**What do you like best about Amiqus?**

We use Amiqus daily for client onboarding, ID verification, and AML, and what’s stood out most is how much of the process it takes off our desks and puts into the client’s hands. Rather than asking people to come in with passports and utility bills, we send a secure link by email and the client completes their photo ID and biometric check from their own phone in a few guided steps. For us, that has turned a multi-day back-and-forth into something most clients finish the same evening, and it’s also removed the awkwardness of having to chase people for documents.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

From a UI/UX perspective for clients, the overall flow is clean and works well for most people. However, a minority of our older or less tech-confident clients still get stuck at the biometric/liveness step—most often due to camera permission prompts or difficulty getting the right document-scanning angle. The result is the occasional support call or a check that needs to be re-sent, which slows down what is otherwise a same-day process. Clearer, in-the-moment guidance—such as a brief “what to do if your scan fails” prompt, or an obvious fallback path—would likely reduce these drop-offs.

**What problems is Amiqus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve moved from a slow, manual, paper-heavy onboarding process that created friction for clients and added risk for us to a fast, remote, fully auditable approach. The measurable wins have been clear: quicker onboarding, fewer admin hours spent, and greater confidence that our compliance records will stand up to scrutiny.

**What do you like best about Amiqus?**

The layout of the Amiqus platform compared to other ones I have seen in the past is very clear and professional. The layout of the templates is very good and it is very easy to create new check types of which the support and management team help to set up prior to going live

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

On occasions if email addresses for references bounce back instead of Amiqus going out to the candidate to obtain a new email contact we  have to do this at our end however this is only a minor thing and there is not much to dislike about Amiqus!

**What problems is Amiqus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a faster turnaround time with DBS's and references coming back as the forms and templates sent to the employers for references is very easy to understand so this benefits us with being able to clear people for start dates much sooner

**What do you like best about Amiqus?**

It’s been really useful to subscribe to the same platform our largest client uses. It has significantly improved our workflow by minimising the time spent on emails and calls just to verify information. The implementation and support team—especially Katie and Andrisha—have been incredibly supportive, helpful, and responsive throughout.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

One issue I’ve run into is that some organisations don’t respond promptly to Amiqus’ employment reference requests, although I’m not sure how that could be improved. I’d also like to see an e-sign capability.

**What problems is Amiqus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There were a lot of emails and calls back and forth between our team and contractors, which made the process inefficient and harder to manage. This has helped position the company as more professional and credible in the eyes of both clients and candidates.

**What do you like best about Amiqus?**

Amiqus has streamlined our pre-employment checks and reduced manual chasing, which has lead to cost savings. The onboarding and support team have been brilliant, making it really easy to get started. They pre-set up all our templates and branding, allowing us to hit the ground running, and they accommodated all the questions from our legal and data protection teams. Different templates are easy to set up and personalise and it's easy to track spend. Amiqus offers a simple one-platform solution for our complex business needs across the UK, Europe, and South Africa, making the journey for new hires streamlined and easy. Additionally, the reports from Amiqus are more in-depth than those from other providers.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

Not so much a dislike as a minor thing that could be improved. For South Africa, the consent form has to be downloaded by the new hire and printed and signed rather than an online option which we had previously with our past provider - it's not a big problem, just a little clunky.

Amiqus streamlined our pre-employment checks, reduced costs, and minimised manual chasing. It provides more in-depth reports than previous providers and for us offers a simple, one-platform solution for the many different checks we need across multiple countries. **What do you like best about Amiqus?**

I think Amiqus is very convenient, and most of our employees or candidates have mentioned the ease of using it. The user experience is beautiful, and it provides us with detailed reports on everything we are looking for, like DBS checks and right to work checks. All the information is in one full document, making it easy for us to read and encapsulate every single detail we're looking for.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

None.  Recently, some operational teams mentioned that hard copies of the DBS reports were being sent to the office, which was not necessary anymore since the PDF provides a detailed report of all the checks . We did not know at first that there was an option on the backend to toggle this off. but the Customer Service Team at Amiqus provided guidance on how to toggle this off and include guidance to the candidates not to select this option.

**What problems is Amiqus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amiqus for background checks like DBS, right to work and Digital Identity checks. It's very convenient, providing a detailed report in one document, which simplifies our process and enhances user experience.

**What do you like best about Amiqus?**

I really like Amiqus for its ongoing commitment to improvement and the excellent level of support we receive. The platform is continually evolving, and you can see that user feedback is taken on board. The regular updates and improvements make the software more efficient and easier to use in practice. The support is excellent; having a dedicated account manager like Iain Brand makes a huge difference. He's always available, happy to talk through ideas, and very quick to help resolve any issues. This combination of strong software and great people truly sets Amiqus apart for me. Also, using modern technology, including AI and biometric verification, gives me a high level of confidence in the checks being carried out.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

I would like the results of the watchlist check to be more targeted - less fuzzy hits.

We use Amiqus for identity verification and source of funds checks. It puts the process in the client’s hands, uses AI and biometric technology for reliable checks, and facilitates secure communication with clients.

