What do you like best about Atmel Studio?

I am using Atmel Studio 7.0 for my projects. I liked Atmel Studio over the CodeVision. Atmel Studio 7.0 has a modern IDE interface, one can import the Arduino Sketches, easy to configure microcontroller. The code compilation process is quite fast. It has a debug and Visual assist options too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Atmel Studio?

"Chip Programmer" option doesn't pop up after code compilation, just like CodeVision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Atmel Studio:

Under the Project> Project properties, it looks like some graphics error. One line is cutting out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Atmel Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?

Most of the time I work with the Atmel microcontroller, I was using Codevision but I switched it to Atmel Studio as it's advance, as mentioned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Atmel Studio?

new effects of the application are great than the older versions. The best thing is all the atmel chips including the arduino atmega-328p can be programmed with more advanced features. JTAG and AVR supported and line by line debugging can be done Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Atmel Studio?

If support for more microcontrollers added it will be great. because during the field we tend to work with different types of micro controllers such as ST32, TI and others. The next thing is on average devices it still consumes lot of resources. this makes slower the device when using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Atmel Studio:

The atmel studio is the only option if you want to program atmel chips implementing more features. but new update have new features than the older versions. Visual studio in collaboration with atmel studio has implemented new features and this makes the Atmel studio more programmer friendly. The line level program debugging is a great feature provided by them but it needs a JTAG device. The support service is great and tutorials can be found easily. To work with different peripherals libraries can be found easily.
