## Amplitude Analytics Reviews
 ### 1. Data-Driven Insights with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad O. | Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really appreciate the amazing support for TypeScript. Since our entire system is built in TypeScript, being able to download the description of every single event in TypeScript helps us ensure our code isn't drifting away. The branching and versioning features built into their library are great because they allow our team to use the platform in various ways without a single point of failure. Additionally, the Chrome extension makes it much easier for us to test and play around with the system without spending too much time, which is easier compared to alternative options.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I feel like there could be a beginner friendly interface in our company. Our engineering and product team is very savvy in using Amplitude. But some of the other departments find it too intimidating to use Amplitude on a day-to-day basis. Also, giving the ability to build dashboards and then share with specific people would be useful. So essentially not public links, but controlled links where we can just share it with a couple of people via their email. It wasn't actually too easy to set up because we had a mono repo and we didn't have Amplitude from the get-go, so it meant that we had to experiment a lot with how we can make it work.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics lets us dive deeper into data and make sense of it in one platform without too much planning. We can mix different graphs and metrics, enhancing our understanding of user experience and funnel insights.

 ### 2. Empowers Data-Driven Decisions with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joji S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like Amplitude Analytics for its ability to provide clear and detailed insights into user behavior, which is crucial for tracking user interaction with different app features. The charts feature makes it pretty easy to derive insights, and the ability to track custom events simplifies analyzing feature usage across the app. The dashboards and visualizations save a lot of time and the real-time analytics through live events is very helpful in measuring success and failure metrics.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Real-time data updates may sometimes have delays depending on the volume of events being processed. Better integration visibility and debugging support for developers would make implementation and maintenance easier. Could improve integration visibility by providing more detailed event delivery logs, including clearer information on whether events were successfully sent, delayed or failed and a more developer-friendly debugging console with real-time event inspection would make it easier to validate event payloads.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to track user behavior, analyze user journeys, and measure feature adoption. It solves visibility issues by providing detailed analytics and insights, enabling data-driven product decisions.

 ### 3. Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Murilo B. | Data Product Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

 ### 4. Powerful Insights, Slightly Overwhelming UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumisha J. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics primarily to understand my app's behavior and user interactions. I love how it helps me track app failures and gives me a clear chart of events per user with exact data points. The chart and report features are incredibly helpful in deriving decisions—they're just a wow. I appreciate the wide variety of features it provides, making life easier by getting me the data I need. Its ability to show the user journey clearly with proper event validations makes it pretty easy to understand user behavior and quickly see what's useful and what's not. The live events feature is fantastic because it allows me to see the user interactions with my app in real time, helping me know instantly if something is working or broken. The initial setup was pretty simple and straightforward, which I appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Sometimes it's hard for me to derive on decisions based on complex reports or data. The chart features help a lot in tracking user events, but sometimes it feels overwhelming with too many options, making it difficult to quickly find what matters to me. And I also felt like we would have made the UI a little simpler, as of now the UI feels a little complex for complicated actions.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me understand app usage and failures with detailed user journey insights. It's great for validating features and making data-driven decisions quickly.

 ### 5. Amplitude Analytics Replaced Multiple Tools for Us Made Tracking Simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim N. | Senior Software Engineer II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

As a software engineer the things I like most about Amplitude Analytics are the simplicity of the UI, being able to quickly gather information about how the users are using the product, what are the most common drop offs, what is converting users well, but also additional information about the user and the user's device can give great insight. Another thing that is very helpful is integrations with other tools which enable us to only log Amplitude events, and have them on other platforms as well such as Braze. Also it supports alerting when anomalies are detected which we've found very useful. Last but not least, feature flags and experiments setup is very intuitive and allows a lot of flexibility in segmenting users and adding variants with payloads. Amplitude has replaced the need for multiple tools to accomplish these things. It's SDK has improved our ways of working with event logging.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Nothing major, some UI quirks such as those when filtering values the dropdown can be hard to interact with it sometimes closes when you don't want it to and similar

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Amplitude Analytics, we struggled with reliably tracking user behavior, especially because analytics requests could be blocked by ad blockers or browser privacy tools. Amplitude helped solve this by supporting proxy-based tracking, which improves the reliability of event collection and gives us more confidence in our product data.
It has also simplified how we manage feature flags and experiments. Previously, this would often require separate tools or more custom engineering work. Now we can manage analytics, experiments, and feature rollouts in one place, which reduces operational overhead and makes it easier to connect product changes with measurable user impact.

 ### 6. Powerful Analytics with Custom Funnels and Charts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aidar K. | Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics with Google Analytics. Amplitude Analytics is very powerful; you can see everything you want, make your own funnel, and make any chart you can think of. It has a lot of features that I love, so yes, this is the best thing about Amplitude Analytics.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude analytics has one main challenge for me: it isn’t always clear what to do next. That said, there are plenty of materials and videos available, and you can also ask any AI for guidance when you get stuck. Overall, I feel these features are designed to support you and make the process easier.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Amplitude Analytics, I can understand where my bottlenecks are and where our customers are struggling with our product. For me, as a startupper, this is a great starting point. They also offer start-up perks, which I really appreciate because when you’re a start-up, you can’t pay a lot of money, so it helps you stay on the saving road.

 ### 7. Powerful Analytics Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco B. | Director of CRM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like most about Amplitude is how easy it is to understand user behavior without needing a lot of heavy technical work. The interface feels intuitive, the event analysis is powerful, and the segmentation options are very flexible. Overall, it helps teams move faster from data to action and make decisions with more confidence.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Some advanced configurations can get complicated pretty quickly, especially when it comes to event governance and managing taxonomy at scale. The learning curve can also be steep for non-technical users, and pricing tends to rise fast as usage increases.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude helps us understand how users interact with our product throughout the entire journey. It gives us better visibility into feature adoption, funnel drop-offs, retention, and user segmentation. As a result, our teams can make faster product decisions based on real user behavior rather than assumptions.