**What do you like best about Amiqus?**

I like the user interface of Amiqus for both the client filling out information and the back office website for reviews; it's really easy to use. It's great that everything is stored in one place, making it easy to access and see if further information is needed. I can then use the interface to request more info without hassle. I also appreciate that with Amiqus, the clients can input their own information, which was a lot more manual with our previous product. I find it very efficient, especially since Amiqus is continually adding improvements and upgrades, making it better over time. The initial setup was very easy, which was a relief.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

The only issue is the platform on which clients use the forms, like phones or tablets, where sometimes open banking does not work. I'm not sure if this is an Amiqus issue or an open banking issue but just to ensure the software is usable on all devices.

**What problems is Amiqus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amiqus for AML compliance, simplifying client information gathering. The user interface is easy, storing data in one place and letting us request more info easily. It's more efficient than SmartSearch, as clients fill forms themselves, and Amiqus continuously improves.

**What do you like best about Amiqus?**

I've been using Amiqus primarily for conducting DBS checks and managing digital document signatures, and my experience with the platform has been excellent. One of the standout features for me is the ability to handle both identity verification and document signing in a single, secure environment. This adds a layer of convenience that saves time and reduces administrative overhead.
The user-friendly interface is another highlight. Navigating the platform is intuitive, and the layout makes it easy to manage ongoing checks and requests. One of the most useful features is the ability to assign checks not only to myself but also to other members of my team. This flexibility enhances collaboration, as we can view and manage each other’s requests seamlessly. It’s particularly helpful in a team setting where multiple people are involved in compliance or onboarding processes.
Overall, Amiqus is a reliable and efficient tool that simplifies identity verification while promoting team cooperation. I’d definitely recommend it to other organisations looking for a modern and well-integrated solution.

So far, I haven’t come across anything I’d consider a downside. The platform has been reliable, easy to use, and well-suited to our team’s needs. Of course, like with any tool, I’ll keep an eye out as our usage grows, but at this point, I’m genuinely satisfied with the service Amiqus provides.

Amiqus has streamlined the process of running background checks, particularly DBS checks, which used to be time-consuming and involved a lot of back-and-forth. The added ability to manage and track requests across the team also improves coordination, making the whole workflow much smoother.

The onus is on the client to input their information.  This is time saving from an admin point of view.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

The customer support is via email or chat only.  There is no telephone support.  This can cause a breakdown in communication, cause delays in getting an answer to a query.  
The adverse media checks are poor.  The amount of irrelevant false positives on some searches are ridiculous.
The quality of images that pass checks can be concerning.
The company searches could be more detailed and the monitoring could be improved, ie, notification of documents being lodged at Companies House.

The ease of use means I can quickly and efficiently send out requests for our clients to complete ID verification. It's also great because Amiqus was recommended by the law society and it provides us far more information than our previous software. Additionally, the initial setup was easy.

It manages the communications with the candidate and they can do it whenever suits them. It also captures/verifies a lot of registration information for us which speeds up our volunteer registration.

I use Amiqus as an Administrator to carry out Right to Work checks, Identity Checks and most recently, DBS Checks.  The staff at Amiqus were great in showing us how to use the system for all of the different checks and were very quick to reply to any queries and issues we had.

As an Administrator, I find the process to be quick, efficient and easy to follow.

I’ve had to request a DBS check for myself in the past few days as I am working on a project which requires this.
 
As an applicant using the system, I found it very easy to follow and to complete the necessary steps.  Scanning in my passport and doing the moving photograph was also very straight forward and uncomplicated.
 
All in all, I am very happy from both sides of the fence!

I can't think of anything.  In the early days there was an issue with some of the NFC chips not scanning, but the customer support was great and we always managed to get this sorted.  This glitch seems to have now been fixed and we haven't had any issues recently.

Amiqus ticks every box when it comes to requirements for background checks, in particular it makes the process of ID checking remote workers amazingly easy. The app is intuitive and we never have any issues with new starters getting up and running, and we use it for every single new starter employee we have.

Getting started was very easy - we were up and running in just a couple of days.

The customer support team is so quick to respond, either to queries or issues, or to add more credit to our account.

I would love it if Amiqus could support with background checks for non-UK employees and contractors, it would make my life even easier.

Amiqus is extremely easy to use and makes our lives (and our client's lives) a lot easier. The system allows us to send bespoke templates to individuals anywhere in the world to request identification, proof of address or any additional information that we deem necessary to comply with our requirements.

Without Amiqus we would face logistical challenges when trying to obtain certified copies of ID from clients. In this day and age - where everything is at the click of a button -it's re-assuring to know that Amiqus is always available and they are always looking at ways in which they can improve and assist us.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

The biggest downside of Amiqus (and the majority of electronic verification providers) is that the Fuzzy Matching results are not sophisticated enough. Unless an individual's name is unique, the results will return various matches that are of no interest.

The Amiqus user experience, both from a client and regulatory perspective, is first class. As a firm with an international client base, this is a critical tool to gather in and analyse key client data. The platform allows for quick, detailed AML to be carried out within minutes, making the onboarding process as straightforward as AML requirements allow.

