Everything is quite intuitively placed, but I would have liked some type of tutorial that walked me through every feature. Overall having the different disciplines or aspects of a well-managed business operation under one software is what really captured me. From IP calling system generating very detailed leads and spreading them on a map with accurate positioning and coordinates, which at first doesn't look like a big thing, but then when the estimators go out they have all that precise info on one handheld device from which the estimates are done in a fast and professional way capturing photos on the system making all the detailed notes for the crews on the client's site, sending it from there or even capturing the client's signature and getting an approved estimate right there, that is efficiency...
Then all the scheduling process is done easy incorporating, crews with labour times, equipment requirements, best routes solutions generating work orders easy to access by the crew members, so everybody knows where to go and what to do, that is productivity...
The administration follow up process is done on the same platform, so all the invoicing, payments are taken care and nothing will be left aside. All these numbers and figures of income and expenses are detailed manage by the system and set up in a graphically easy to see statistic layout chart so that the opportunity for improvements can be done from real cases in real-time, that is proactive management...

Our company started off from scratch, the basic pen and paper and as the company grows and expands, we were looking for a software that has a systematic feature that targeted the tree industry and can offer us an all in one management platform.
Most software nowadays has many features that are too general and doesn't function much for the type of industry we have. Some are impressively advance but way out of our budget. When we had our demo from ArboStar all of us agreed that we have to try it and it eventually didn't fail us. We like how user friendly it is. The features they offer is everything that you could ask for, from scheduling, accounting, estimates and phone system.
Since I do customer service, I wanted something that is organized and easy to find on the system. The information is shared on the system so no need to go back and forth with the estimators. I also take advantage of the IP system since I can do an inbound and outbound call to respond to clients and coordinate with the estimators and the crew. The call feature is really a plus since no need to pay extra for a phone system.
It is handy in a sense that mobile feature is there and helpful for our field estimators, They can attach pictures on their estimates and it can be sent on-site so it is really savvy for people on the go.

Arbostar software is user-friendly and easy to navigate. The software prompts you to correct any mistakes as every detail plays a crucial role in the overall functionality of the software. The scheduling platform is excellent in terms of logistics. All the new confirmed projects are displayed on a map with details on the required equipment and crew to help minimize travel time between jobs and ensure smooth completion of all assigned projects. The new leads are displayed on the leads map immediately after the customer provides their information and can be viewed on a tablet or phone anywhere in the city allowing for an immediate response to new incoming leads.
