  ### 4. Great performance and accuracy as Computer Vision tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darsh P. | .NET Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon Rekognition?**

I like the fact that Amazon Rekognition is very efficient in recognizing the elements in photos or videos without extensive training. It is a handy tool if we don't want to go to the roots of the Computer Vision models and just focus on the implementation.

**What do you dislike about Amazon Rekognition?**

Sometimes, when the prebuilt model is not able to recognize certain details it gets difficult to get workarounds.

**What problems is Amazon Rekognition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helpful for me when I want to use the CV for some programming purpose without having too much load on my server and just pay for its usage, without worrying about complex architecture.

  ### 5. Easy to use API integration for all your instant ML needs.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon Rekognition?**

Ease of use. Less development time with integration.

**What do you dislike about Amazon Rekognition?**

The result set ie the output set is often not easy to interpret. Depending on the subject, the system autogenerates JSON making interpretation much more nested. Real time large scale implementation is bit of a challenge with SaaS. At times, the sofware goofs up by not making the right accurate prediction ariticulation.

**Recommendations to others considering Amazon Rekognition:**

Real time data/image identification can be bit of a problem if you're planning on automating your process. At times, we identified lots of discrepancies using Amazon rekognition.

**What problems is Amazon Rekognition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telemetry-based risk data analysis based for potential pattern identification.

Till now no complaints, the response is perfect with all details depends on how we need to use them.

**What problems is Amazon Rekognition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Image categories during bulk uploads, manually sorting gallery images is time-consuming, and also using it to generate alt tags automatically.

The thing which I don't like about Amazon Rekognition is the JSON output after video analytics completion. It is a bit complex and difficult to interpret.

**What problems is Amazon Rekognition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Amazon Rekognition for doing object detection, celebrity detection, and gender detection in the video. Also used for streaming video analytics with the help of kenisis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohit G. | Devops Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Amazon Rekognition?**

It is so easy to integrate with my project. I used it for the user login via the face. It can easily distinguish between person who is far and who is close. And even can recognize when

**What do you dislike about Amazon Rekognition?**

They don't have to identity a specific object. Like if given water bootle and soda bottle, it will predict it as a bottle. But are doing good and hopefully one day they will achieve that.

**What problems is Amazon Rekognition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was logging into using the face of the user. So I was using amazon rekognition for that.

  ### 10. Simple to uise, feels limited.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Amazon Rekognition?**

The best part about Amazon Rekognition is its ease of use and simplicity to understand. When I was first tasked to look into this product, the company was doing a Hack Day. In the span of a day I managed to build a website that was able to take given images and determine whether the image contained a duck or not. This allowed me to understand how simple it was to use Amazon Rekognition.

**What do you dislike about Amazon Rekognition?**

I felt like the documentation for setting up and using the product was alright. Although was lacking support in PHP for some major components. Other than that, the setup and use was easy. However I would improve the documentation.

Also, I found that some of the products features were limited and could be improved upon over time to include additional features and have a smarter model. Many of the images the API responded with no response rather than something even though it was a valid image with normal content inside.

**Recommendations to others considering Amazon Rekognition:**

I would recommend this product to anybody who has a need to search through images to find vary obvious content within them. Sometimes the model misses information but it is good overall.

**What problems is Amazon Rekognition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company has a lot of images that we need to ensure has no inappropriate content within it. This content could vary between adult material to medical drugs/needles. Amazon Rekognition allows us to scan images for this content and sift through many images almost effortlessly with minimal human interaction.

**What do you dislike about Amazon Rekognition?**

there is no specific thing I do not like about the App except the highly price, also it is still a bit buggy and it kept crashing on me.

**Recommendations to others considering Amazon Rekognition:**

I recommend using Amazon rekognition even though the App is still being developed by Amazon, but it is absolutely worth using,

**What problems is Amazon Rekognition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using the App with video streaming recognition and pictures editing face detection

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Amazon Rekognition?**

Easy to use interface for rating images and determining their suitability

**Recommendations to others considering Amazon Rekognition:**

**What problems is Amazon Rekognition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you have a service that aggregates and presents media from the public, you are always in "danger" of the content being "inappropriate". Of course, Facebook, Google and other large companies have teams of people ensuring that such content is appropriate (in their respective sites). If you are a smaller player, Rekognition comes to your rescue.
