With such a small cybersecurity staff, the AW response team allows for 24/7 monitoring of our network. The concierges assigned to our organization meet monthly to ensure that AW provides the best services possible. Our customer success manager is never pushy and tries to sell us products but instead informs us of new and upgrade solutions within AW and fully accepts whatever decision we make. **What do you dislike about Arctic Wolf?** Automated vulnerability scanning with Arctic Wolf is excellent, but I prefer more control. There is some control, such as rescanning a device, but it is hard to relinquish control after using Tenable. **What problems is Arctic Wolf solving and how is that benefiting you?** Arctic Wolf relieves some of the pressure of not having enough employees. We had to budget for the Arctic Wolf services and continue to find more value per dollar spent than we could expect to receive from hiring staff. Maybe if there was a way for AW's monitoring to take into account what our own LR system is monitoring, that could help reduce the duplication. **Recommendations to others considering Arctic Wolf:** We had a weekly touchbase with Arctic Wolf technicians for the first couple of months after implementation, then we cut that down to a monthly cadence, and now we are on a quarterly cadence. With all of their tools inplace i truly get a full picture of what is going on in my organization. The MSA tool is excellent for educating my end users on real-life threats in the Cyber environment. I see who my problem people are within my buildings. The external and internal scans from Arctic Wolf give me insight into my weakest points. Arctic Wolf doesn't just tell you what is wrong but will also give remediations. It's tools you get and constant meetings with my concierge team to review the data they ingested and what steps I need to take to fix issues. There is a true passion within this company to help us IT professionals to be as safe as possible. I'm grateful to have found them and have them in my corner. **What do you dislike about Arctic Wolf?** MSA tool, I wish, allowed me to add and remove users. If you are out of the stone age and have your AD in the cloud then you are fine. Unfortunately onsite AD requires me to email a spreadsheet to support. The good thing is this doesn't take long and is easy to do. You have to request the information from Arctic Wolf and then it comes in a CSV with minimal identifying information outside of an IP address. It would be helpful to be able to see the feeds, their status, and add some descriptions to them from the dashboard. **What problems is Arctic Wolf solving and how is that benefiting you?** They solving the issue of having minimal staff at our organization with minimal cyber security training. It also helps us with logs without needing to setup and maintain complicated infrastructure. ### 18. AWN's MDR and MR services have helped us identify weaknesses in our security framework, and we can more confidently ensure business operations knowing AWN is monitoring our transaction logs. Building both the MDR and MR capabilities internally would cost 10x+ what we pay today! **What do you dislike about Arctic Wolf?** Integration with the AWN Security & Operation Center (SOC) does take more focused effort and resource time than we first thought; part of that was my IT organization not asking all the right questions upfront. For example, we assumed the AWN SOC was monitoring our Cisco / Meraki transaction logs; AWN quickly remedied the situation and have plans to integrate them into their SOC framework. **What problems is Arctic Wolf solving and how is that benefiting you?** AWN SOC monitors a plethora of transaction logs and triages the events down to actionable/addressable work, which is something my team does not have the capacity (time & labor & skill) to do effectively. I think in certain situations, it can be a great fit. However when compared to other options out there it doesn't measure up. **What do you dislike about Arctic Wolf?** We received little value from ArcticWolf. The product offered little visibility when we were using it (they claim to offer more now, but I haven't personally seen the new additions). Anything you want to look at or changes you need to make in the product must go through their engineering team. As an MSP, this is a horrible way to do business for us. On top of that, the sales and account management team is very pushy, even to the point of going around us (their "partner") directly to our clients because we weren't "moving fast enough" for them. I'm sure their impending IPO has a ton to do with that. **What problems is Arctic Wolf solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were using it to solve the issue of complex cybersecurity for SMB/Es that are our clients. They really work with you to get the product fully up and running, which can be a big hurdle to get over. The CST concept works pretty well and keeps regular review of identified issues front of mind. **What do you dislike about Arctic Wolf?** The reporting tools, especially managed risk, leaves a fair bit to be desired. The UI is pretty rough and can be hard to fully understand what we need to do to resolve the identified problem. AW says they know about the issue of their UI and are working on a new version, but before having that I would give a pretty low grade on managed risk specifically. A lot of our time is wasted trying to deal with what often appears to be just a UI issue. The detection of risks and ranking of them has been pretty good though, despite the UI issues. **What problems is Arctic Wolf solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automated security training, automated risk detection and remediation, and automating threat detection and action.
