## Anchor Reviews
  ### 1. The most friendly platform for podcasts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Pablo d. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

It distributes my podcast (Time Es Cool) to several platforms without any effort from my side.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

It only provides enough statistics about the audience from Spotify.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a podcast (Time Es Cool) that must be distributed to several audio platforms and my own website (www.timeescool.com/podcast).

  ### 2. Everything for the Novice Podcaster

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex G. | Managing Principal and Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor makes it so easy to start a podcast! Take it from me--I started podcasting in 2006, and you are spoiled by how easy Anchor makes it in 2021!

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

I wish it would allow two podcasts to share the same Stripe account for ad revenue.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My efficiency in recording, distributing, and monetizing podcasts has gone up at least 80%.

  ### 3. Love it, but it is limited

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tammy R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor is great because it is FREE and you can record, edit, and distribute easily. If your podcast is essentially a service, this is great. Hard to find something like it.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

What I don't like about Anchor is that you can only have one podcast. My podcast isn't monetized. It's a Christian podcast that helps women deal with life. My first one was in Spanish, and now I have need to expand to English as well, to help more people.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maintaining a helping relationship with women that I have counseled in the past. I can reach more women with a biblical approach to similar problems. I am able to help even though no longer present in Peru.

  ### 4. Anchor makes running my podcast easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack S. | Founder & Head Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

I love how I can edit directly on the site, see my viewers and manage everything there. I dont have to submit my recordings to all the different places, I just upload and go!

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

Nothing, its brilliant! - I have zero issues with the platform whatsoever

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its making managing my podcast so easy. I don't have the headache of managing multiple different platforms. it's all in one place ready to go!

  ### 5. Best podcast hosting platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandra R. | Content Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

My favorite thing about Anchor is that I can review how many listens an episode has each day, week or month. It also allows me to see where from around the world listen to my podcast.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

I wish they would help podcast creators with SEO. I hope that, in the future, Anchor will offer prompts/options as to how to better my SEO in my episode description.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me to host my podcast free of charge. It has also helped me distribute my podcast to different and critical platforms, like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

  ### 6. User-Friendly Podcast Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abbey S. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

It is easy to upload and share new podcasts, and it automatically goes to the various listening platforms. It's also very customizable so that each episode can have its unique artwork.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

The upload time per episode can get lengthy. Editing could be done right in Anchor to avoid this, though.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to reach new and existing audiences. The stats and reports are easy to follow too.

  ### 7. It makes podcasting so simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sameer G. | Chatbot Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

- Easy to record, edit and post podcasts
- Have inbuilt background music and effects which we can use in our podcast
- The best thing is its distribution; once you post the podcast on Anchor, it automatically distributes it among top podcast platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, and many others. In very few platforms like Jio Saavn, you need to do it manually.
- Free to use, I liked this initiative by Spotify to help podcasters
- Its detailed analytics

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

- As it is free and still offers this much value, I am happy with that. Still, if I would need to say, they can put more background music and editing options.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I create my podcast, which is for kids. I have made more than 30 episodes with Anchor, which got more than 150K+ plays to date. Once you have the content, it is easy to record, edit and post it on Anchor.

  ### 8. Podcast on Steroids

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian C. | ★ Booking Agent, CEO, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor is one of the best and easiest podcast platforms available. Versatile, user-friendly, and well-designed, the website and application are one of the best tools that I have utilized. We often have our streams and podcasts prerecorded, then simply upload to Anchor for posting out to all Podcast outlets and platforms.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

A little more control over design elements would be helpful for the profile section of our podcasts. Perhaps more options for delivery of our finished products would be helpful as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Anchor:**

If you are wanting to broadcast your podcast (and video coming soon), with quality audio, ease of customization for each individual episode, then Anchor is your answer!

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have discovered that with Anchor, we are able to publish our podcasts out to several podcast platforms and reach a broader audience via Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc. We are also able to monetize the podcasts with Anchor's built-in monetization program.

  ### 9. Podcasting made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro C. | Linkedin Book Author, Speaker, Consultant ||| Helping others on Social Selling | Social Recruiting |, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Super easy to use.

Create a podcast from your mobile device

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

Nothing relevant!
Maybe the adjusting the quality of the sound

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping professionals produce a superb podcast

  ### 10. Streamlined Podcast Capabilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

It is easy to upload new podcast episodes and edit them right in Anchor. With just a few clicks of a button, the new episode can be shared to all the main podcast streaming platforms which is super time efficient.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

While it is nice to edit an episode in Anchor, it can sometimes be a bit confusing. I've had better luck editing outside Anchor and uploading the audio ready file to there.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is streamlining the uploading process and is easy to manage all episodes in one dashboard. I can easily see the stats and data from each episode, or break it down by day or week. This gives us better info on what people are interested in listening to.

  ### 11. Best podcasting software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emelda D. | UX Design Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor is the best podcasting software because it's intuitive and you get so much out of it without paying a hefty price. I love that I can record my podcast even when I am offline

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

The login process can be a bit confusing with a possibility of creating multiple accounts without you even noticing it. This can be frustrating when you want to log back in.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anchor is a good way to publicise any information that you want your audience to have. It is the best content creation tool to keep audiences engaged at all times to raise awareness of any campaigns that you could be working on.

