I find the optimization of apps very useful. It is faster and cleaner than the previous version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a lot of extra updates to add-on, but overall there is not much that I can complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The OS is stable and supports older programs like Microsoft, Adobe, and others that now require a subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some glitches such as programs crashing when using software before a patch or update was released to fix the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Apple os is one of the best. I have used both windows as well as apple. Here in Apple, OS X featured are unbeatable as compared to windows. Auto saver is an excellent feature that helps the user to save the doc or edited picture automatically. Also, airplay is the best feature as well as compared with all apple products. The worst feature about OS is that older devices like old apple tv are no longer compatible with this new operating sysytem. Certain like scroll down feature is also very irritating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This Apple OS is quick. New apps and windows open in milliseconds, and apps rarely crash, but when they do, the Force Quit option clears up almost all issues. I rarely find myself having to restart the OS to ensure app stability and efficiency. I really like that you can have multiple "desktops" open with different apps and windows. I would like more options for multitasking and rearranging windows among one desktop. I would also like built-in FaceTime and iMessage capability so that I can seamlessly move from iPhone to Mac. Some apps (mostly games) will not run natively on Apple OS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use, not buggy, a significant improvement over previous updates, increased functionality over the last update Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many people say battery life has improved, but for me, my battery life has gotten worse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I found that this system was very stable and clean. Also, it came with a suite of creative products that I found were really really fun and useful. I used I movie a number of times for presentations, and started making music with Garageband. Also, one feature of Apple hardware is that generally when using USB equipment, there is no need to install a driver, which makes setup for external equipment very easy and stress free. This was especially good while working with end users at the IT help desk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's very outdated in the year 2021. At this point, there are far, far more recent operating systems that can run on the same equipment. One of the things that I didn't like it about the time (and is likely still true) is that it couldn't run much of the Windows proprietary software that I wanted to use, and additionally only ran on more expensive (apple) hardware, rather than on the more cost effective windows machines that I found were available. I like the ease of use for the user. It makes it very simple to navigate and manage all the programs and files on the computer. Everything is snappy and reaction time is near instant in most cases. Not very related to the software itself but I do enjoy that it is based on a cat. I also enjoy how quickly my peripheals connect. I simply have to take out my wireless headphones and by the time I put them in my ear, they are paired and ready to go. I love that it offers so many features for everyday utility. I dislike how the font has changed and things have become rounded at the edges, this is just aesthetic/personal preference for the most part though. I do find it difficult to navigate the landscape of the OS when things move or steps are taken away/added to how things were done before. It doesn't make sense to me that there is not some kind of tutorial or walkthrough after an OS update to guide users through and make sure they have a pleasant experience. Mountain Lion definitely loads all programs very quickly, operates at a faster speed, and enables me to nimbly move across my laptop with multiple apps, windows, and tabs all open and running synonymously. It has my older device running like new! I was wary about making the purchase given the price, but I feel my return on investment has been ten-fold! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mountain Lion took a very long time to download but I will say it was worth the wait! It could have also been my device so I'm not sure I'd entirely blame the software update for this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Mountain Lion was the latest step in the evolution of the MacOS. Things are snappier and more refined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything seems to be working well, with no complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
