Support's basically paywalled—don't get much help unless you upgrade. They followed up when they said they would and knowing I was going on a trip they sent me recommendations for the place I was going from someone who was from there. Nice touch. Honestly, Numeral made it seem like they were too good to speak to us and never called us back. Best part about the software is that it’s super easy to use compared to Avalara. Setting up tax codes needed an advanced degree and it’s a lot easier with Anrok. They have integrations with both our HR system and our accounting system, making it easy to streamline nexus and all the information to one interface. When I asked numeral about their integrations with pretty common systems, they just said they were “roadmapped” and then they completely ghosted us. **What do you dislike about Anrok?** Right now they have a pretty small team, so our state registrations are taking forever. However, we are able to get humans on the phone when we need to and they help us out. But if you email the general registrations inbox, you get a different person each time and it does take forever to get a response. And often times you get multiple responses on items that were already resolved. It’s not a dealbreaker cause it’s just a part of working with a growing company, but they offer a good product at a good price so we’re always happy to work with companies like that. **What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?** Anrock was helping us solve the problem of us working in multiple states and having to navigate the waters of both economic and physical nexus for sales tax. I love how attentive and detailed their support team is. 1. They have a quick turnaround time. 2. They explain things in plain English. 3. They are very detailed and ensure your questions are addressed. **What do you dislike about Anrok?** There was a period where there was a disconnect between Anrok and our billing platform. There were recent updates to Anrok, which broke the integration. As a result, our sales tax calculation on our invoices was very delayed. We opened a ticket with both platforms, but they pointed fingers at each other when the platforms should have communicated better. I wish there were a more obvious way to see when a state has given us a credit or adjustment to our filings. I am not worried about our tax filing since the system provides all calculation and reconciliation needed which saved us a lot of hours of manual work. Another great thing about Anrok which I really recommend, is the ease of integration. It offers connection to our HR system and billing platform making it again, safer and more accurate when it comes do verifying our physical or economic nexus and adding sales tax directly to the customer's invoice. **What do you dislike about Anrok?** Unfortunately I had some struggles with Anrok's support team who in the past was not replying on time or not giving me specific advice solving my issue. Also we had some filings being late due to some technicalities partially on government side. Even though we ran into several integration road blocks, they were both quick to respond, willing to hop on calls to help troubleshoot, and pointed us to the right people when we needed extra support. Now that we have Anrok fully up and running, it is nice to not have to worry about filings and have Anrok take care of it. **What do you dislike about Anrok?** Unfortunately, we were under the impression that the Anrok implementation process would be significantly easier than it was. The actual integration with our software was fairly simple, however we ran into several road blocks after that. For example, the Anrok team was not as knowledgable on the accounting specifics such as how to issue credits for a customer who was invoiced for sales tax but shouldn't have been charged for sales tax. We had a lot of confusion around which accounts in our accounting system would sales tax and sales tax credits fall into. To get Anrok up and running smoothly with our other systems, from end to end, probably took almost 6 months. **What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to integrating Anrok, we were not managing sales tax. We got to a stage in our company where it became necessary so we filed VDAs and looked for an easy solution to manage our sales tax. The Anrok system is easy to use and understand our tax exposures by jurisdictions. The Anrok system provides an easy way to file our sales taxes for each state. Anrok interface is easy to navigate. **What do you dislike about Anrok?** I would like Anrok to improve the way I can verify the sales tax amounts with the Netsuite invoices. Currently., Anrok does not provide the Netsuite invoice numbers in the sales tax details. Since there is no invoice in Netsuite, I have to look up the customer first in Netsuite and review the invoices to find the correct corresponding invoice to reconcile the sales tax amounts. It would be so much more convenient to have the invoice numbers specifically shown in the sales tax details. Anrok does not give me sufficient time to invoice and review our sales taxes. I have always had to ask Anrok support each month to give me more time to file. Our issue is that we need to process manuall invoices at the beginning of each month for the previous month usage for some of our customers. I need time to prepare these invoices. I was told that I can have extended tax filing deadlines, but I need to go to the higher level plan. The Stripe functionality of adjusting invoices works out of the box without any issues. The API documentation is much more robust now than it used to be a couple of years ago, which minimizes the amount of customer support needed. **What do you dislike about Anrok?** The way that Anrok interacts with Stripe brought up several complexities that we had to solve for. For example, we could no longer use Stripe credits for discounts given that Anrok's tax calculation doesn't take Stripe credits into consideration. **What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?** Anrok calculates and applies sales tax to Stripe invoices, which allows us to collect sales tax from our users. ### 27.
