## About ARMO Platform
ARMO Platform is the only runtime-driven, open-source first, cloud security platform. It is the only security platform that continuously minimizes cloud attack surface based on runtime insights, while actively detecting and responding to cyberattacks with real risk context. Using an eBPF-based runtime sensor to record application behavior and related activities, ARMO Platform enables DevOps, security, and platform teams to eliminate the security noise and go from thousands of irrelevant alerts to focus on the most important and exploitable threats. This allows those teams to shift from managing hypothetical security issues to mitigating actual risks and providing them with the means to remediate them. ARMO is an open-source-driven company and the creator of Kubescape, a leading open-source Kubernetes security project, now an official CNCF project. ## ARMO Platform Reviews
  ### 1. Game-Changer for Application Cluster Security & Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay N. | CEO/Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2025

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

ARMO Platform has truly transformed the security posture of our Kubernetes application clusters. As a cybersecurity professional integrating new solutions for mission-critical environments, I’ve found ARMO’s detection and remediation capabilities for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations far superior to traditional tools. Its real-time compliance monitoring, user-friendly dashboards, and broad compatibility with existing CI/CD pipelines let us quickly identify issues and automate fixes—saving hours on manual security checks. The visualization of risk posture, along with actionable recommendations, is invaluable for both technical teams and executive reporting.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

Like any robust security solution, ARMO Platform’s breadth of features means there’s an initial learning curve—especially for less-experienced Kubernetes users. Some advanced features require additional configuration to get the most value, and deeper integration with third-party ticketing or SIEM systems would further streamline incident response.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you’re serious about Kubernetes security, ARMO should be on your short list. The platform gives peace of mind by proactively hardening clusters and providing continuous, actionable insights.

  ### 2. Streamlined Kubernetes Security with Actionable Remediations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhineet S. | DevSecOps Engineer II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

I recently integrated ArmoSec with one of our staging Kubernetes clusters using their SaaS-based portal. The onboarding was very smooth — I was able to connect the cluster and start getting real-time security insights within 20–30 minutes. What stood out the most was the RBAC misconfiguration detection, which gave us a clear view of over-permissioned service accounts.

The attack path visualization helped us understand potential lateral movement risks. The UI is intuitive, and their remediation suggestions are practical — they don’t just show you what’s wrong, but guide you to fix it step-by-step. For someone working in DevSecOps, this is a really handy dashboard.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

One area that could be improved is the alerting system — I’d love to see more customizable alerts or Slack integration to monitor specific risk thresholds. Also, the scan reports are comprehensive but export options (PDF, CSV) felt a bit limited during our testing phase. It’s not a blocker, but something that could enhance usability.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest benefits is that it provides clear remediation steps, which saves time and helps even developers with limited security experience understand how to fix issues. The visual representation of attack paths and role bindings also improves team collaboration when assessing cluster risks. Overall, ARMO helps us shift security left without adding too much overhead.

**Official Response from Jonathan Kaftzan:**

> Hey Abhineet, thanks a lot for your kind words and your support for ARMO. It's always very nice to read customers and user reviews.
Regarding the slack integration - we actully have it availble for a long time in the ARMO platform.
I wonder why it wasn't availble for you but I'd love to work with you and check what happended

  ### 3. Security made easy through Kubescape

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjul S. | Founder and CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

CADR is an innovative approach that felt like a missing piece in the traditional security

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

Even though the platform does complete cloud security, it is not properly reflected in the docs.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ARMO / Kubescape whenever I onboard any client in my consulting work to quickly get an idea about their security posture. Also, a lot of them want to align with Industry best practices, where it really shines.
Another useful feature is identifying the evolving vulnerabilities affecting Kubernetes and these dynamic checks are quite useful to prevent emerging attacks.

  ### 4. Best tool for Kubernetes security

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Atanu D. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2025

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

I recently started using ARMO, ( which uses Kubescape), it is very simple to get started and covers various compliance needs, besides I like the attack paths, CVE etc. Compared to other products in the market, it is priced reasonably and works very well with any cloud provider.

You need ARMO if you have set Kubernetes cluster on the cloud, to verify the configurations, remove various security issues, and identify various compliance violations. Once these are fixed, it is easy for SOC2 or other compliance.
ARMO also has a remediation option against each issue, which is kind of nice, and helps to pinpoint what additional controls to add to the YAML files.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

Overall I like the platform, A few areas that can be improved are, applying a fixed configuration directly from the platform, rather than downloading the yaml and applying it yourself.
Besides, there are cases where the docker image you have used has transient dependencies that have open CVEs, but often upgrading to a newer version may not be the correct solution and can cause incompatibility. I feel, if ARMO provides an option to take chainguard or similar images, that would be better, without changing the version.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly ARMO has helped me identify the open issues in the configuration, docker images, and overall configuration issues within few minutes. It has also provided me ways to fix the issue.

