The freedom to customize (HTML/CSS/JS on the client side and access to the code tree) makes it feel flexible overall. It doesn’t feel like we’re limited in what’s possible to create. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hard to upgrade, support is less helpful with customized features. Connectors break often, especially when they are upgraded, and it seems like a massive undertaking every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like most about Aras Innovator is its flexible and open architecture. It allows easy customisation without heavy coding, supports complex business process and give strong version control with good life cycle and change management feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Aras Innovator is steep learning curve for beginners. Initial set-up cand configuration can be complex and UI performance may feel bit slow if the system is not properly optimized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Configurable, easy to use UI, connectivity Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a lot of modules/item types that can be used and it can be overwhelming trying to figure out what you need. This is a negative for me not because of Aras but because of my understanding/vision with using PLM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Flexible data model, helpful staff, good performance, consistent patterns. Browser based interface so you don't need to install extra software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
UI is a little dated but I understand they're working on that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As the platform evolves, administrators of the tool are presented ever growing numbers of way to implement a solution. This makes it challenging to maintain a large audience of administrators. It would be great if the platform could continue to standardize administrative "clicks" or "patterns" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
scalable, access and thread. The digital connections is great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Require third party for coding changes - not really aras but no internal resources. AI seems to be something that could make that internal Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
vertical integration with our CAD data is nice Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ECO workflow does not allow for adding items to a change once the ECO is past a certain point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The customizable aspect is really strong. I also like how quickly you can handle deployments. It’s especially great that Aras will upgrade your customizations as part of the process, so you don’t have to worry about your existing customizations being left behind. The user interface could be improved, and the number of clicks required should be reduced. Customer support also needs improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
