These are widely used tools in the apparel wholesale industry, yet the integrations required custom builds, resulting in higher costs and longer timelines. Also no integration with API for DHL is a huge miss considering Global-E is the leader in international shipping for Shopify and uses DHL. System Complexity -Executing a single transaction often requires navigating multiple tables, making the process unnecessarily complex. Transfers of goods, for example, involve a three-step process, slowing down workflows. Inventory Accuracy -The allocation process makes it difficult to view real-time “available-to-sell” inventory. While effective for mass production, this model is not well-suited for businesses with tighter inventory or cut-to-order models. Allocations and picks run on a set schedule, but adjustments cannot easily be made at the order level. By comparison, Full Circle (another Aptean product) does allow order-level allocation and deallocation. Small SKU Management -Exenta works best for large-scale, high-volume production. Businesses managing smaller quantities across multiple SKUs face delays and inefficiencies. PLM Integration Issues - The integration between PLM and Exenta, which was positioned as complete, remains incomplete. Cost sheets and BOMs are not fully supported, requiring additional investment to bridge the gap. Exenta ERP can serve large-scale apparel operations effectively, but for businesses with smaller batch sizes, tighter inventory, or complex SKU assortments, the platform creates inefficiencies. This implementation allowed us to move away from legacy systems and move onto a reliable platform with a knowledgeable support team. This assured our company that we had a team of skilled members to support us rather than relying on his house support. Exenta ERP also allowed us the take advantage of multiple applications that were lacking within our organization, providing us with a solid core system. From seamless EDI integrations and Order Management, detailed Style Master configurations, Warehouse Management, Production Order Management, and reporting tools, Exenta ERP Edition provided our company the opportunity to utilize a single system for our business operations. Exenta ERP has also given us the ability to integrate some components of our business needs with external vendors, such as our freight forwarders, 3PL's, and Manufacturers. Once we had the core infrastructure in place, automated processes setup within Task Manager gave essential time back to our employees. Overall, Exenta ERP Edition provided our company with all the right tools needed to move us forward. With ease of use across their applications, and an attentive support staff, it was once of the most critical and beneficial implementations to date. **What do you dislike about Aptean Apparel ERP Exenta Edition?** The main downside of Exenta ERP, is the lack of integrated BI Tools, dashboarding, analytics and AI functionality. It has been noted that these components are being offered in a relatively short time frame. This will be reviewed when released. I would say the only other downside is that the system is not web based. Although using a client application may be suitable for some, as well as using remote servers and or desktops to connect to the system, most new employees have commented that they are surprised that it is not web based. **What problems is Aptean Apparel ERP Exenta Edition solving and how is that benefiting you?** Visibility into Order Management for one. Allowing us to fully track our order fill rate and reasons why we may not be filling orders. Utilization of multiple allocation reason codes gives us insights in to where we stand. Production Order Management is another plus side for us. We have a proper method of tracking Production Orders in great detail. Unified system, all data in one place. Makes reporting easier to compile and to analyze. 3rd party integrations. Order entry, purchases, and inventory management are easy to manage. **What do you dislike about Aptean Apparel ERP Exenta Edition?** Exenta is designed to manage Apparel, with attributes like "size" and "color" driving their "style" data structure. Since we are a cosmetics company that does not use size or color in our data, we don't get to take advantage of the one of the best features they offer. Their report writer is outdated and not up to industry standards, but they granted us SQL access to our tables which allow us to use PowerBi tools to create the reports we need.
