As a relational database, it is easy to control governance, data validity, and navigation all with the software's native functions. In my 3 years of using AppSheet extensively, I have built some very simple yet effective apps and some incredibly complex apps that I never thought I would be able to create wwithout a programming background. **What do you dislike about AppSheet?** AppSheet is not the prettiest software. Native customizations for navigation or visualizations is left wanting many of which must come from awkward workarounds or imported into other systems. **What problems is AppSheet solving and how is that benefiting you?** AppSheet solves the problem of having to create relational databases for data entry, record keeping, tracking systems, or other operation management projects. Not only is the process of turning a working Google Sheet into an app fast but it is also an easy process that any team of one can accomplish solo. Having AppSheet at your fingertips is like having a team of UI, data engineers, and programmers on call. For example, we were paying premiums for a very simple and issue-laden software designed for internal organization package tracking. We decided to recreate this software, make changes for our unique business use case, and deployed it within 1 month of our contract of our other software expiring. ### 2. Now other teams can easily submit leads that were previously getting lost, which has been really helpful for the business. It felt very simple and intuitive, even though we have over 60 tables in our database. It covered all types of relationships between entities well, with great usability for the app and the web versions. I love the pricing model and the fact that my team feels comfortable with the fact we have Google Sheets behind the app, something they already know how to work with. The support team was amazingly responsive every time I needed help building something. We use it daily as a central part of our customer marketing efforts. The implementation was as easy as any Google Workspace product, and storing our data in AppSheet wasn't a hard decision because we already had all our spreadsheets and important documents in the same cloud. **What do you dislike about AppSheet?** The analytics capabilities aren't yet anything comparable with other analytics tools like PowerBI. I'm leveraging Looker studio, which is great because it's free but also lacks a lot of great resources for ETL, blend tables and create tables with data from multiple entities. There is no way to embed a Looker Studio report inside a view in AppSheet which is a shame because that way AppSheet would have a great instant improvement on anything graphics related in the app. So what I do is link the reports in the app, so it opens in Looker Studio (another product from the Workspace family and integrates well with AppSheet). **What problems is AppSheet solving and how is that benefiting you?** It gave our team the opportunity to develop an App to manage our Customer Marketing & Advocacy efforts, build process and structure data for later analytics on everything related to our relationship with Customers, other marketers and sales teams. ### 13. It can be a premium subscription for better support. The ability to ingest a Google Sheet's logic to shorten development time. **What do you dislike about AppSheet?** It's somewhat confusing to understand what parts - if any - of AppSheet's components are included as a part of our Enterprise Plan. Lack of interoperability with the full suite of relevant Google products hinders applicability to some use cases. **What problems is AppSheet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Currently, I'm only using AppSheet to solve one problem - though this falls far short of the use cases it could be used for: A light eCommerce platform that captures a customer's use of their credit bank for credit-specific offerings. ### 34. The app's editing interface is very intuitive and versatile. And the generated app is sensational, in addition to being able to access it in mobile and desktop versions, it has a very good look. Practical and fast tool for building applications. **What do you dislike about AppSheet?** The update delay on the desktop version of the app, sometimes I make changes to the data structure or even the title of the components and the desktop version seems to have a cache and takes a while to update. **What problems is AppSheet solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is helping a lot in the construction of tools for automating the activities of the internal team, which makes our day to day a lot easier, and even people who are more layman in programming can manage to maintain the app. In addition, it is very good for us to test new product features in advance, we develop them in appsheets, validate them with the end user and then let our development team implement them in our product. ### 42. It could be a tad bit easier to mask the URL. I haven't figured out how to do this without having to set in public view thereby losing security privileges. I absolutely love the security measures I can apply but do not like the fact I cant mask the "appsheet" URL. The security is the number one selling factor as I work in an industry that requires compliance along FCC, FTC, HIPPA, and TCPA. Also would like an easier way to integrate it with Google voice better as we run rooms across the globe and it sucks my reps cant simply click to call within the app and it call a protocol linked to a voice consoles.
