What do you like best about ArcGIS Pro?

ArcGIS has a modern and familiar interface which is quiet beginner friendly. ArcGIS pro has more tools compared to ArcMap for geospatial analysis and 3D visualization. More emphasis has been given toward the 3D visualization compared to ArcMap. ArcGIS has a easier way to create multiple layouts and save those for easy export. Easier to work with LiDAR data because of the tools and visualize capabilities. ArcGIS pro has advanced features to organize all the map Maps, Layouts and Scenes. What do you dislike about ArcGIS Pro?

ArcGIS has still certain things needs to be refined. There are certain bugs such as when I am trying to save a map it usually stuck on the default directory even though previously saved in different location. These bugs surely will be addressed by the future updates. Other thing is since I am well verse with the ArcMap I was quiet used to having each tool in same location which is usually a mussel memory. But due to the dynamic ribbon interface of ArcGIS, it is little bit frustrating until you get used to the dynamic nature of the ribbons and tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ArcGIS Pro?

As an ArcGIS Pro user, I have been consistently impressed by the software's data visualization and analysis capabilities. With a vast array of tools and features, ArcGIS Pro has allowed me to effortlessly create, edit, and analyze complex geospatial data, transforming how I approach my work.

The user-friendly interface and seamless integration with other Esri products make importing, visualizing, and processing various data formats easy. The 2D and 3D visualization options have proven invaluable in my projects, allowing me to create professional and visually striking maps that effectively communicate the insights derived from my data analysis.

ArcGIS Pro's advanced geoprocessing tools have also empowered me to perform in-depth spatial analysis, such as calculating distances, finding patterns, and identifying relationships between different datasets. This has enabled me to make informed decisions and derive meaningful conclusions from my geospatial data.

Overall, my experience with ArcGIS Pro has been nothing short of remarkable. The software's ease of use, powerful data visualization capabilities, and comprehensive analytical tools have truly revolutionized the way I handle geospatial data and have made my work more efficient and impactful. What do you dislike about ArcGIS Pro?

Long learning curve

I understand that learning any new software can be daunting, especially for complex GIS applications like ArcGIS Pro. However, I'd like to address your concerns and provide some insights into my learning experience.

Initially, I, too, was concerned about the time it would take to learn ArcGIS Pro. Still, I found that the software's user-friendly interface, well-organized layout, and intuitive design made it easier for me to get started. The ribbon-based interface, similar to other popular software like Microsoft Office, provided a familiar environment that helped me quickly locate the necessary tools and functions.

Esri also offers a wealth of resources for new users, including tutorials, webinars, and online courses, which I found incredibly useful in speeding up my learning process. The ArcGIS community is also active and supportive, with forums, blogs, and user groups where you can ask questions and get guidance from experienced professionals.

While it's true that mastering all aspects of ArcGIS Pro may take some time, depending on your background and previous experience with GIS, the essential features can be grasped relatively quickly. By focusing on specific tasks and gradually expanding your knowledge, you'll be able to become proficient in using the software more efficiently.

In conclusion, while there is a learning curve to ArcGIS Pro, I believe the time invested in learning the software is well worth it, considering the powerful capabilities it offers in terms of data visualization, analysis, and overall GIS workflow improvement. What do you like best about ArcGIS Pro?

ArcPro is an improvement from ArcGIS Desktop and all-around excellent GIS software. Plenty of ready-to-use tools for geospatial analysis. Perfect modern look and feel and is just as powerful if not more than the desktop. Its cartographic abilities are lovely for creating good visual representations of data. Its integration with ArcGIS online is very well done and critical for our workflow. We use it for georeferencing historical maps, managing project databases, and creating figures for reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ArcGIS Pro?

If you are coming from a Desktop environment, some are getting used to it and have a learning curve. As expected, it's a rather expensive program, and some tools available in the standard license that were in Desktop are not available in Pro. If you are a heavy user, you'll need to upgrade beyond the standard license or use Desktop with a pro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
