"Accelerated Development with Low Code, Needs More Customization"
4/5
What do you like best about Appian?

I really like the low-code nature of Appian, which makes it easier to automate complex business processes. The interface is another great aspect, and I love the speed of development and deployment. It allows me to develop applications faster and reduce the time to deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Data for Complex, Audited Workflows"
4/5
What do you like best about Appian?

This is not a toy for making easy-to-do lists. It manages heavy and complicated workflow logic in various regions and departments. It is the foundation of business processes that have strict audit tracks and complicated data paths. It should be reliable; it is not liable to fracture. In the architecture, the point of sale is the Data Fabric. It integrates information in our CRM, other databases, and external APIs into one without having to undertake a huge migration project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appian?

The interface design applications are stiff. Although you can create functional UIs in very little time, it is infuriatingly hard when compared to modern web frameworks to tailor the appearance and feel to stringent brand specifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformative Automation with AI-Driven Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Appian?

I like Appian's ability to define business processes and implement the process flow to adapt to various edge scenarios. The AI-driven navigation through the process and bringing humans in the loop for unforeseen situations is also quite useful. I appreciate the availability of multiple AI models, which shortens the go-to-market time and makes the implementation easy to understand through visual design. Additionally, the initial setup was somewhat easy with the help of the Appian support team and a dedicated relationship manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appian?

Some essential connections like GraphAPI, connecting to on-prem systems, and PrivateLink implementation should be part of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Appian Platform Review (Updated): What’s New and What Matters"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Appian?

I have been using appian from past 5 years now and they have done a good job in improving their appian AI engines, their associated LLMs and Generative AI. They have also improved their platform capabilities like 50M record data sync, portals and Appian Document Center. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appian?

The one thing to note is the Appian limitations of different data types specifically decimal rounding issues. The generative AI also used external LLMs which creates a more scrutinized environment for security. Their are some more wear and tears but appian has been performing quite well and improving everyday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ruthlessly Effective Orchestration with Standout Data Fabric Virtualization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Appian?

Quick and ruthlessly effective in orchestrating the processes, it abstracts the boilerplate code and is more concerned with the business logic rather than syntax. Although the interface design is rather inflexible against the custom React, the internal tool speed is hard to refute. The outstanding capability is the Data Fabric. Its capacity to virtualize the data of numerous sources without necessarily transferring or copying them is better than the competition. It is, in fact, as the advertised advertisement says, getting SQL and API data together with no problem into one record type. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appian?

Specific interface component version control is a tedious manual task, and a one-rule rollback is too manual to be a part of modern CI/CD, including lacking the fine control afforded by standard code repositories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Low-Code Workflow Building with a Straightforward UI"
4/5
What do you like best about Appian?

I like how fast you can build workflows and apps. The low-code part makes development way quicker. The UI design is straightforward and easy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appian?

Sometimes the platform feels a bit restrictive compared to full coding. Performance can slow down with very large applications. Some integrations can be harder to configure than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Building Apps with Low-Code"
4/5
What do you like best about Appian?

I like Appian platform because it provides us a wide number of features such as low-code development and process automation which leads to manage the business processes more smoothly. The platform is very easy to use, which allows me to quickly build and manage workflows without getting bogged down in technical complexity and get better collaboration across teams.

Customer support has been very responsive and helpful whenever I had questions, I use Appian frequently in my role to automate the workflows, manage approvals, and track the assign tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appian?

Appian is a powerful platform, but there are few drawbacks in my views that could be improved. First, its reporting and analytics capabilities, which could be more intuitive and flexible for detailed insights. Second, technical knowledge is required for the beginners who are using its advanced customization features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Appian: Great Smart Services and AI, But RPA Needs Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about Appian?

I like that Appian is not only a workflow automation tool but it has other smart services built in which can enhance the efficiency of the processes by automating the business rules and has AI capabilities as well for content extraction, content generation and summarisation, making the end user life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appian?

It says it has RPA capabilities but compared to UiPath and other Automation giants like BluePrism and Automation anywhere, it is still not there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Low-Code Development with Appian, but Customization and Costs Can Be Challenging"
4/5
What do you like best about Appian?

I like best about Appian is its low-code approach, which allows rapid application development with minimal manual coding. The platform’s intuitive interface, strong process automation capabilities, and seamless integration with other systems make it highly efficient for building scalable enterprise solutions. It enables faster delivery of business applications while maintaining flexibility and governance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appian?

While Appian is a powerful low-code platform, it can feel somewhat restrictive when handling highly customized or complex use cases that require deep coding flexibility. Additionally, the licensing costs and resource requirements for scaling can be relatively high, which may pose challenges for smaller teams or projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