  ### 12. Anchor — easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett C. | Lifestyles Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor has simple interface controls. With a little bit of time invested testing buttons and options, you can modify your podcast to what you like. We have not used competitors, so cannot speak to "this vs. that."

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

I would prefer that files be more easily shared to platforms other than Spotify. While Spotify is my personally preferred platform, Some clients and friends use other software and would prefer our "product" be offered elsewhere, as well.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to produce our podcast usually with no more than an additional hour of work after recording it. The additional time is typically just adding intros/outros and waiting on upload times.

  ### 13. Easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonia B. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

It was so easy to use! The very first time i used the app, it was really easy to use! I didn't have to be walked through it, it was very simple and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

A downside is that the guest doesn't get a saved copy of the episode automatically when it's done recording. I also wish there was a video feature because it would be fun to watch each other while podcasting. The episodes could be better if people could feed off of each other's facial expressions, which would be helpful to the podcasters.

**Recommendations to others considering Anchor:**

Play around with it and record a few things prior to commiting fully. Like any service, you should test it out to make sure it has everything you need.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anchor has simplified the podcasting process! Now anyone can be a podcaster and start their own podcast using Anchor! It's cool that you can sync up to spotify and use other sounds in the library too, making it even easier to create a dynamic and interesting episode. Anchor is all you need to start a podcast!

  ### 14. Helpful tool to get your podcast on many platforms

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liz J. | Communications Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

I like that Anchor sends my podcast out to several podcatcher platforms so I do not have to upload to many platforms individually. Easy to upload and edit audio and video.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

Wish it was easier to promote the podcast from within the Anchor platform to external platforms. Also it has not proved to be easy to get ads from using Anchor alone.

**Recommendations to others considering Anchor:**

Very helpful free tool to get your podcast published and out there!

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do like that I can schedule the podcast and it has never not published when scheduled. No issues there. I like not having to post to many different platforms.

  ### 15. Incredible Tool for Podcast Hosting and Sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian M. | Instructional Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor is completely intuitive to use for uploading podcast audio, sharing episodes, and tracking listenership data. We just use it to run a small departmental podcast, but I can easily see Anchor working at a larger scale; I know of a couple other users at our school that use it for bigger projects. They handle all of the platform access, so I didn't have to navigate all the different options, and again the interface is so user-friendly and easy without feeling barebones. Plus, you literally can't beat the price.

Basically - I am not even really using half of what Anchor can do, and I already love it.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

I have just a couple of minor quibbles with Anchor, mostly tiny quirks in the episode creation process. For instance, when you're uploading audio, you have to Save the episode before adding a title, description, and other info. Not a huge deal, but an extra step that I wish could be compressed - I would prefer to upload into an "episode" rather than add info to a file. The scheduling/posting also has a few foibles; a couple of times, I've thought an episode was scheduled for later only to have it post immediately, or an episode had saved as a draft when I thought it would post. These aren't all the tool's fault, but the scheduling is just a tad unclear at times.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a free podcasting service; it lets us realize a goal we had as a department (start a podcast for faculty to share their experiences and stories from COVID and online teaching). It solves the distribution, uploading, hosting, all that for us. The benefit is we can spread the word in a way that could have cost much more money, time, and effort.

  ### 16. Easy to Set Up for Novices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelley P. | Technical Sales Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Setting up your account and starting your first episode is extremely easy! Once you get logged in, you can quickly begin recording from your phone and then organize your recorded clips. Once comfortable, you can start adding music and finishing up your episodes! It's easy to add music to the background of clips and then make your podcast live! It's easy to add it to streaming services as well! We started our podcast from scratch and found it easy and fun! The browser option is also beneficial! We've been able to upgrade microphones for better quality recordings and higher quality episode building.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

It's not the best for editing clips. You can trim audio, but there is not highly sophisticated editing software. There also is not a great option for multiple voices per segment. You can use a phone call for interviews, but you lose sound quality due to the inconsistency of phone microphones.

**Recommendations to others considering Anchor:**

Invest in a microphone! It makes a major difference in overall sound quality.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to create customized content and directly reach potential customers. It has allowed us to be proactive in creating content that meets the needs of our industry and gives us another avenue to share knowledge. This platform is extremely user-friendly, and it has been easy for other contributors to submit sound clips that we can upload into the software and use in podcasts.

  ### 17. Get Paid for Your Podcast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinny H. | Co-Owner/DJ, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Easy to add your podcast. You can earn money in various ways. Schedule your podcast. Produce your podcast from within the software. Hosting is free.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

The paid ads from Anchor are few and far between. They say they are matching you with advertisers, but all the ads I've done have been for Anchor or Spotify.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to add my podcast, which is then distributed to different platforms for free. They don't even have a storage cap! I've enjoyed the ease of use.

