Big part in my role is proposal writing and because of AODocs it has made collaboration a whole lot easier for me. Now I dont have to worry about different versions of documents floating around. Everyone can login and use same file. **What do you dislike about AODocs?** Although it has come a long way since we started using it, it remains challenging in terms of adaptability for many. We use it in collaboration with Google Docs and many time it's not as easy as 123 to incorporate this software into their daily workflow. AODocs Review **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019 **What do you like best about AODocs?** We get the best of Team Drives and Google Drive -- we can keep all our documents owned by a corporate account (no individual ownership) and still get to share folders on a granular level with different staff and groups. **What do you dislike about AODocs?** Having to keep an eye on the storage account and throttle how many files and subscriptions are used within one storage account is more overhead than we planned on. At the very least it would be nice to have some notifications when an account is reaching those threasholds. Also, it would be VERY helpful if - when using the UFO - there was a way to SAVE AS the file. Although SAVE works fine, and puts the file back in the original Google Drive folder, if a user wants to save a new version of the file, if they use SAVE AS, Office puts the new file in an abstract folder buried under the AODocs Program Files folder and the user thinks it got lost. I recommend AODocs figures out a hook in Windows for SAVE AS like they did for SAVE. Otherwise, users need to SAVE AS the file to their desktop or some other local folder and then upload to Google Drive - countering the great features of using the UFO in the first place. Lastly, at least in Chrome, please find a way to hook into the file picker and file saver so that files being downloaded from and uploaded to a website can be chosen from Google Drive. Otherwise, files need to be downloaded / uploaded by hand - once again countering all the great features of AODocs. **What problems is AODocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Better functionality than Team Drives. Although they do have some powerful features, I find that it just makes it harder for me to get through my workday and over-complicates things. I recommend focusing on the cloud-ability between services and local machines. **Recommendations to others considering AODocs:** The Universal File Opener plug-in for Google Drive is absolutely worth your while. If you don''t care for their other services, please take a look at this plug-in. It will allow you to open any file in Google Drive on your machine and then sync back and forth live. I also like the great integration that the addons have with the tools. Lastly, I love the technical service available, it is multilingual and solves any problem or doubt instantly. **What do you dislike about AODocs?** It does not have auto-save, so if you don't save manually, you will lose the changes you have made. I also don't like that if two people open the same document simultaneously, and one makes changes, the other will not be able to see them. I think it is very easy to use as well which is why our firm originally switched. We were wanting an easy to use system that we could train others to use without having too spend too much time doing so. We were able to edit the documents as well as manage them all in one place so that we could keep track of what has been sent and what was still needing to be sent. **What problems is AODocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** With this we are allowed to send documents to out customers right away and it allows us to communicate with them as well.
