**Reviewed by:** Vishal S. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom makes it incredibly easy to record, share, and manage screen recordings, whether it’s product demos, customer onboarding, internal updates, or bug explanations. The Chrome extension and desktop app both work seamlessly. One-click sharing with instant cloud upload is a massive time-saver. The viewer engagement analytics and comments make it interactive too.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Sometimes the desktop app is slightly laggy when switching between screen and webcam. Also, the free plan has a cap on recording length and team collaboration features which may not be ideal for growing teams. A few more editing tools like blurring sections or adding overlays would be helpful.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom has become essential for async communication across remote teams. Instead of writing long Slack messages or documentation, I can just record a 2-minute video to explain a feature or a bug. This has improved clarity and reduced meeting overhead significantly.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronnie G. | Chief Marketing Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I find Loom incredibly easy and quick to set up, which is convenient for seamless video creation and messaging. Its video messaging capability is very handy, allowing me to share insights and ideas easily without lengthy texts. The tool saves me and my clients a lot of time by simplifying outreach and replacing long meetings with concise videos.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

Loom currently lacks features such as Slack-style messaging or the ability to have a platform where multiple viewers can watch a video at the same time without needing a direct link. This would be particularly useful for scenarios where I want to reach out to a large number of customers simultaneously, allowing them to see the same video in real-time and understand issues together.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Loom enhances client outreach by simplifying video messaging, replacing lengthy emails and calls with quick, personal videos. It also saves time by reducing meetings from hours to minutes.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I like Loom for its simplicity and speed in recording and sharing videos. It’s perfect for quick tutorials, walkthroughs, or async communication. The ability to record screen, voice, and camera together makes it incredibly useful for remote collaboration and feedback.

What I dislike about Loom is that video editing options are limited in the free version. Sometimes the recording quality drops on slower networks, and longer videos can take time to process. Also, storage limitations can be restrictive without upgrading.

The paid plans are not worth the cost, especially after the acquisition. The user interface has been completely revamped and is now a bit more complicated than the previous version.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom provides the easiest way possible to record and share the screen recordings. I can easily implement and almost instantly share what I am trying to say to my colleagues, QA team, managers and clients. Also, it integrates easily with gmail and slack which I use daily. The video quality is also good. Loom also provides basic editing feature which is useful. I personally like the blur feature while recording. Overall, it is a tool for daily use.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

One of the major thing I dislike about Loom is the limitation on recording time. I have noticed that sometimes there are delays while creating link after the recording is complete. I have used the customer support and they are helpful when they respond. But sometimes the replies are too slow.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom helps in easier and faster communications for feedbacks and ideas. It saves my time as I don't have to type what I want to say to the stakeholders. It saves efforts required in explaination and back and forth communications. As the communications are very efficient, it helps make decision making faster.

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loves that it opens up my calendar and reduces unnecessary meetings that can be handled async. Also find the AI summary features extremely helpful. I appreciate the monthly usage recap emails Loom sends. Its always interesting to see how many minutes I've helped reduced across all stakeholder comms and how many minutes I've reduced myself by watching others' looms

Editing the loom once recorded can sometimes be difficult (eg trimming out parts of the video, correcting typos in the subtitles, etc)

I am very impressed and use it a lot at out workplace. Easy implementation, Easy integration, just register, login and voila! you are ready to use it right away.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I think there should be more features for customising the videos after recording, also to have webcam backgrounds and camera window shapes.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use loom for making demo videos for new customers, training for new hires and tutorials as well. The webcam option while making these recordings just gives that extra person touch to the recordings.

  ### 14. One of Best Tools for Collaboration!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

There's so many option to record a video of myself and my screen, via browser plugin, standalone app, and more. And all you have to do is to click. It's so easy to share to your clients and team!

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

I've been using Loom since it's early stage, I was one of those who enjoyed recording a lot of videos for free and with no time limits before until there was plans to choose from. It's okay, I'd love to support the Loom team but I hope there is a cheaper plans for individual contractors.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am an introvert, with Loom, it allows me to prepare and communicate properly with my clients without having the fear of stuttering. I am able to explain things clearly. I am also able to create SOPs and walkthrough videos.

  ### 15. Using Loom

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlotte M. | Head of Specialist Projects , Insurance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Being able to record videos (either with yourself in the frame, or not!) and having the flexibility to share these in numerous different formats. My personal preference is via the sharing of a specific link as this bypasses file size limitations that can be blockers for sharing of video files.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The limited free account functionalities are not ideal, however, there are incentives to earn additional extras for free.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Predominant function of Loom used is for the preparation of video-based, end user documentation and release note communications. The effortless nature of Loom means these recordings can be quickly prepared, edited and shared to keep up with a 3-weekly release cycle.