 ### 8. Clean, Intuitive Dashboards That Make Analytics Easy for Everyone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yogesh M. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I’ve been using Amplitude and really like how clean and intuitive the dashboard feels. The UI/UX is well designed, and it’s easy to filter users, build funnels, create cohorts, and work with charts without much effort.

What stands out is how simple it is for non-tech teams to use. You don’t need deep technical knowledge to get value from it, and the third-party integrations make it easy to fit into your workflow.

Overall, it’s a powerful and user-friendly analytics tool.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Issue is pricing. As your data grows, costs can increase quite fast, which makes it less friendly for startups or teams trying to stay lean.
Overall, it’s great for ease of use, but can feel restrictive and expensive as you scale.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is clarity. I can quickly see what’s working and what’s not without relying too much on developers or raw data. It helps in making faster product decisions, improving user experience, and identifying growth opportunities based on real user behavior instead of assumptions.

 ### 9. Amplitude Supercharges Insights with MCP Integration, AI Agent, and Standout Guides & Surveys

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Federico A. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

First, the MCP integration has been a genuine productivity multiplier. Being able to query Amplitude data directly within my existing workflow, without switching context, has dramatically shortened the path from question to insight. Tasks that used to require multiple steps across tools now happen in a single flow.
Second, the integrated AI agent makes the platform accessible at every level. Instead of manually building charts for every business question, I can ask naturally and get to answers faster. This has been especially valuable for ad hoc analysis and exploratory questions.
Third, Guides and Surveys is a standout feature. The ability to trigger in-app nudges, onboarding flows, and feedback prompts based on behavioral data closes the loop between analytics and action. It lets you engage users at exactly the right moment, with minimal engineering overhead.
Together, these three capabilities make Amplitude feel less like a BI tool and more like an integrated part of how the product team operates.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Event management and schema changes can be challenging at scale. When event names evolve or need restructuring, it tends to have a knock-on effect across charts, dashboards, and cohorts. A more guided migration experience would go a long way in reducing the maintenance burden that comes with a maturing data taxonomy.
Some of the more advanced features have a learning curve. Tools like Pathfinder or custom formula metrics are genuinely powerful, but they reward users who invest time in understanding the platform deeply. Better in-product guidance or contextual tooltips could help teams get more value from these features sooner.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude solves the core challenge every product team faces: turning raw user behavior into decisions you can act on with confidence.
For us, this shows up in a few concrete ways. Funnel and retention analysis lets us understand where learners drop off and what keeps them coming back, which directly shapes how we prioritize features and iterate on the learning experience. Cohort segmentation means we can go beyond surface-level metrics and ask sharper questions, like how engagement differs across skill levels, markets, or acquisition channels.
More broadly, Amplitude reduces the distance between a business question and a reliable answer. That benefits the whole team, but especially as a product manager it means I can walk into decisions, whether about monetization, onboarding, or feature prioritization, with data rather than instinct alone.

 ### 10. Powerful Analytics with Room for User-Friendliness

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andžej M. | Assistant Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I find Amplitude Analytics valuable for tracking our metrics, from event segmentation to conversion analysis. I appreciate the additional functions and capabilities it offers, such as setting up alerts to notice decreasing or increasing instances of events or conversions. I also find the initial setup quite easy, as Amplitude captures a lot of events automatically.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I had some issues with the login during our initial setup. We set up an account, and it logged us in without asking us to set up a password. Afterwards, we got logged out, and we weren't able to log in even though the email used was correct. That was a bit of a hassle. Also, it could be a bit more user-friendly and easy to read because it's a bit too technical for some stakeholders. Maybe having a switch between analytic mode and a reader mode to change the UI for easier readability would help.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to track metrics from event segmentation to conversion analysis. It helps us set up alerts to notice changes in event or conversion rates.

 ### 11. Powerful Integration and Real-Time Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nacho F. | Product Data Owner / Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really like the possibility of integrating numerous tools and the ability to process data almost in real-time with a focus on growth. This allows me to fully connect my products, projects, and apps and have an overview of everything my user does, how they are acquired, how much revenue they generate, etc. With Amplitude Analytics, I can create funnels, dashboards, and segmentations for analysis, as well as have the possibility to build cohorts to be more precise in our CRM campaigns. The initial setup was quite good, although it's still a challenge to customize everything to generate uniformity.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I would like to be able to define from the UI the information received in the payloads of each integration to align more custom between tools. Perhaps it would have been easier if Amplitude showed each field of the payload and allowed customization of how I expect it to interpret them.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to measure product development metrics. It helps me have a comprehensive and centralized view, connecting my product E2E and analyzing user behavior, creating funnels, dashboards, and segmentations for precise CRM campaigns.

 ### 12. Session Replay, Experiments, and AI Analytics That Deliver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank A. | designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Session replay, experiments, and AI assistant agent analytics.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Very complex for some people. Some data doesn't match our database, the session replay has few recordings, and overall, it's very expensive.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics gives me visibility into flows and solves the problem of opacity in behavioral data. Instead of focusing only on vanity metrics (like page views), it focuses on user actions and what really happens throughout the journey.

It helps solve the difficulty in identifying friction points in the conversion funnel, the lack of clarity about which features actually retain users, and the delay in obtaining insights without relying on BI teams.

As a benefit, it allows for the democratization of data: product teams can perform cohort, retention, and conversion analyses in real-time. This makes it easier to make evidence-based decisions to prioritize the roadmap and optimize the user experience, driving growth.

 ### 13. Insightful but Needs UI Improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kumar V. | EA to CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like the session play feature in Amplitude Analytics, as it helps me understand when a feature is used and for how long. This insight is valuable because it allows my team and me to rethink our features. If there's a need, we can enhance them to make the user experience more friendly. I also find the initial setup of Amplitude Analytics very easy.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think that choosing cohort features should improve and enhance. That feature is very lengthy and while using, sometimes the particular things are not available, which makes it harder to find the data. I think it should be more user-friendly.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to gain insights into feature usage, which helps our sales team pitch appropriate features to leads and aids in enhancing product usability.

