What do you like best about Alex AI?

What do you dislike about Alex AI?

Many times, when something is new or unfamiliar, candidates are naturally a bit hesitant. As a result, navigating pushback and resistance from candidates can feel cumbersome at times. I wonder if giving them some sort of visibility into the grading would be helpful, so they can see whether or not they’re qualified after the interview. We use Alex AI for our higher-volume recruiting roles, and it’s been excellent for sorting and filtering large candidate pools. While Alex AI is very effective for high-volume screening, it still requires human oversight. Like most AI-driven tools, it can occasionally miss strong candidates with unconventional backgrounds or non-standard resumes, so we treat it as an efficiency tool rather than a replacement for recruiter judgment. Alex is an intelligent AI interviewer. We are impressed with this service and would recommend it. It works better the more you bend and work with it to customize interview kit questions to get the best results to get the best scores for inbound applicants being rated by Alex or taking the interview with Alex. What do you dislike about Alex AI?

Alex is building the plane while flying it, like most tech and AI startups so you have to be patient, work through issues as a team, collaborate with them and tell your users that they will have the give the product time to get to the best place it can be so its most effective. We have a low conversion rate of candidates that take the AI interview, not the Alex's fault, we are a bit early to the game of AI interviewing, but in a few years time, the job application world will probably have every candidate prescreened through AI and it will become more common. The training/implementation/adoption help of the tool could have been stronger, we leaned heavily on our internal trainer to help us roll it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What really stood out is that Alex does not replace recruiters. It makes strong recruiters better. The platform helps us increase candidate throughput while maintaining quality. It gives our team structured, job relevant insight before a human conversation even begins. That saves time, improves submission quality, and allows our recruiters to focus on relationship building, client strategy, and closing.

"Adaptive AI Questionnaires That Speed Up Technical Candidate Screening"
What do you like best about Alex AI?

I use it mostly to build test candidates knowledge in the technical areas that we need. I build questionnaires with progressing levels of difficulty, and the AI is able to adapt and skip tougher questions if the candidate is unable to answer simpler questions. It makes it easier and faster for me to review their answers and check if they are reading from a prompt or answering truthfully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alex AI?

I have two main complaints. The first is that interviews can feel very fast paced. If the candidate needs a minute or two to think about an answer, they usually don't get it. Alex prompts the user immediately after less than 10 seconds to ask if they are still there. That can be very distracting and annoying. Secondly, the pacing of the voice can feel quite unnatural. I have noticed many situations in which Alex took weird pauses in the middle of a question that make it sound like the prompt ended when it hadn't, yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
