What do you like best about Appriver?

Decent price I guess. Nothing particularly great about them. The web interface, the filtering, the features, everything is just average. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appriver?

Filtering is just OK. Not fantastic. Lot's of phishing stuff gets through. We used to be with MX Logic and they were also. But they sold to McAfee who then sold to Intel, who then shut them down? Or at least told us we had to leave. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use AppRiver for filtering spam. Originally it was in front of an inhouse mail server and now we use it in front of Office 365. All of the mail first hits AppRiver and is then filtered and non-spam gets passed thru to Office 365. Users get daily reports of held spam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Appriver?

The filtering is pretty good -- not too many false positives or negatives. Customer support is excellent and the product is pretty easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appriver?

Major dislikes:

- No fine grain sorting on the daily spam report; I'd like to be able to sort spam from US at the the top and then in decreasing order by spam score (almost all of the false positives that we are interested in are from the US, the rest I don't care about); only options are by country (so US ends up in the middle) or date

- Can't specify spam report times at the individual user level (everyone gets it at the same time); this doesn't work well for users in other time zones

- Dashboard is kind of clunky and a bit slow

- Can whitelist/blacklist for a limited period of time (e.g., allow this mail thru for the next 7 days and then start blocking again)

- No way to add notes to whitelist/blacklists (e.g,, "white listed request from AN on 3/10/2019) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Appriver:

If you are looking for an easy-to-implement antispam/antimalware solution strongly consider AppRiver. They are very helpful in getting you up to speed and supporting you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Appriver solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use it purely for anti-spam and anti-malware on incoming messages; do not use it for outgoing. Benefits--incoming spam almost completely eliminated. Everyone agrees well worth the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