 ### 14. Effortlessly Understand User Journeys

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonal C. | Product manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I find Amplitude Analytics easy to understand and easy to set up, which makes my work with it much smoother. I appreciate the AI analysis it offers for a deeper insight into my data. I also like the integrations available, which help me connect Amplitude Analytics effortlessly with other tools. Compared to Mixpanel, I find that Amplitude is much easier to follow, making it a preferred choice for my analysis needs. The initial setup was a breeze, completed within minutes.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think AI insights should be visible with every dashboard immediately, allowing me to look at data proactively.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me understand how users interact with our product by tracking their journey and identifying friction points.

 ### 15. Essential Tool for Tracking User Behavior

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subramanya S. | Quality Assurance Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I appreciate the ability to keep different filters and see user logs, which helps prepare a separate dashboard to view user logs and behavior. Amplitude Analytics allows me to see how many users have clicked a particular button or CTA, which is crucial to understand user behavior in our app. The filters help determine which features to release next and optimize CTAs for revenue growth. Integration with our backend is seamless, letting us track backend-triggered events. Also, setting up Amplitude is very simple, thanks to its easy-to-understand UI design.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Sometimes events will be jumbled and sometimes Amplitude server will be busy.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to see user logs and verify user actions like clicking a CTA. It helps me understand user behavior and make data-driven decisions on which features to release, ultimately increasing the company's income.

 ### 16. Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Murilo B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

 ### 17. Intuitive for A/B Testing, Seamless Daily Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** My L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like how easy Amplitude Analytics is to use with its drag-and-drop interface and simple rules. The new AI agents are really nice because they monitor my dashboard, saving me a lot of time and providing great insights that can be sent to Slack. This helps a lot with tracking performance. The setup was pretty easy and intuitive, taking me just two days to learn and personalize it with ease. I appreciate that I only need to check daily summaries to stay informed and know what's going on.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think one of the things that could be improved is the capacity for grouping certain values when you choose a certain thing. For example, when I create a chart and filter by properties, I'd like to create groups of properties so I don't have to choose them every single time.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for AB testing, which helps me decide which channels or page changes benefit our business. The AI agents save me time by summarizing performance daily and providing insights integrated into Slack.

 ### 18. Granular Insights Enhance Strategy, but Costly Add-ons

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tonye I. | Growth Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like how Amplitude Analytics allows us to see very granular data of our users. It helps us know what our users are doing and the actions they are taking on the app. This insight helps us provide our service the best way possible for those users. The granular data also allows us to segment properly and create custom codes for different user cohorts, which improves our decision-making. It helps us see where our users are coming from, enabling us to direct more of our budget and marketing traffic effectively. The capability to see data in the most granular form is exciting because it allows our strategy to be pinpointed in a way that helps our entire service to be effective to the end user.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Expensive add-ons. For example, guide and surveys. I think it's very expensive to add to our current setup, so that's why we've not used it. So if it can be less expensive so that we're able to, like, put it into our workflow. Another aspect of Amplitude that I would like to work better is how the AI creates cohorts when you ask it. For example, when you create a segment or funnel using AI, it rarely gets it correctly without making any errors or over-generalizing the events or data or just not capturing it correctly.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to access granular user data, helping me understand user actions and improve service delivery. It aids in proper segmentation, cohort creation, and refines our marketing strategy by providing detailed insights that enhance decision-making.

 ### 19. Simplifies Data Analysis but Lacks User-Friendly Guidance

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessie C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like that Amplitude Analytics makes it easier to look at data in one place and helps me make sense of it. The data looks clear and not cluttered, which is a big plus for me. I appreciate the ability to filter and segment the data as needed because it lets me see the factors that are most important for me and answer more specific and nuanced questions. It helps me dig into things a bit further, which is great.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Understanding what some of the filter and segments mean, though I understand these are often set by my company. I think it would be helpful to have more info and tool tips, or some resources for me to better understand how I can use Amplitude self-serve as someone who isn't super technical or data savvy.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics makes it easier to look at data in one place and make sense of it. The data is clear, not cluttered, and I can filter and segment as needed to see important factors and answer specific questions.

 ### 20. Powerful, Scalable Analytics with Intuitive Dashboards and Strong Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is its powerful event-based tracking and user behavior analysis capabilities. The platform offers an excellent UI/UX with intuitive dashboards, easy navigation, and customizable reports that make complex analytics more accessible. Its integrations with tools like data warehouses, CRMs, and marketing platforms help centralize insights across teams.

Amplitude also performs very well with large datasets, providing fast and reliable reporting even at scale. From a pricing and ROI perspective, it delivers strong value by helping teams improve user engagement, retention, and conversion rates through data-driven decisions.

Another standout aspect is the onboarding and support experience, with helpful documentation, training resources, and responsive customer support. I also appreciate the AI and intelligence features that provide automated insights, behavioral predictions, and recommendations, helping teams identify trends and opportunities more efficiently. Overall, it’s a highly scalable and flexible analytics solution for both web and mobile products.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One of the main drawbacks of Amplitude Analytics is the learning curve associated with setting up and managing advanced event tracking. While the UI/UX is modern and feature-rich, new users can initially find the platform overwhelming, especially when working with complex funnels, cohorts, or custom event taxonomies.
Some integrations require additional configuration or technical support, and maintaining clean, consistent data governance across teams can take ongoing effort.
Lastly, onboarding and implementation often require significant collaboration between product, analytics, and engineering teams, which can slow down adoption if resources are limited.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics is helping solve challenges around understanding user behavior, tracking customer journeys, and turning raw event data into actionable insights. Since I work with data from Segment Analytics, Amplitude makes it much easier to organize, analyze, and visualize that data through funnels, retention reports, cohort analysis, and behavioral insights.

Overall, Amplitude helps transform event data from Segment into clear business intelligence that improves product optimization, customer experience, and growth strategies.