  ### 5. Very good tool to secure your kubernetes cluster

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan P. | DevOps Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2025

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

Armo is perfect for reading kubescape reports.
The two tools integrate very well, and the armo dashboard allows you to push the use and understanding of kubescape dashboard to the limit.

I also really like the ease with which the various scans (registry, repository, cluster) can be integrated.

The interface is very pretty and easy to understand. All useful information is displayed on the screen, and fixes for the various vulnerabilities are easy to copy and apply, which saves an enormous amount of time.

The various sorting functions are very practical.

I also like the fact that it's easy to accept the risks.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

I don't like the idea of paying per node. In my case, I have a lot of small nodes with very different uses and resources. It's ideal for me to separate the different services of my project, but from a financial point of view (according to the vision of paying per node) it's very bad. However, I think it's good practice to have more nodes than one giant one.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Armo makes it possible to read kubescape in a very pleasant and collaborative way.

  ### 6. Improving security management across teams is now a breeze

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas F. | Risk management analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

I am impressed with ARMO Platform’s ability to simplify security operations. My team can spend time on more important matters and an automates many of the repetitive tasks that would have eaten up a lot of our time. We have less time spent troubleshooting since the interface is so clear and brings up security challenges so directly. It does not require constant oversight, and it keeps everything in check, which really helps in maintaining a smooth workflow.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

A weakness of ARMO Platform is that there is not enough information provided for the user. As much as the platform is easy to use once one masters it, there are instances when setting up the platform or making modifications, there is a shortage of comprehensive guides. More detailed guidelines or a better orientation would help to avoid the moments when one has to think about how to do it at all.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ARMO Platform has been very helpful in avoiding security breaches that may result in more severe problems in the future. It means that many tasks are automated, and we do not have to worry about security even when the situation gets out of hand. This helps to avoid spending time on manual work and focus on the more important tasks instead. The automation has helped in reducing the time and energy that would have been used in handling the security issues and security has become more preventive than corrective.

  ### 7. ARMO brought our team closer and made client interactions feel more personal

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim R. | Operations Analyst, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

I enjoy that ARMO Platform helps us manage our projects more efficiently. The dashboard creates a visible summary of project status so personnel will not need to search through many messages or emails. The reporting tool saves us three hours per week because it creates detailed reports instantly with basic commands. The easy method for assigning work and monitoring progress helps us a lot.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

ARMO Platform suffers technical problems most often during file uploads of big sizes. The project work stops without warning during your work. ARMO stops working properly at times during file uploads. The system fails to show recent updates sometimes which creates unclear situations for users. A team member may think a task is finished but the system has not yet refreshed the update so team members get confused.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wasted many hours looking for approval responses through email before using ARMO Platform. Now, it’s instant. Through the platform we can delegate work and monitor its development from a single platform. The platform has decreased our email overload while making us more responsive. The system helped us solve two major difficulties including deadline monitoring. Our team used to drop some tasks but ARMO Platform sends us alerts which prevents us from forgetting anything. The system has simplified our work routines and made us operate faster.

  ### 8. The ARMO Platform has saved us time and cloud costs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike D. | VP, Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2024

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

The ARMO Platform has cut our cloud costs for our Intrusion Detection Service (one of our most costly products) by 80%.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

ARMO is coming out with many new features. They seem helpful after a demo, but it isn't always clear how we can use them for actionable insights.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ARMO is primarily solving the Intrusion Detection problem. We need to know if an attacker has successfully penetrated one of services. While that was the primary factor that led us to purchase the ARMO Platform, we've since found additional features that have added significant value. Specifically, when a vulnerability is detected in our tech stack we can see in which container the vulnerability was found, but don't have the critical data we need to prioritize the remediation. ARMO can tell us if the vulnerability is actually present in our code running in production or merely present in the process used to build the container. It can also give us critical information like exploitability that we can use to determine the priority and critical nature of the issue.

  ### 9. Our projects have never run so smoothly, thanks to ARMO Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ala M. | Cloud Security Architect, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

The automation features of ARMO Platform stand out as remarkable capabilities. The Platform performs its tasks by reducing hand labor which frees up at least one day of work during each week. The main benefit of the ARMO Platform lies in its capability to integrate with our existing tools. Automation capabilities founded in the ARMO Platform represent an outstanding feature through its capability to gather data from different sources then present it in one unified dashboard. This single feature allows our team to save three hours of reporting work each week.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

Users need to spend time adapting to the robust features of the ARMO Platform due to its complex interface structure. I regularly search for specific settings or configurations within the ARMO Platform. A few integration issues between ARMO Platform and our current tools created minor system disruptions.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through ARMO Platform we have resolved our fundamental issue for managing security across our diverse multi-cloud environment. Security policies and visibility gaps proved to be constant issues that our organization dealt with before implementing ARMO Platform. Through ARMO we can finally observe our entire security environment from a single perspective. The platform improved our security but at the same time streamlined our compliance procedures. The network monitoring function provides round-the-clock security protection which functions similarly to having a private guard service for our network infrastructure.

