What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Astronomer makes it so I don't have to care about infrastructure for Airflow. We recently onboarded a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - and he hasn't had to touch Airflow at all. Scaling up is a simple UI button - and my team can focus on the core business logic, rather than undifferentiated heavy lifting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

Not much - the core logic is great - support is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Astro by Astronomer:

Astronomer is truly a partner to you - not just another client. Lots of information for onboarding, documentation, DAG best practices. Truly worth the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Astro by Astronomer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Batch jobs overnight to handle financial data processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

- The ease of managing the Airflow instance via the Astronomer UI (scaling up the instance, seeing health metrics, etc)

- Support is super responsive and helpful!

- Very reasonable and easy to understand usage-based pricing model Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

This is a pretty low-level complaint, but it would be nice if the community was a bit more active to share learnings across different companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Astro by Astronomer solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a single-person data engineering team, Astronomer is a crucial part of our tech stack. Using Astronomer I can set up bespoke pipelines to ingest and upsert data as needed, without needing any sort of DevOps or in-depth security training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Astronomer has greatly simplified the process of setting up and managing our Airflow environments, and the help we've received from support has been top notch. Especially helpful in the setup process! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

Greater transparency around the hosted version might have persuaded us to that instead of running it on our own EKS cluster, although there's arguably long-term gains to be made in doing so anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Astro by Astronomer solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're using it to orchestrate data loads into a Snowflake instance, and are looking at it for ML workload orchestration too. Our data pipelines are much easier to build and maintain now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
