What do you like best about Ansys Chemkin-Pro?

I like the fact that I was able to display data obtained from the reactions and their progress. I also like how to set the reactors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Chemkin-Pro?

I think for the particular case of study, I did not get much information from the manual. I struggled to represent a reaction in plasma and it took me a while to simulate that reaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Be in contact with technical support. When using pfr remember to use a serie of cstr to simulate this pfr. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ansys Chemkin-Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I completed an engineering project in simulating a reaction of hydrogen Cyanide in a plasma reactor. Being able to simulate this reaction will eventually reduce the amount of testing and could help to understand key paths for the reaction to be maximised. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ansys Chemkin-Pro?

Chemkin-Pro for me is the standard tool for me to work with combustion mechanisms. The best thing about it is it’s universalism, meaning that very often you can find combustion mechanisms in Chemkin format, making the process much faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Time-consuming while running a complex system. Sometimes it takes more than 30 hours to complete the run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It provides pre defined modules to select from and really helps setup the problem with high flexibility in input parameters, making possible a full range studies possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has solver issues for problems are not of predefined type and leads to huge computational time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ansys Chemkin-Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have developed a mechanism for pyrolysis of methane for CVD process using other tool and was validating the results found in experiment through reactor available in chkin-pro.