  ### 16. Loom Works Great for Visual Instructions for 3rd Parties

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda S. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

I used Loom at a digital marketing agency to create videos mostly for internal use and client instructions. I loved that I could easily record my screen and walk people through step-by-step instructions to ensure that I was able to explain things clearly and correctly. So often, words/instructions get lost in translation over an email and even a phone call, so being able to show a team member or a client exactly what I was looking at made it much easier to get work done. With clients, you don't always have the time to jump on a screen share to show them how to do something or navigate, so for the client, it worked out great to get something to refer back to. There was no integration necessary, as you just made an account and signed in, and starting implementing the videos into the work you were doing. I did not ever have to reach out to customer support, because I never ran into any issues. Once I started using Loom regularly, I created videos weekly for team members and clients to keep in their back pockets. This tool is so simple but as a lot of people are visual learners, it is SO helpful to have instructions that people can watch, not just read or listen to.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

There were not any downsides of using Loom.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom made it easy to send videos of instructions to clients so that they could keep them and refer back to them. Before using Loom, I had clients emailing, texting, or calling saying, "I remember we went through this, but can you show me how to (insert something tedious here) again". Before Loom, I had to drop what I was doing to make sure that everyone was on the same page. After using Loom, team members and clients can easily refer back to Loom links, because they do not expire!

  ### 17. Simplifying Multi-Step Communication with Loom

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janet V. | Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

Loom has been a game changer when it comes to answering multi-step questions quickly and clearly. Instead of writing long, detailed explanations that can easily be misunderstood, I can now record a short video walking through the steps, showing my screen, and explaining my thought process in real time.

The ease of implementation was seamless. I was up and running within minutes. Loom’s intuitive interface requires virtually no learning curve, making it easy to adopt into daily workflows. And the ease of integration with tools like Slack, Gmail, and project management platforms makes sharing videos with team members or clients effortless.

This has drastically reduced the back-and-forth typically needed to clarify complex instructions or workflows. It’s especially helpful when dealing with layered processes, training overviews, or answering multiple related questions at once.

Overall, Loom helps turn what used to be time-consuming written explanations into clear, personal, and efficient video responses. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to increase clarity, save time, and communicate more effectively, especially in fast-paced, communication-heavy roles.

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The only real downside I’ve noticed is that organizing videos can become a bit clunky over time, especially if you record frequently. While folders and tags help, I’d love to see more advanced sorting or search features to manage a growing library of content more efficiently.

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom solves the problem of inefficient communication, especially when it comes to explaining multi-step processes, giving feedback, or providing detailed instructions. Instead of writing long emails or setting up multiple meetings to walk someone through a task, I can record a quick video that shows exactly what I’m doing while explaining it in real time.

This saves me a significant amount of time and ensures the message is clear and personalized. It also reduces back-and-forth and misunderstandings, especially when working with remote teams or onboarding new hires. Being able to visually demonstrate something once and reuse the video when needed has added a level of efficiency I didn’t have before.

Overall, Loom helps me communicate more clearly, save time, and maintain a human connection—even when I’m not face to face with the person I’m helping.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harriet J. | Founder - Renew Consultancy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Loom?**

We've been using Loom extensively across our business for both internal and external communication, and it’s completely transformed the way we work. Instead of long emails or back-and-forth meetings, we can now quickly record clear, engaging videos to explain processes, share updates, or provide feedback.

The ease of use is fantastic — you can start recording in seconds, and the interface is intuitive even for non-technical team members. The ability to share a link instantly makes it so easy to keep everyone aligned and speed up decision-making.

It’s also been invaluable in building stronger relationships with clients and candidates. Being able to put a face to the name and explain things visually adds a more human touch that text simply can’t achieve.

If I had to mention one area for improvement, I’d love to see even more advanced analytics on viewer engagement or perhaps deeper integrations with some CRMs.

Overall, Loom has saved us countless hours and genuinely improved transparency and connection within our team and with our wider network. Highly recommend it to any business that values clear and personal communication!

**What do you dislike about Loom?**

The free version is quite limited in terms of storage and advanced features, so most teams will need to upgrade fairly quickly.
Would be nice to have even deeper integrations with more tools (e.g., certain CRMs, or advanced analytics platforms).

**What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loom is solving the problem of long, unclear written communication and the need for endless meetings. Instead of typing out lengthy emails or scheduling calls to explain simple updates, I can record a quick video that feels more human and personal.

This saves me (and my team) hours every week, speeds up decision-making, and helps us build stronger relationships internally and externally. It also allows us to explain complex ideas visually, which improves understanding and reduces back-and-forth questions.

Overall, Loom makes our communication faster, clearer, and much more engaging — a huge benefit in a busy work environment.
