Top Rated Apple Pay for merchants Alternatives

The best thing that I like about Apple Pay is that it is so simple to use and setup. When you first see the setup screen it is so easy to add cards with just a click of a button and is in plain clear site no need to go through clunky menus and such. The verification process is also seamless by verifying through a banks app and not having to wait on a call line is convenient. The compatibility of the cards that you can add to Apple Pay is probably every single bank and credit union in America, it would be hard to find a card or bank that does not support Apple Pay. Now on to the security side of Apple Pay, the way that Apple Transacts these payments are very cool and full of safety measures. The way that Apple processes payments are by not using your actually card number rather they use a virtual card number that is linked to your real payment and send that to the merchant. In the case that the merchant gets hacked then the hacker would only have access to your virtual one time card and not your real card. This makes me feel a lot safer when using my card either online or in stores. Stolen credit cards are my worries the most and using Apple Pay I have no worries about getting my info lost. A thing that I do not like about Apple Pay is that the limitation is very picky. Apple Pay is only for Apple devices that are newer than the iPhone 6 and that blows away a lot of the market for users that want to take advantage of the software. Another thing that I do not like in particular is the fact that Apple Pay is not universally accepted everywhere. When going to certain merchants I have no idea whether or not that Apple Pay would be accepted or not? Going up to the cashier and trying to use Apple Pay is very cumbersome and embarrassing when trying to tap your phone on the card reader and not having anything working. I think that Apple should persuade all merchants to use this technology and maybe provide an incentive for a short period to get them on board. Another issue that I ran across is that sometimes the transactions are glitched in the wallet app, one time I went shopping at a store and when I checked on the wallet app about the transaction, it showed me a totally different merchant that I had not went to, but the transaction was made at the place I bought from, so that was an issue. That is a big issue that needs to be fixed as it is important to the consumer to get accurate information about their transactions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy transactions, increased security, and a larger client base. Tokenization is another feature of Apple Pay that improves security by substituting distinct tokens for sensitive card information with each transaction. This can lower the possibility of fraud and illegal transactions, giving consumers and businesses peace of mind. Also Apple Pay provides a wide range of Apple products Apple Pay, making it available to a large user base and giving retailers access to a substantial market of Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch owners. For retailers, one drawback of Apple Pay is that it might require new hardware or technological advancements to function. The initial cost of purchasing appropriate terminals or systems may be prohibitive for certain smaller companies, particularly if they have recently made investments in other payment infrastructure.
The transaction costs related to utilizing Apple Pay are an additional factor to take into account. Although most payment processors charge fees, Apple Pay is not the only platform that imposes these fees. However, some merchants may discover that the charges are marginally greater than those of traditional card transactions, which could negatively affect their profit margins, especially for smaller transactions. Convenience and Ease of Use. Apple Pay offers customers a seamless and quick checkout experience. I can tap their device or use biometric authentication (such as Touch ID or Face ID) to complete the payment, eliminating the need for physical credit cards or manually entering payment details. Although Apple Pay has gained popularity, not all customers use it as their preferred payment method, which makes sense, but not all merchants support apple pay either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most convenient method of payment. You can simply use your phone or apple watch to make the payment in a matter of seconds. Love the ease and simplicity of the product. It makes the transactions hassle-free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You have to press the side button twice to make the payment despite the Face ID detection. This should be removed because sometimes it becomes annoying to press the side button when you're in a busy place or when your hands are already occupied. The user should at least have an option to turn it on/off manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use a phone case wallet, which can only hold 3 cards. Apple Pay allows me to keep most of my charge cards within the app so, unless I am somewhere that does not take it, it is like having my entire wallet with me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are fewer brick and mortar stores taking Apple Pay than there should be, in my opinion (WalMart being a glaring omission.) But I see new stores coming online with Apple Pay all the time, so I don't think this is a long term problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
