aspenONE is a process simulator package that consists of Aspen plus ( for process and chemical industry) and Aspen HYSYS ( for oil and gas industry), flarenet( for flare analyse), batch process model, GC model, distillation model, heat exchanger model and many more we can do by use of this software. With this software we can do a very complex process simulation like multicomponent separation, distillation, integration, chemical reacted component, and also for minerals and batch and solid simulation. The only thing that I do not like about this software is that it requires large memory and take some time to load simulation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Aspen HYSYS software for process engineering simulations in the refinery business. I love that the software integrates various aspects of engineering to provide an integrated and user friendly output that can be communicated throughout the organization.
I have also used the Aspen Economic Evaluation software for estimating capital investment projects and have consistently gotten an effective and reliable product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I do not like about the AspenOne suite of software is that it encompasses so many programs that it can sometimes get confusing to navigate through. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the variety of training modules available for the software along with its library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The applications are sometimes laggy and time consuming and generally freeze while simulation is working, while most of the times it is pretty good to run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has model for several unit operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The custom modeling environment is poor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AspenONE Engineering is an ally for all process engineers. With it, you perform industrial process simulations, and the data obtained from the simulation are the first steps to implement the parameters and equipment in the processing plant. With this simulator, you can optimize processes and model new plant designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is excellent software, although sometimes the material balance calculations can be somewhat imprecise, but it is very minimal. I can say it is even negligible; compared to real data, it amounts to a 0.5 variation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Aspen has a remarkable database on thermodynamic properties and many models for process units Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Aspen seems to be focused more on oil based processes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like the interface for Plus and HYSYS. But you have to know basic chemical engineering knowledge to use it especially for Energy Analyzer. Tutorials from LearnChemE on Youtube would be helpful for a rookie to get familiarized with these softwares. HYSYS is useful and very detail for oil and gas sector while Plus can be used for simple chemical or biological process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A minor thing like convergence of the process; needs more elaborations of errors. Requires a slightly high end computer specs to run it smoothly since it's a sophisticated software. License issues can be a problem too, whenever every user in the company is using it, hope it can be resolved by simple update so that administrators can take actions. Very intuitive workflows and with a good decission support tool. Complete simulation of the system and process optimization. You can improve the whole system. Very good interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's expensive but not as expensive as you can sabe improving the system. You need a powerfull machine to run some optimization parts. Sometimes, licenses are a headhache. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AspenONE Engineering is a comprehensive process simulation package, which consists of Hysys, AspenPlus, Flarenet, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The PSV feature could be improved further. There are some known glitches of the new PSV sizing tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