  ### 22. Fast, on-point, actionable security advice for everything in your k8s clusters

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian P. | Barista - Caterer - Entrepreneur, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2023

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

ARMO does a great job fetching all known vulns in your k8s clusters and its workloads but then goes on to filter out all the non-relevant ones. Then, it makes those actionable thru Jira or Slack and it gives you all the context information for that particular vuln so as a DevSecOps engineer you can go right to work on its mitigation!

It's VERY easy to setup and implement, just a helm chart and you're good.

Integration with Slack, SSO and your code and container repositories is a snap and doing so will get the vulns a world of context for your specific situation.

Scans can be scheduled and run ad-hoc and this guarantees frequent use and fregular occurances for when things change.

Support through Slack has been very responsive so far and their engineers have always been able to resolve issues within a few hours or days at worst.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

It's not yet always obvious where a vuln is coming from, i.e. what's the final actor that introduced it to make it releveant.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While SAST and checkov/kubelint go a long way towards securing your k8s design, you don't always know what affect workloads will have in your k8s clusters and what containers bring that may weaken your posture and attack surface.

While we can do our best to secure and "shift left" as much as possible in the SDLC, ultimately you also need eyes on the runtime state in k8s. That's what ARMO kubescape provides. You can use a multitude of OSS tools (checkov, trivy, harbor, dependency track) but you'll have to create your own dashboards and reporting for them. ARMO does that with ease and speed, but... it also adds relevancy to the vulns found so do not have to filter through 1500+ false alarms or irrelevant vuln because the faulty component is not in your runtime.

ARMO results in concise, to-the-point, actionable vulns with as much contet information that it can provide to enable an engineer to resolve the issue as efficiently as possible.

Additionally, the Attack Path feature shows non-tech people or developers exactly why they need to monitor and update their components so the outdated dependencies they introduce do not lead to exploitable weaknesses at runtime in your k8s clusters.

  ### 23. Best security compliance solution

  ### 24. A Game-Changer in Kubernetes Security

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2023

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

AMRO's "CVE Relevancy" feature is a standout, allowing us to focus on the vulnerabilities that truly matter. In a world where security threats are ever-evolving, the eBPF-based prioritization ensures we're always a step ahead. The continuous scanning of images and container registries is another highlight. It's like having a vigilant security guard that never sleeps, ensuring our Kubernetes deployments remain uncompromised. The speed at which AMRO identifies and assesses new vulnerabilities is commendable, giving us peace of mind that our security posture is always at its best.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

Very new user but on intial thought me I feel the user interface could be a tad more intuitive especially the RBAC visualiser.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AMRO has been instrumental in bolstering our Kubernetes compliance efforts. We've been able to ensure that our Kubernetes manifests are consistently up to par, devoid of any missing security configurations. In an environment where security lapses can have significant repercussions, AMRO provides us with the confidence that our K8s deployments are both compliant and secure, mitigating potential risks and safeguarding our operations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash U. | DevOps Engineer-I, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ARMO Platform?**

Armo's Kubescape provides information about misconfigurations and vulnerabilities in a Kubernetes cluster through the CLI or the UI. With over 80 controls, kubescape scans all possible best practices and vulnerabilities along with providing a detailed description of what the control is and how it can be fixed. The image scanning feature in the SaaS product is an excellent addition to improving the security posture of the cluster. The RBAC visualiser allows us to look at the RBAC set-up in the cluster and identify if there are any privileged roles/users. The filtering/scanning capabilities in the UI are excellent allowing a great deal of customizability.

**What do you dislike about ARMO Platform?**

The lack of notification integrations for notifying new vulnerabilities in the cluster limits us to one notification channel and does not allow us to use a notification channel of our choice. Certain features are dependent on the SaaS product by Armo such as custom frameworks, controls, and image scanning and cannot be used in CICD. The lack of ability to customise controls per cluster is not helpful.

**What problems is ARMO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Armo's Kubescape to scan our Kubernetes cluster manifests and helm charts before the manifests are applied to a cluster using Kubescape's Github actions. Kubescape is also installed in the cluster which scans the cluster periodically for vulnerabilities/misconfigurations and alerts us regarding the same. We are able to catch misconfigurations and implement best practices before the application workload reaches production through Armo's Kubescape.