 ### 21. Powerful Cohorting and Journey Insights, but a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wine and Spirits | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is how clearly it connects customer behavior to real business outcomes. It makes it easy to see the full user journey, identify drop-off points, and understand why users take certain actions. As an email and lifecycle marketer, I especially value Amplitude’s cohorting and behavioral segmentation, which allow me to create highly targeted, timely campaigns based on actual user behavior rather than assumptions. The ability to test, analyze, and iterate quickly helps optimize messaging, improve retention, and drive meaningful engagement across the entire lifecycle.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude can feel complex and overwhelming at first, especially for non-technical marketers. Building advanced charts or analyses often requires a learning curve, and dashboards can become cluttered without strong governance. I’ve also experienced delays or inconsistencies in event tracking that slow down insights and campaign execution.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics solves the problem of understanding how customers actually behave across digital touchpoints. It turns raw event data into clear insights about journeys, friction points, and drivers of retention. For me, this means better segmentation, more relevant lifecycle messaging, faster optimization, and the ability to prove the impact of campaigns on long-term engagement and growth.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like most about Amplitude is how easy it makes it to understand user behavior without constantly depending on engineering. The interface feels intuitive, and you can quickly build analyses like funnels, cohorts, or retention without it being overwhelming.

I also like how flexible it is. You can explore the data freely and answer new questions as they come up instead of being limited to static reports. It makes it much easier to connect what users are actually doing with the decisions you make.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One downside is that it can take some time to get fully comfortable with it, especially when setting up tracking correctly. If the data isn’t implemented well from the start, it can get messy and harder to trust later on.

It can also feel a bit overwhelming at times because there are so many features and options. For more advanced use cases, the learning curve is definitely there, and some things aren’t as straightforward as they could be.

On top of that, it’s quite expensive compared to some competitors, which can be a barrier depending on the size of the team or budget.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude helps us understand how users actually interact with our product, not just surface-level metrics. It solves the problem of guessing why users drop off or what drives engagement by giving clear visibility into user journeys, funnels, and retention.

This makes a big difference because we can base decisions on real behavior instead of assumptions. It helps identify friction points, optimize conversion flows, and prioritize product or marketing changes that actually impact user experience and growth.

 ### 24. Intuitive Dashboarding with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I love Amplitude Analytics for several reasons. The user-friendly UI is fantastic, allowing me to quickly build charts on a whim and answering questions about how something behaves or the impact of changes in just seconds or minutes. This efficiency is crucial for my work across all teams on both sides of our marketplace. These reports are shared with leadership and used daily, showcasing the practical importance of the tool. I also love the ability to build a data plan and reject certain events that don't match our naming conventions, which helps in keeping our data organized and relevant. Moreover, their customer support is exceptional, the best I've dealt with from any vendor. I really appreciate everything Amplitude Analytics is doing as a company and I love their entire product suite.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Our event taxonomy is actually very complicated, which makes it really hard for new users who aren't as familiar with our eventing to go in and build charts and dashboards. The way that it was set up originally makes it harder for new folks to onboard. We just need to get a little more mature in our usage of Amplitude Analytics and the way we allow data to flow in.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for building charts and dashboards quickly across all teams, ensuring proper instrumentation. It helps product managers gather essential metrics to assess product success.

 ### 25. Conversational Analytics Chat and Integrations That Make Data Access Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really enjoy the built-in chat to get Analytics in a conversational way. This helps me tremendously when I don't want to dive into reports and dashboards, I just ask the chat and I get the data that I need. I can also iterate on it, which is a power feature in my opinion. The integrations are a real plus of course, especially the recently-added AI-ready implementation code or steps. I do try amplitude out on some small projects and this is really valuable

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Sometimes in the live preview, all data disappear and comes back after some time. I did not put too much attention on it as it was not a blocker for me in my experience of the product but it's definitely sometehing I noticed, Also I think there is still work to be done to make the product more user friendly, but that's common to every product dealing with data

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am launching my own app. Amplitude is where I store all my events, my usage data and it helps me figuring out what happens for my users when using my app. It already helped uncover some issues in my events,

 ### 26. Real-Time Insights with Intuitive Funnels and Interactive Analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ani M. | UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude provides real-time data, which makes it easy to monitor user behavior as it happens. Building funnels is straightforward, and the overall navigation is intuitive. I also appreciate how interactive the platform is, allowing for quick exploration and analysis of data.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Some aspects of the logic are not very intuitiv, for example, actions like saving can be confusing. In my case, breakdown tables displayed only 100 rows, even though I had more survey participants, which required exporting the data to CSV to access the full dataset. Additionally, the platform requires a high level of attention to avoid mistakes when working with data.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude helps solve the challenge of accessing and understanding real-time user behavior data, as well as collecting in-app survey insights. This allows us to quickly monitor how users interact with the product, gather direct feedback, identify issues or trends as they happen, and make faster, data-driven decisions.

 ### 27. Effortless Setup, Empowering Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaime C. | Head of Product and Data, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I find Amplitude Analytics super easy to set up, especially with the Segment integration. It's straightforward to create charts and dashboards, and I appreciate how easy it is to send data to other destinations. One of the highlights for me is that there's no need for a technical person to set up the tool, allowing the analytics, product, and design teams to have full ownership without depending on others.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think that funnel and conversion tracking is a bit confusing at times, also the cohorts and how cohorts and retention curves are calculated took a bit of time to getting used to.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to see conversion funnels, track user cohorts, and understand product interactions. It's super easy to set up with Segment integration, allows easy chart and dashboard creation, and empowers teams to own the tool without needing technical support.

 ### 28. Event-Based Feature Flags Enable Truly Dynamic UI Experiences

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramji D. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like the feature flag functionality, especially that I can enable flags based on events triggered from my app. However, sometimes it doesn’t work reliably because of the delay between an event being triggered and it being processed. For example, I’m giving my users a dynamic UI based on their inputs, but in the next step—where I’m using my feature flag—the behavior isn’t consistent.

One more thing I don’t like is the masking levels on text fields. Passwords and other sensitive fields being masked is fine, but I’m still able to see basic input fields in session replays. If the masking level had a few more enum cases, I think it would be more developer-friendly and easier to control what shows up in replays.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Customer support service: Last week, I was struggling with a memory issue and I reached out to your team for help, but they couldn’t resolve it. They only told me that a new update was available and asked me to update the SDK, but my issue still persists. If they take their customers seriously and provide proper support, it would be fine.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using session replays and feature flags really helps us pinpoint production issues and resolve them quickly. Apart from that, making decisions based on the data is helpful too, although that’s something that’s fairly common in other software as well.