  ### 18. Highly recommend

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor is extremely easy to use and feels very intuitive. I don't have a lot of experience with podcasting but this made it simple. It helps manage the process for you.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

Honestly, there isn't a lot to dislike with Anchor. You have to do a little advertising for them but that's a small thing compared to what you gain access to do nothing to complain about.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anchor allows me to easily put my podcast out there and helps make the process easy. It's free to use and user friendly. I'm not sure what other paid programs offer, but this does everything I need.

  ### 19. Anchor for creating a podcast with ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan S. | Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor is free and it allows anyone to create a podcast. It provides all the tools you need and makes it very simple to create and distribute your podcast.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

I can't think of anything that really sticks out. The only thing that I can think of is that the links don't carry over to all the platforms like Spotify. This is probably not Anchor's fault but something don't by the other platforms.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly wanted to create a podcast to build some backlinks to my website. It's also could be found by some prospective clients, but I find that unlikely.
I had no idea how to create a podcast, and I was able to do it within a few minutes.

  ### 20. A solution for podcast creators

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

How easy it is to use and edit audio, using a variety of stock sounds and effects. I use this with Spotify to share my podcast. It's by far the most comprehensive tool for podcast creation.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

Not much to be honest, I wish it was more popular and had a better guidance on how to monetize a podcast. This product could be enhanced by allowing users to edit the podcast online.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My desire to start a podcast with few resources, just my phone and computer. I used to think podcasting was complicated and Anchor proved me how wrong I was about it.

  ### 21. Best Podcast Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jakia m. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

I love being able to record and edit my podcast right in one space. The flexibility to add sponsors and get paid in one platform is a plus.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

I dislike not being able to automatically list on Apple itunes

**Recommendations to others considering Anchor:**

If you need a one stop shop for hosting your podcast, Anchor is the platform for you.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am hosting a podcast that allows entrepreneurs and authors to highlight their projects to other women in business.

  ### 22. Best way to podcast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesca C. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor had made podcast distribution so easy and wonderful for me.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

Wish there were a few more opportunities for ads.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to monetize and distribute my podcast in a way that I can understand, and their customer service is great for what I don't understand.

  ### 23. Great podcast platform. Easy distribution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stella G. | Co-Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

I like how easy it is to upload, change information and schedule your episodes. My website is on Wordpress and I tried using a plugin there before - it was very clunky. Anchor made everything easier and even gives you the ability to distribute to all podcast platforms for free. If you have a large audience, you can also earn money by inserting ads.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

I wish a link would be available as soon as we schedule the episode. Youtube has the ability to do that - so that we could send a preview to guests.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy podcast hosting and distrubution

  ### 24. Easy to use and efficient!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

I have a small podcast, and Anchor is the best tool to use for it. It's straightforward to use, and I can produce excellent high-quality audio.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

My only complaint is that the system limits serious podcasters from getting what they need. The app will work great for hobbyists-smaller podcasts but has many limitations when it comes to serious podcasters.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My biggest problem when starting my podcast was finding a hosting software that was trusted and inexpensive. My most significant benefit is a massive increase in listenership and a boost to my brand.

  ### 25. Free and powerful

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor gives you a full list of features for use as a podcast, and they are free!

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

They aren't as set up for integration with 3rd party apps, but they aggregate to all the podcast listening apps. They also have a very limited category list.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting my podcast

  ### 26. Great service and totally FREE

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nima k. | Senior Media Buyer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Anchor not only sends out your RSS feed to everywhere it needs to go, they also will pay you to be your first advertiser on your podcast.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

They don't tell you when they've pulled their ad from your podcast, so you need to pay attention to that.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Launching my podcast, I wanted to be everywhere and Anchor allowed me to do that.

  ### 27. Streamlined way to get your voice out into the world

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany K. | Real estate salesperson, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

I love the interface. It has all the tools you need without being overly complicated or complex.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

The limit of OS usage when it comes to which platforms it can be used on.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to begin my life as a podcaster. It lets me cast with ease.

  ### 28. Makes creating a podcast extremely easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

Automatically distributes podcast to dozens of outlets, built in clips make it easy, easy to record a phone interview

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

It doesn't seem set up to support the highest sound quality. Some of the account management features are also funky, and it was difficult for me to change the name of my podcast or my own display name.

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to launch an interview-style podcast as easily as possible, and I still think Anchor is the best solution out there to do that.

  ### 29. In my opinion, this is a very complete podcasting platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rauf F. | Head Of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

I like how Anchor distributes my completed episodes to Spotify and other platforms for me for free.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

Slight connection and compatibility issues (I think some of my guests have had problems joining my sessions and sometimes call quality might drop).

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy and recurring content creation in the form of podcasts for my business, which can build brand traction.

  ### 30. It just does not get any easier than this!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Anchor?**

I've been doing podcasts off and on for a decade and there's never been an easier process than what Anchor offers users. Such a power tool! If you've never done one ever I'm certain that you'll find it intuitive and awesome.

**What do you dislike about Anchor?**

I wish there were a feeeeew more metrics available to see.

**Recommendations to others considering Anchor:**

Start today. Seriously. They make podcasts accessible for more people and everyone has something to talk about!

**What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Producing a high-quality episode can sometimes take hours in a program like Audacity. The drag and drop ability for podcast segments along with the in-box options for transitions and background music saves me so much time.
