**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon DynamoDB?**

It's a noSQL database based on key-value data. Fast & reliable due to multi region replication support & quick recovery options. Makes it easier to export, analyse data due to its seemless integration with other AWS services such as S3, elastic, cloudtrail, etc. On top of it, all the data is encrypted at rest so security is fullproof.

**What do you dislike about Amazon DynamoDB?**

Although it can be integrated with other cloud based services as well. Some settings are missing as experienced when I was using GCP cloud storage with dynamoDB for export. (Like folder lifecyling)

**What problems is Amazon DynamoDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

noSQL databases are coming more & more into use with ever increasing demand of storing consumer data which is not always structured & can differ for wide variety of reasons.
Given this increase in size of data, which is actually exponential, speed & reliability becomes a difficult aspect. DynamoDB maintains this using its in-memory caching & replication features. It also has flexible capacity modes.

  ### 38. Best, Easy to use and Reliable Cloud Service Provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SATYAM G. | Developer Mentor, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon DynamoDB?**

A big selling factor for me is the simplicity with which a virtual machine can be set up and utilized for software distribution. Dashboard users can keep track of more than just prices and availability by setting up text message notifications for things like server overload and other circumstances. AWS DynamoDB can work without any server hardware because of this functionality. This removes the need to purchase a server in order to utilize Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud or Amazon Relational Database Service. If you want to view a certain portion of a website, The service will manage upgrades and backups automatically in accordance with its design. My experience with AWS has been nothing but great. We've been able to deliver solid business services and keep our web apps up and running with minimum downtime thanks to AWS. Using this strategy, you can keep your personal data safer and more secret than you could on your own.

**What do you dislike about Amazon DynamoDB?**

A new user who has just begun using AWS services would benefit more from the documentation if it was provided in a more user-friendly way. For others, the cost may be a barrier, particularly if they do not prepare ahead of time to maximize the advantages. Otherwise, you may find yourself paying for the whole application even if you only use 10% of its capabilities. You have some discretion in the parameters you supply, but it's definitely reasonable to conclude that using it restricts your freedom more than other options. Because it is cloud-based, data is also kept with the cloud provider; nevertheless, that service also takes efforts to ensure the security of the information. Furthermore, hybrid cloud solutions are a potential choice.

**What problems is Amazon DynamoDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By assisting with the deployment and maintenance of web applications and microservices, it ensures that the whole offering continues to work without interruption. An enormous amount of information is also archived for later use. One of the best features of Amazon Web Services (AWS) is how seldom it goes down. By using AWS's lightning-fast response times, I was able to boost my product's efficiency.

  ### 39. Perfect No SQL DB

  ### 40. Cost efficient Non-relational DB

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehak B. | Lead Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon DynamoDB?**

Amazon DynamoDB is the best choice when you want to store data as key-value pairs in a database with full reliability and scalability. Since this DB is non-relational so write operation becomes very cost-efficient as no foreign keys will be there.

**What do you dislike about Amazon DynamoDB?**

Data is in key-value pairs which makes it easy to extract the data but at the same time Joins are not allowed as well as foreign keys are not in Amazon DynamoDB which makes it less flexible.

**What problems is Amazon DynamoDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In Amazon DynamoDB we are storing eCommerce-based data which is then used for reporting purposes. We integrated AmazonDynamo with other tools using MuleSoft. Connectors are available in MuleSoft to connect with Amazon DynamoDB easily.

  ### 41. I am a cloud architect who have managed multiple applications on AWS cloud

Aws is helping many IT industries because they are providing varieties of AWS services, Their AWS document is quite powerful and easily understandable even class 10th students can learn and make their application easily, You are providing a free account for beginners which is also a great thing.

**What do you dislike about Amazon DynamoDB?**

Community builder is adding yearly and the checklist is quite high, Even senior-level cloud engineers are not able to meet the requirements if they are not publically exposed so well, So AWS can give them chance and disable them if they are not fulfilling their responsibility, My kind of people only react when you assign some task with them

**Recommendations to others considering Amazon DynamoDB:**

Nothing to worry jump into the cloud network you will learn and manage your application easily.

**What problems is Amazon DynamoDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I worked on many projects related to media content that are using widely services like transcoder, glacier, ec2, S3, SQS, SNS and cloud front and many services like that, It helps us in many ways and my problems solve in many ways. If I stuck somewhere writing in code using JAVA SDK, I got proper help from AWS support, That is quite aproacable.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rakesh N. | Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon DynamoDB?**

DynamoDB is best when the data is not the way we have worked with dabases before,
In todays changing data types, DynamoDB comes as a perfect solution when the i/o request velocity is very high which can't be handled flawlessly by traditional DB's.

**What do you dislike about Amazon DynamoDB?**

The main concern is Price, its a bit pricey, which is the main concerns as my clients are on a limited budget.

Secondly, experience wise, it is a bit hard to get accustomed with firsthand,
Documentations are not much helpful.

It's backing up and restoring processes are time consuming to learn and not easy.

**What problems is Amazon DynamoDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used it in AWS based platforms,
Mostly I work on azure, but due client requirements I work in AWS,
As its a ready solution which is easily integrable, I find it as my default choice for AWS based projects.

The main problem it is solving for us is scalability, its scalable as per requirement hence I can stretch it as per my needs.

  ### 45. Best service for scanning and storing the values

  ### 46. Dynamo DB

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikas S. | Desktop Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon DynamoDB?**

The DynamoDB is the service of AWS in this the user will get the GUI version that is super helpful when creating tables. In this users can integrate with other services in AWS.

**What do you dislike about Amazon DynamoDB?**

In DynamDB what I dislike is that it can only be connected and deployed on the Amazon Web Services and can't be able to use with any other cloud services. In DynamoDB if a user will connect the table with joins so it is not possible in it.

**What problems is Amazon DynamoDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the DynamoDb the best part is here it is providing a feature for a user to host AWS Services with a No-SQL Database in an efficient way. The DynamoDB can b scalable as per the user requirement and it is also a cost-effective feature of AWS.

  ### 47. Smooth Experience with Dynamo db

It is a bit ambiguous when dealing with the sharding concept. But the aws technical team is so good to solve any issue with aws in very less time.

**What problems is Amazon DynamoDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a key value store hashing-based db. It retrieves the data fastly.

  ### 50. DynamoDB is a cheap, fast database with high throughput

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon DynamoDB?**

One of the key advantages of DynamoDB is its ability to handle massive amounts of data with low latency and high throughput. I also like the flexible pricing model.

**What do you dislike about Amazon DynamoDB?**

I dislike the lack of an offline model to access data without a network connection. It also makes unit testing harder. It would be better if Amazon DynamoDB was open source.

**What problems is Amazon DynamoDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me store key-value documents that need to be accessed quickly.