 ### 29. My Go-To for Full-Funnel User Behavior Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mahhoor . | Associate web/app analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics primarily to understand how customers actually move through our site and app, not just where traffic comes from. It’s my go-to tool for analyzing user behavior across the full funnel, from product views and searches to add-to-cart, checkout, and repeat purchases.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I dislike about Amplitude mostly comes down to complexity and accessibility. It’s an incredibly powerful platform, but that power also brings a steep learning curve. For non-technical stakeholders or new team members, it can feel overwhelming at first, and it often takes a lot of training before people feel confident building and running their own analyses.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the biggest benefit is having a reliable way to analyze funnels, cohorts, and retention across both web and app in one place. It lets me quickly spot friction points in the purchase flow, see which features or pages actually drive revenue, and measure the real impact of UX changes, promotions, or new functionality.

 ### 30. Real-Time Insights and User-Friendly Segmentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haider A. | Growth Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I find real-time data sync to be very useful, especially for monitoring user activity after sending out a campaign or going live with a new feature. It's great for seeing where users are dropping off and identifying any glitches or bugs by segmenting via error code or error message events. Segmentation with different user properties is also very valuable, allowing us to do behavioral segmentation based on demographics like gender, age groups, and income bands. The ability to perform paired segmentation, such as male users under 25, helps us see patterns in data and user journey more clearly. Amplitude Analytics being easy to use with a friendly UI is a big plus for both real-time data sync and segmentation.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think allowing more flexibility in segmentation such as allowing to segment based on an event property not in the events listed in the chart would be a game changer.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for real-time anomaly detection and understanding user drop-off behavior, which helps in optimizing conversion rates and segmenting users for behavioral insights.

 ### 31. Easy, Flexible Insights into User Behavior with Amplitude Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryl W. | Program Manager, MarTech, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like Amplitude Analytics most for how easy it makes understanding user behavior without needing deep technical skills. The event-based tracking is really flexible, and the visual dashboards help me quickly see what’s working and where users drop off. It’s especially useful for making data-driven decisions fast, without relying heavily on engineering teams.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

If I’m being honest, what I dislike most is that it can get pretty complex and overwhelming at times, especially when setting up events and trying to keep tracking consistent across a product. The pricing can also be a bit high as you scale, and some of the more advanced features have a learning curve that isn’t always intuitive at first.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics is solving the problem of not really knowing how users interact with a product beyond surface-level metrics. Instead of guessing or relying on incomplete data, it gives clear visibility into user journeys, behaviors, and drop-off points.

That benefits me by helping me make better, data-driven decisions quickly. I can identify what features are actually being used, where users get stuck, and what drives retention, which ultimately helps improve the product and user experience without relying on assumptions.

 ### 32. Empowers Teams with Intuitive UI and Real-Time Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chedy U. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like Amplitude Analytics for its easy UI, which empowers stakeholders to self-serve data. It has robust funnel reporting capabilities and allows for easy data management as an admin. I appreciate the 'No SQL self-serve' feature that means once event tracking is set up, there's no need to depend on technical team members for analyses. The real-time visibility is great; events come in live, and teams can troubleshoot issues quickly for fast decision-making. Additionally, the intuitive UI makes it easy to drill down data, and the charts function as expected. The initial setup was also easy for me, particularly because I had previous experience with the tool.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

If events aren't implemented correctly with a proper schema, this can complicate Amplitude Analytics as a reporting tool so the admin needs to be on top of managing the flow/ingestion of data.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics offers an easy UI for stakeholders to self-serve data, robust funnel reporting, and a intuitive UI to drill down data. Real-time visibility allows quick troubleshooting and speedy decision-making. No SQL self-serve means I don't depend on technical team members.

 ### 33. Accurate visibility for data-driven product decisions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony Jose G. | Process & Service Specialists, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is how clearly it helps me understand real user behavior and consumption inside our platform. Even as a beginner, I can easily identify how users move through key flows, how many credits and packages they consume, and how these patterns change over time. The visualizations and event-based structure make it straightforward to detect trends, compare periods, and validate hypotheses without requiring advanced technical skills. It gives us a level of visibility that would be very difficult to achieve through manual reports.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I dislike about Amplitude Analytics is that historical data is limited to the last two years, which restricts long-term analysis. For everything else, the platform works very well and provides the visibility we need, but the data retention limitation can be a challenge when comparing older periods or evaluating long-term trends.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps us understand how our users actually behave inside the platform and how they consume credits and packages. It allows us to identify usage peaks, drops, and changes in monthly behavior, as well as detect issues related to external source failures or unavailability through event tracking. This visibility makes it easier to validate hypotheses, anticipate problems, and make informed product decisions. Overall, Amplitude gives us the clarity we need to improve user experience, optimize platform performance, and prioritize initiatives based on real data.

 ### 34. Intuitive Insight with Compass Charts, Needs More Total Count Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arya B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for different analytical projects and appreciate its ability to gain insights into how users engage with our product. The Compass charts are an extremely unique tool that helps me visualize retention and understand how engagement with different parts of the product can impact user retention. The intuitive UI makes it easy to curate dashboards and views, which I can share with non-technical partners who can easily interpret and iterate on them. The integration with different AI agents works smoothly, and the initial setup was straightforward. I also believe that Amplitude offers more robust capabilities compared to what we used before.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I wish more of the funnel chart options could count by totals, and not just unique users. I'd like to see totals conversion over time and general TTC.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for user engagement insights, tracking navigation, and discovering product areas of user value. Its intuitive UI allows easy dashboard sharing with non-tech partners. Compass charts help visualize retention impacts from features, making retention insights straightforward.

