the search function - where it is placed and how relevant the search results are have helped me onboard to my new (data) organization faster than had I not had access to such a helpful catalogue.
Lineage diagrams clearly mark where data is coming from.
Though I've not used it much, I like that it's easy to directly edit the descriptions of fields. I think that's why the data I have access to is so well-documented (it is easy to update). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I frequently flip back and forth between (1) atlan, and (2) the github repository containing our dbt models. I know that atlan is integrated so it's possible to see within the app how exactly (raw SQL) a model is built but I feel like this feature could be fleshed out more so that I'm not tempted to flip back and forth.
