I haven't come across citizen development or a need to use "low code" or "drag and drop" strategies (as a developer) more than 3% of the time. As an ancient developer, I'm uncomfortable about how much db work (table creation, relationships) delegated to the app when we depend on database access and support from other teams for integrations. These are small things, and I get why Appian would include them for their core audience (or the audience they want). Some congratulatory tone still in some training. Appian is a good BPM tool for applications having a workflow management process. Community helps to resolve the queries where we have plenty of users who give inputs. As a developer, there is no build, compile or merge up of application. The framework is similar to plug and play. You just login and you are ready to develop.