**Reviewed by:** Imon Kalyan R. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude Analytics is our lifeblood for user journey analytics and metrics. I heavily use it to understand and debug user flow. I like the ability to create top-level charts, graphs, and funnels and drill down into individual user flows when required. Additionally, I love the user flow recordings when available, as they give a great idea. It's been good so far, and although sometimes finding events is a little difficult, it's not a big drawback.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I sometimes find it difficult to figure out how to create a certain graph but it's more of a user issue than a platform. Sometimes finding events is a little difficult but then again these aren't a big drawback!

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for user journey analytics, tracking events, and debugging user flows. It helps me understand what actions users take and solve issues when they can't complete actions, like purchases. The ability to create high-level charts and dive into specific user flows is invaluable.

 ### 36. Fast, Easy-to-Use AI Insights for Day-to-Day Performance Checks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed A. | International E-Commerce Director - MENA & CIS, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

The AI feature and overall speed make it easy to use day to day, especially when I need to quickly check the most recent performance. The AI feature also helps answer questions without needing to know the technical side of creating dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

It would be great to have a feature that compares your performance to market benchmarks, beyond the current analytics suggestions. For now, I’m using the outcome of the chat with the AI tool and pasting it into other AI tools like ChatGPT to get clearer guidance on the steps needed to fix a problem.

It would also be helpful if it could tell you which events you’re missing in your setup, so it can guide you in setting up Amplitude correctly and, in turn, give you more accurate results.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing where the problem is without chasing my tail, and being able to see how one specific phone brand is performing versus another, makes a big difference. The answers take seconds now, not hours like in the past the smar asstinat made it go beyong the normal data and finding ways to eget analytical feedback without the need for the actual data to be there , example , it was able to know arabic search keywords wjust by the unicode , this was not possible .

 ### 37. Powerful Tracking with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konidena V. | Quality Assurance Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to track user actions and analyze user engagement in our app. It helps us do root cause analysis for issues users face. I appreciate the details it provides for an event, like the time, region, and network status. It's easy to track user activity based on a single user ID, which is really helpful. Additionally, I like how we can decide which mobiles and OS versions are used most by users, so we know where to focus our testing. We also send device logs to Amplitude, which allows us to check if issues happened due to no internet.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The time taken to update in the logs is almost 30 seconds to 1 minute, which causes a delay in verifying events via automation. The initial setup was a bit difficult, and the events kept getting pushed up and down, so they weren't sorted on a time basis initially.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to track user actions, engagement, and app issues, perform root cause analysis, and determine device usage and network conditions.

 ### 38. Powerful Yet Slightly Complex Product Analytics Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praveen G. | Campaign Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like most about Amplitude Analytics is how straightforward it is to understand user behavior. The funnel, retention, and segmentation reports make it easy to see where users drop off and what’s driving engagement. It’s a powerful tool, but it still feels accessible for non-technical teams, since you can get meaningful insights without needing SQL.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One downside of Amplitude Analytics is that it can feel overwhelming at first because of the sheer number of features and reports available. There’s definitely a learning curve, particularly when it comes to setting up events correctly and making sure everything is tracked the way you intend.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For my business requirements, I track daily sales of credit cards and its day on day trends of sales and savings account spending, deposit and so on with the help of Amplitude.

 ### 39. Empowers Data-Driven Decisions with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anuj B. | Business Intelligence Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to understand user interactions and make data-driven decisions. I'm able to track user behavior, analyze funnels to identify drop-offs, and measure retention and engagement over time. It's especially valuable for evaluating the impact of new features or experiments across user segments and monitoring statistical significance. I appreciate how it allows me to get self-serve insights quickly, reducing dependency on manual analysis. I like that it's easy to gain insights without heavily relying on data teams. The speed at which I can explore user behavior, build funnels, and segment users speeds up decision-making significantly. I value the standardized metrics tracking, quick anomaly detection, as well as building quick dashboards and utilizing MCP connectors with AI tools like Claude and Augment. Additionally, using MCP connectors in Amplitude allows me to leverage AI tools to schedule dashboard deliveries, create dashboards, summarize A/B test results, automate event tracking, and alert when results are statistically significant.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One consistent challenge that can be improved is to make standardized templates available for events tracking and data-quality issues. Sometimes there is a limit on how much UI resources I can use in Amplitude and I have to rely on external data sources for that. Finally, clearer and more pro-active signaling around statistical significance and experiment readiness would make it easier to move faster without second guessing results.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to understand user interactions and make data-driven decisions. It helps me track KPIs, identify drop-offs, and measure feature impacts without relying heavily on manual analysis. This speeds up decision making and reduces dependency on data teams.

 ### 40. Speedy Insights with Minimal Effort, but Needs Event Clarity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antony M. | Senior Product Data Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think the session replay and the session replay agent features in Amplitude Analytics are really valuable. What I like more about Amplitude is the speed. If I have to do the same analysis on SQL, like BigQuery, it would take me quite some time and require a lot of manual effort in writing queries and fine-tuning filter conditions. With Amplitude, it's just a quick drag and drop, and once you know how to use the UI, it simplifies a lot of manual effort. You can quickly get to an insight rather than wasting time doing the same thing on BigQuery. So, I'd say the speed, along with a lot of these AI features, are what stand out for me.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think right now, for me, the biggest disadvantage would be the events. So what happens is, as a data scientist, I use SQL a lot, and the column names that I use on SQL or BigQuery don't necessarily always match with the Amplitude events. Amplitude doesn't directly give you a one-on-one mapping, and it adds a lot of complexity on top of a simple event metric. It's quite difficult for me to understand what a particular event does when I try to use it on a funnel or something. Right now, we don't have a data dictionary that tracks the actual conditions for each of these amplitude events. I have to dig deeper into the queries that populate these events, so clarity is probably the biggest disadvantage. For a new user, it's easy to end up misusing an event or using an incorrect event for their analysis. I think having a data dictionary would be useful to understand what each event in Amplitude does and what the actual conditions applied on top are. Right now, we're limited to the definitions of only a few events, and there's a lot more untouched value within the event side of Amplitude. That's something I feel could be improved.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me with user journey tracking, quickly identifying where users drop off and understanding segments. It speeds up data analysis compared to SQL, allowing faster insights. The funnel and cart analysis features identify friction points without heavy engineering, enabling data-informed decisions quickly.