There is nothing I dislike about Amiqus, but an area for improvement for any provider in the AML space is improvements to fuzzy name matching. Results can often be incredibly varied, with results heavily weighted towards North America. This can often lead to a number of inaccurate results.

The platform allows us to carry out detailed identity and address verification, along with PEP screening checks. All this contributes to our firm meeting UK AML requirements, as well as our own internal policies and controls.

Amiqus is an excellent tool for undertaking and completing frequent Compliance/AML checks including Identification and Verification as well as Source of Funds/Wealth checks. 

Not only can Amiqus allow your client(s) to easily provide and upload information in relation to the above it can conduct screening checks for multiple requirements including Sanctions, Policitcally Exposed Person's and Adverse Media making this challenge simple and effective. 

The system is well designed and easy to use for both business users and individual users (clients) that are issued requests. 

The team at Amiqus provide great ongoing support including throughout the implementation stages and beyond providing updates and information on ways in which to better utilise the tool as well as horizon improvements.

Whilst there is little to dislike about the Amiqus platform, I have made requests to improve the Know Your Business functionality within the system. However, I am aware that Amiqus is working on improvements to this side of the platform.

We’ve been using Amiqus for online Anti-Money Laundering checks at Ralph Sayer Solicitor Estate Agency for the past two years, and it has been a game-changer for our compliance process. The platform is simple to use, highly efficient, and has helped us streamline our operations significantly.

Recently, we’ve been working to integrate Amiqus with our CRM system, and the support from the Amiqus team has been fantastic. They’ve made the process smooth and stress-free, which we really appreciate.

What we love most about Amiqus is how straightforward it is—for both our team and our clients. It’s user-friendly, which makes onboarding and completing checks fast and easy, saving us time while keeping everything secure and compliant.

For any solicitor estate agency or business dealing with compliance requirements, we can’t recommend Amiqus enough. It’s a dependable tool that takes the hassle out of a usually complex process.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

While Amiqus has been a great tool for managing our compliance processes, there are a couple of areas where we think things could be improved:

Integration Challenges: We’ve been working on integrating Amiqus with our CRM system, and while the Amiqus team has been incredibly supportive, the process hasn’t been as smooth as we’d hoped. Our CRM provider didn’t seem fully familiar with how to set up the integration, so we’ve had to rely heavily on our Amiqus representative to guide us through it. While we understand this isn’t Amiqus’s fault, better communication with integration partners could make the process easier for users like us.

Notifications for Low or No Credits: Recently, with our transaction volumes increasing, we’ve had a few instances where our account ran low—or even out—of credits. This meant we had to contact Amiqus support to arrange top-ups at short notice. A low-credit alert system would be a huge help, giving us time to top up or adjust our contract with our account manager before hitting zero.

That said, we still find Amiqus to be a reliable and effective platform, and we’re confident these improvements will be addressed as the service evolves.

Amiqus serves as our anti-money laundering and compliance checker for our business and as a solicitor estate agency this helps to streamline our efficiency when dealing with clients from all across the globe, as well as centralising where the information is stored.

We have been using Amiqus now for over 5 years. It was one of the best moves we have made as a legal business in Scotland to streamline our AML procedures. The move to Amiqus came less than 6 months before the first covid lockdown, so in terms of our "distancing" AML procedures, it gave us the opportunity to be one step ahead of the competition. We have seen the platform grow and develop to being able to use the open banking steps too. Our clients find the system easy to use with the AMIQUS helpdesk providing great customer support when clients do have any (not often) hiccups.

We use Amiqus daily, it has integrated seamlessly with our case management, Clio, which allows us to import and export clients between both systems.  Our staff find the platform easy to use and to implement all parts of the checks into daily use. 

We would highly recommend Amiqus to all fellow colleagues in the Scottish Legal Profession.

There is not much we dislike, if anything at all to be honest! Any suggested changes to the team are always taken on board.

One thing that would be really helpful is for the Law Society of Scotland AML "Client Risk" Assessment to be uploaded as templates for us to use for each client.

Amiqus has allowed us to streamline our AML checks in one place. It allows us to digitally verify clients, who we cannot meet in person. The watchlist is fantastic. Open banking has cut down hours of AML work.

One of the first platforms to be certified to deliver digital right-to-work checks under the Government scheme.  A very user-friendly platform and excellent customer service - and rapid implementation.

Lots of opportunities to further improve the service line, particularly around internal recruitment / background screening and the team are very engaged with feedback and suggestions.

Offering a number of ways to easily integrate with our ATS & HRIS system.

Some gaps around their ability to do referencing, but this is mainly due to that being a new service line.  Lots of opportunity to further globalise their solution.

**What do you like best about Amiqus?**

I really like the layout for Right to Work checks. All information is laid out in a way that is easy to navigate and tend not to have any issues when doing the checks with candidates. Customer support has always got back to me in a timely manner too.

**What do you dislike about Amiqus?**

I would like there to be more detail for credit checks with candidates.
