I like that event sales/tickets, contributions, bank integration, donor info and reports can all be done through Aplos. I also like that it is very user friendly. However, after using Aplos for 14 years and recommending it to multiple non-profit colleagues, the best thing about it is their customer service. Every time I have had an issue, I receive timely service from a representative based in the US who walks me through the solution. For one problem, we discovered there was a feature that really didn’t work well and they actually took my suggestion and fixed it accordingly to make it more user friendly. The fact a company was willing to listen to a dedicated user and make a site adjustment based off real time use, made me feel like their clients matter and their goal is to make the experience the best it can be. Over the years, I’ve looked into other options thinking maybe something better has come along but I am convinced having a platform that is so focused on non-profits like Aplos is truly the best. The accessibility to the addons WITHOUT a required "meeting"; Add what you need and keep moving. Aplos is better with a team, but one can "get it done" within Aplos platform, the tools are there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

that it does not download to the desktop. I do not like the migration methodology, and implementation makes you do whatever you are doing all over again, (It appears they need something to do) I do not like the fact you "quickly" meet the Agents "ceiling" when abreast, know what you want etc., I do not like the fact you must appear "helpless" to "get" Agents(humans) involved in the tasks/work and NOT AI do it all. Other than that, the fees are more than reasonable once you get past the meetings and phone calls, kick-off calls, and all the other "preliminaries it takes to BEGIN. Aplos is very easy to learn and use, and data entry is quick and smooth. It provides clear, accurate reports that help keep our administration and board of directors informed about our financial status. The integration with banking and payroll accounting keeps everything up to date and makes the information easy to understand. Aplos provides fund accounting for non-profit organizations. We are able to produce financial statements by fund providing greater control over designated donations. Controls in place to ensure that funds remain in balance. Aplos also integrates with our payroll provider and our debit card spend making reconciliations quick. I wish I could automate incoming transactions using 'rules'. I think that I still spend too much time reconciling bank account transactions.

When reconciling accounts, if you need to review a transaction and then return back to the reconcile, all previous entries have been deleted - one has to start with the reconciling from the beginning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the easily customizable reports and the ability to email contribution statements directly to donors from the system, which is extremely efficient. The custom reporting lets us track and provide data to church organizations about their income and expenses. Additionally, our experience switching from Church Windows to Aplos was extremely positive due to the fantastic virtual bookkeeper support during the transition and initial setup. Over the last 18-24 months, our bookkeeping support has been challenging. Due to staff turnover, we have had at least three bookkeepers during that time frame and have not been able to establish supportive working relationships. Additionally, when calling in for support, seldom is anyone available to assist.