 ### 41. Detailed analysis, many functions, and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santiago V. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like how detailed we can be with the analyses, the wide variety of features it offers, and how easy it is to use. In general, it allows for in-depth exploration without complications and quickly finding what I need.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

UX is not always the most beautiful or the clearest. A better design of the graphics and dashboards would be a great plus, especially so that the information is understood more quickly and the navigation becomes more intuitive.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me understand how users interact with my product, track the adoption of the features I launch, measure stickiness, and analyze funnels to see where users are dropping off, so I can work on improvements that allow me to increase conversion. It has also helped me conduct A/B testing and guide both product and business decisions. In summary, it is the data source that supports and guides my work as a PM.

 ### 42. Complex interface and limited analytics

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nika R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I can create basic funnels in Amplitude Analytics.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I can create basic funnels, but it's not enough for complex analytics. For example, I have to create complex retention charts in Tableau rather than in Amplitude Analytics (where retention is not on the 7th day of product use, but over a 7-day period). There are a large number of events, and as a product manager, I lack information about them. It would be easier if an agent could be launched at the application level to track all events and their properties according to a single feature. The AI Assistant often resets in the prompt, which hinders editing and refining the data. Creating custom funnels is difficult; I need an agent that would automate event collection. It's hard to understand the setup, you need to understand the event bindings in the product, and the interface is not the most user-friendly compared to Yandex Metrica.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can create basic funnels in Amplitude Analytics, but for complex analytics, I have to use other tools. An agent is needed to automate event collection to simplify the work, instead of manually entering and setting up current events.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Hi Nika, Thank you for taking the time to share this candid feedback. We’re glad Amplitude is helping with core funnel analysis. We’re sorry for the challenges you faced with your more advanced use cases. For some of the retention work you described, Amplitude does support Return On or After, Return On, and Return On (Custom) retention, plus both 24-hour and calendar-based time settings. Tools like Autocapture, Visual Labeling, tracking plans, and Data Assistant can help simplify event collection and governance. Try checking out Amplitude Academy. Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback!

 ### 43. Flexible and Insightful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

We use Amplitude Analytics to monitor and analyze how customers interact with our products. I appreciate how Amplitude provides visibility and helps to see users aggregated, telling us real stories about our products that we can't get anywhere else. It's very flexible and allows you to do a great deal with your data. It's also great for finding issues with the product; for instance, if we have a simple funnel with a huge drop-off, we know there's probably an issue.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

As an analyst, it can be quite tough to align with the engineers who implement Amplitude, so I wish there was more configurability in the app. Also inheriting a large event schema is a bit daunting, and it can be tough to make changes at scale. For unexpected properties, it would be nice to be able to download a breakdown of these, so we can better deal with them.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for monitoring and analyzing customer interactions, which helps with visibility and understanding user behavior. It's flexible with data and identifies issues through analytics, such as pinpointing where users drop off in a funnel.

 ### 44. Intuitive Analytics with Room for Clarity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like how Amplitude Analytics helps fill a gap that I think Google Analytics used to cover in an older version. It feels simple to use and is more intuitive compared to some other tools I've used. I appreciate the fact that it has user ability and testing features. I've actually really enjoyed using the tool over the last couple of months, as it's really good. The AI features are good too.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think some things are not as clear in their intuitiveness of how to use them. Things like setting up tests and some stuff could be clearer and could provide more guidance along the way. We didn't have a step through for the initial setup, so we had to go back and forth a few times with the account manager to get help which slows things down, and sometimes the replies need clarifying, to get to the actual steps. this could be improved.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to see what users are doing on the site. It fills a gap that Google Analytics had, making insights simpler and more intuitive. Testing capabilities are nice but could be clearer with more guidance.

 ### 45. Powerful Insights with AI-Driven Analysis, But Overwhelming for Newcomers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annaelle S. | Revenue Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I love the UX of Amplitude Analytics, even if it can take a bit of time to understand everything. I love how detailed the features are: you can use Amplitude in a very simple way, but you can also go deeper if you want a very strong analysis. What I like the most is the ability to ask the AI and directly investigate hypotheses on Amplitude, which makes data analysis more efficient and fast.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think the amount of features can be hard to apprehend for a newcomer. It takes time to get used to how it works and the different modes to analyze all data. I think it's also very reactive and delivers a lot of features, but sometimes it can clog the UX and make it overwhelming for someone.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics is our source of truth for user behavior, assisting in troubleshooting and data collection, which we can easily segment and send downstream.

 ### 46. Intuitive, Powerful Analytics That Drive Product Decisions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics on a daily basis and what impresses me most is how effectively it links user behavior to real product decisions. First, the platform is both intuitive and powerful, allowing me to track user actions and analyze behavior easily, all without needing to write any code. I find its capabilities for funnels, retention, and path analysis particularly strong—these are areas I often struggle to analyze in other tools like Looker. We also make extensive use of the cohorts feature, which is great because Amplitude lets us build dynamic cohorts based on actual user behavior. I can then apply these cohorts across analyses, experiments, and activations. The user experience is very friendly, and I find it straightforward to learn how to use the various features without spending a lot of time on documentation. Still, it's helpful that the documentation is thorough and clear, so whenever I can't figure something out intuitively, I can easily find the answers I need. Setting up experimentation is also simple in Amplitude; we use it for all our AB tests, and implementation doesn't require deep technical expertise.
In terms of customer support it works quite well. At least with the enterprise plan there's customer support available and they are usually quick to answer questions and solve issues.
Integration with other tools is possible and easy to configure.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

While I find this tool powerful and intuitive as a data analyst, I think it may not be as straightforward for product managers or others whose roles are less focused on analytics. Some of the more advanced features, like funnels, cohorts, and formulas, can initially feel overwhelming. It's crucial to have a well-thought-out event planning process. I've noticed that if the event taxonomy isn't carefully designed from the beginning, analyses can quickly become confusing or even misleading, and making corrections later is quite challenging. The same goes for naming conventions—managing a large number of events can get complicated without consistency. Although this hasn't been an issue for us yet, I've heard that costs can rise rapidly as event volume and user numbers increase, which could be a concern for startups or teams dealing with a lot of noisy events. While the tool allows to accomplish a lot without SQL, performing truly custom or edge-case analyses can feel limited compared to using a data warehouse with a BI tool. Additionally, working with large datasets or complex charts can sometimes result in slow load times.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics enables me to truly understand how users interact with our product. Instead of relying on guesswork, I now have access to clear, event-based insights that reveal exactly what users are doing throughout our platform. This clarity helps our teams pinpoint the factors that drive activation, engagement, and retention, moving us away from assumptions and toward data-driven decisions.

