What do you like best about Applaud?

Building customized, department-specific onboarding journeys is incredibly helpful with this platform. A new medical officer at a regional clinic obviously needs a completely different set of introduction materials compared to an administrative clerk at the tax office. What do you dislike about Applaud?

The analytics dashboard for tracking onboarding progress feels quite rigid and doesn’t offer the granular filtering needed for a large government structure. For example, if I want to export a report showing exactly which field workers in a specific rural sub-district have paused their mandatory safety compliance videos, it’s difficult to do that. Managing human resources for thousands of deskless factory workers has historically been challenging because they don’t have access to corporate computers. Applaud sits seamlessly on top of our deeply customized, on-premise legacy HR system and gives our production-floor staff a modern, mobile-friendly application. The initial data mapping between Applaud and our customized ERP backend was much more difficult than anticipated. Applaud strikes a strong balance between guidance and flexibility. Employees are walked through key processes without feeling boxed in or overly restricted, and the AI assistant helps reduce uncertainty along the way. As a result, HR spends less time chasing updates and more time focusing on higher-value work. Our previous approach depended heavily on manual coordination, which wasn’t sustainable. Employees no longer feel like they’re submitting requests into a black hole. The AI assistant responds right away and helps guide them to the correct next step, which makes the whole process feel more transparent. From an HR standpoint, the journeys add structure to processes that used to be very manual and inconsistent. Overall, the experience feels intentional, people-focused, and much easier to navigate. Case management is probably the feature we use the most. Every HR request becomes a case, so we can assign it to the correct HR team member, track the status, and also record all communication inside the case.
