What do you dislike about Appian?

I found Appian to have a high licensing cost, which is a significant drawback for me. Additionally, there is a steep learning curve, especially for complex scenarios, which makes it challenging to master quickly. The UI customization options are limited, which can be restrictive compared to other systems. Furthermore, there are occasional performance overheads that affect the software's efficiency. What do you like best about Appian?

What I appreciate most about Appian is its ability to enable the rapid development and deployment of sophisticated business applications with minimal coding effort. What do you dislike about Appian?

Appian’s licensing and pricing model can be expensive for smaller teams, especially as user counts grow. While the low-code tools are powerful, some advanced customizations still require skilled developers and can become complex. The learning curve for new users can be steep if they have no prior experience with process automation. Also, the documentation could be more detailed in certain areas, especially for integrations and advanced features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
