One of the best code editor for competative programming with any language with multiple windows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much but there should be more themes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is open-source, free to use, and has many good plugins and extensions. Also, it has excellent developers' support and an active community to learn and work with. It has a collaboration feature to work with teammates and is easy to understand and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to use only after one understands and learns how to use it, it has not had sufficient features, and its support is good, but updates to the software are not regular. Otherwise a good editor for anyone who uses it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Atom was easy to use and beginner friendly. One for the better text editors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Did not have many features as compared to other editors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Atom has been useful for me in the past years for multiple reasons, its fast, easy to customize and you can open big projects without a hassle.
I work a lot with databases myself and get send a lot of CSV files, its not uncommon for me to have to edit those, which can also be quickly done trough Atom.
We also use it for our regular code of course, it was so lovely to find you can edit your syntax with different colors and themes. In the years of use we also added a lot of plugins that significantly improved our use of Atom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly i myself dont dislike anything about Atom. The only thing for me was the start of using Atom, it was a bit complicated at first because you have so many options you can trigger to make it your own.
No complaints! :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love Atom because it's easy to use, making coding smoother for me. Also, it supports many programming languages, which is super handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, i feel a bit slow when handling really large files or projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its best in collaboration with other developers and an effective although efficient solution to work. Atom is cutomizable which is quite well to suite the requirements of the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It lacks some features which developers might look as in for Visual Studio. Some times managing plugins can be hard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Atom's simple User interface, it is very clean and elegant with syntax highlighting and line numbers it's just better than a normal notepad or any nano editor in Unix-based systems. It's highly extensible and cross-platform as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing I would say, it's clean simple and powerful, however, I do feel that if it has a feature of an in-built debugger it would be like a cherry on the top. It's the perfect text editor already. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Liked the cutomization part of it with add-ons required for a particular use. While coding, the variety of extensions make it really handful- like Linter, File Icons etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its performance, which is kinda sluggish, while opening & working with large codebases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Atom was my to-go rich text editor in the past. I used it a lot in parallel of my IDE when working on big projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that there's no more development on Atom is a show stopper. I now use another editor because of that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Atom is an excellent Text edit for programmers. It provides many cool features for software developers to make their work easy. It has incredible plugins and a user interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Atom is a great text editor, but sadly, it will shut down soon. As per their owner, the official date for "Sunset" (Archive) is 15th December 2022. That's sad and dislike that thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
