, which is super valuable now with all the privacy changes.

Working with Attentive is like having an additional team member. We have a small team who rely on partners who are experts in their field & that is exactly what Attentive provides. They go above & beyond with implementation, strategy & provide reports on a quarterly and by request basis and will walk through reporting very thoroughly.

I love the support team at Attentive and how they come up with new strategies for SMS, especially during holidays and Black Friday. They help us target the right people in the right way. The initial setup was also very easy.

I think the UX for journey building could be made simpler.

Attentive allows us to quickly make changes to text and segmentation. The support team provides great strategies for targeting people, especially during holidays and Black Friday.

Weekly calls with a dedicated customer success manager for your brand/brands. Onsite capture for SMS, which has really helped us grow our subscribers bases and constant new features and recommendations on ways to enhance and launch new initiatives into market.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

The revenue reporting is typically inflated so we refer to our backend reporting as our source of truth. I wish the estimated recipient count was calculated based on the send date and time you select in the UI and not at the time of setup. I wish the the utm_campaign name would populate even when sending a test from the UI to show what the campaign name would look like in the utm parameters for testing purposes.

Set up was extremely easy and on-boarding was very good, much more hands on support than competitors. The team initially building out flows was especially helpful. 

SMS is much easier to use, easy set up and automation flows. Drives very high results and is such a great benefit of the platform.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

Reporting could be improved, is lacking and not as intuitive compared to competitors.

Some issues with a/b testing, for eg you can't clone the winner of a test and send straight to non-openers/less engaged subs, it will only let you clone the entire test and you can't ever remove the lower performer once generated. This seems like a very normal need and yet it hasn't been considered.

Very quick turnaround when needing support, was on-boarded during BF peak to reach customers by SMS, which was very successful.

Attentive is solving our need for a scalable and high-performing retention channel. It allows us to efficiently capture subscribers, segment audiences, and deploy personalized SMS and email campaigns that drive incremental revenue. Features like automated journeys and AI-driven messaging help us optimize performance without requiring constant manual effort. This has led to increased conversion rates, strong ROAS, and a more reliable revenue stream from owned channels.

I like that Attentive is user-friendly. The Journey builder for sequences of SMS is super easy to use and visualize, and I love how the tool is well-built and colorful. I also appreciate the Signup Units, Reporting, and the SMS preview features.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I've had some issues with Quiet Hours; some nuances with timezones aren't as clear as they could be.

I use Attentive for sending SMS to different regions, creating signup units easily for contests or key moments, and building SMS sequences with an easy-to-use journey builder.

function and deliverability is decent - good conversions for the most part.
Used this for every marketing push we can - price definitely adds up.

connecting to shopify was easy

UI/UX is horrendous. look back is weeks at a time. so if you're not actively checking, you will miss messages from patrons texting questions.
integration with Gorgias never worked.

Support wasn't that helpful.

SMS marketing to our customer base. 
Easy to use. 
Besides text limits - that's the issue, then you're spending time to shorten it, emojis take a lot of space.

We're in the eccomerce sector and Attentive has been a great SMS marketing platform for us for many years. I enjoy the user-friendly interface and the strong customer support. Generally speaking, I find it easy to use, especially for list building and deploying campaigns. There support is great in getting you started. I would recommend them for sure. I had much better experience with Attentive versus Klaviyo SMS for example.

It seems like there is a high turn over of reps dedicated to our account and it can be hard to get things done with a new rep every few months, aside from that I really enjoy the platform and support.

Last year, we switched email over to Attentive and the implementation process was quick, and easy!
