In my case, I mainly use AstroPay to receive my salary, and what I find useful is being able to actually see when the money hits without having to wait on a bank notification. I usually check the app directly to confirm the payment and review the exact amount, which helps avoid confusion.
I also use the CLABE transfer option regularly to move money to my local bank account. It’s not the most flexible system, but once you have your details set up, it’s straightforward to send funds out. The biggest issue for me is that transfers can take longer than expected. There have been times where I’m waiting on my salary and it just doesn’t arrive as quickly as I would expect, which makes it hard to rely on timing.
Another thing is the digital card. I’ve had situations in physical stores where the payment doesn’t go through on the first try, so I have to attempt it again, which is uncomfortable when you’re at the checkout.
Also, when doing local transfers, some bank names don’t always show correctly, which makes you double-check everything before sending money. On top of that, only being able to use CLABE for transfers feels limiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