By examining funnels, user paths, and retention metrics, Amplitude makes it straightforward to identify where users are dropping off and which behaviors are linked to long-term success. For example, after launching a new acquisition funnel, we used Amplitude daily to track its performance and to analyze where and why users were most likely to leave the process.

Another advantage is that everyone in the company can access the tool and independently gather insights, without needing to know SQL or rely heavily on the data team. This self-serve capability empowers all team members to make informed decisions.

Amplitude has also simplified the implementation and management of A/B tests and experiments. Previously, it was challenging to run and centralize multiple tests, especially given our limited traffic. Now, with features like mutually exclusive groups and holdout groups, Amplitude offers promising solutions to these limitations, although we have not yet fully tested these capabilities.

Overall, Amplitude benefits me by delivering faster answers to product questions, eliminating the need to wait for custom reports. It fosters clear alignment across product, growth, and engineering teams by providing a shared, reliable source of product and digital data. This enables us to make decisions based on measurable improvements in activation, retention, and feature adoption.

 ### 47. Useful AI and in-app surveys, but support responsiveness needs improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Being able to review customer interactions with our platform and where they are being directed - the guides and surveys have been most useful for us within our system. Adding these as a layer over our existing UI means less development time when launching new products or features. We haven't integrate Amplitude with anything else yet, though would like to explore this. Some of the features perform well, though we have had some issues with surveys not performing as expected and we have since made changes to how we present these.

The AI in the platform is actually very useful and I have used it extensively.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Support needs to be more responsive however, I can attest that the AI chat bot is very useful for solving basic issues or exploring the documentation to find an answer.

Support has not been helpful. My ticket was closed without a response adn cited as "There was no activity for 7 days" however, there was no need for me to respond as the team had advised they were "looking into" my request. Additionally, I've sent multiple enquiries about adding additional functions to our plan (the AI Chatbot) but have not received ANY contact about this yet.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to view our Customers experience and interactions. Surveys for User feedbacks. Resource Centre for surfacing training and documentation. Guides for new features/products.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Thank you for sharing this thoughtful feedback. We’re glad Amplitude is helping you understand customer journeys and launch guides and surveys faster. It’s great to hear the AI tools have been useful in your day-to-day work! We’re sorry the support experience felt slow and frustrating, especially around the closed ticket and unanswered plan questions. If helpful, Preview mode, Testing status, and the Amplitude Event Explorer Chrome extension can make it easier to troubleshoot survey setup and delivery issues. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review. We really value customer feedback because it helps us improve.

 ### 48. Easy analysis, AI-enhanced Amplitude Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 유석 . | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really like the easy analysis methods of Amplitude Analytics. The fact that you can create charts quickly with just a few clicks is a big advantage. Especially with the recently added AI features, it's really convenient to create and analyze charts simply through a few questions and conversations. In our company, sales and customer service representatives found analysis challenging, but since using Amplitude, they say analysis has become easier. They feel particularly satisfied with the ability to easily create charts through conversations with AI.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Our company has a wide variety of behavioral events registered in Amplitude. Due to the large number of behavioral events, AI sometimes gets confused. For example, it may recognize 'clicking the purchase button' as 'purchase completed'. Recently, there have been many additional features. While it's good that things are becoming more advanced, I hope sufficient educational materials are provided to use them well. It wasn't entirely easy. There are quite a few aspects that developers need to understand and users need to grasp initially.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analyze key customer behaviors to identify bottlenecks with a funnel chart. It's useful because you can easily create charts with just a few clicks, and AI features have made analysis easier.

 ### 49. Easy to Use, Enhanced Capabilities, Highly Recommended, but might be little slow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fırat E. | Product Manager - Growth & CRM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think Amplitude Analytics is very easy to use. Compared to other similar tools I've used before, like Mixpanel, Amplitude is particularly user-friendly. I really like the segmentation and funnel features, especially the ability to create segmentation files and use specific filters without having to create cohorts manually. The sessions part is also very helpful for analyzing user sessions, like seeing the session length and applying filters to specific events.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude Analytics is a bit slow, which might be a natural problem for this type of tool. Also, in the funnel section, the 'exclude users who did' feature doesn't seem to work properly for us, although this might be unique to our case. Also, it would be useful to have a feature that allows defining different conversion windows for different events in a funnel, such as having different conversion windows between the first and second, and the second and third events. Lastly, the data table section or data analytics part could use some improvement.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to easily analyze our onboarding funnels and product insights, helping us see user drop-offs, define cohorts for targeted ads, and assess feature performance, which is crucial for us. We are able to improve I2T,T2S, Retention kind of crucial business metrics by Amplitude. We are also creating cohorts to see the best performers which enables us to use this knowledge for targeting on ads.

 ### 50. User-Friendly Analytics with Great SDK Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vitalii A. | Senior iOS Software Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I love that the SDK supports all Apple platforms, including VisionOS, which is crucial for my Ping Pong game on Apple Vision Pro. Amplitude Analytics allows me to track all types of metrics, from user engagement to system health, which is invaluable. I appreciate the user-friendly UX that works very fast, and the huge event limits enabling me to track every user interaction, even multiple millions of events a month. The setup was extremely easy, and the API provided by the library is great.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really wish they have a convenient way to compare metrics for the last 2 releases to better understand the impact of the latest release.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics allows me to track all types of metrics from user engagement to system health with support for Apple platforms, including VisionOS.
