Redshift can query huge data sets quickly with little optimization on the developer's side. It integrates well with other systems, like S3 or DynamoDB, and outputs in many different useful formats like Avro or JSON. Since it speaks the PostgreSQL wire protocol, it integrates with basically every tool you would want to use. Once you hit a certain scale, mistakes you make in the initial design of your tables will become a problem. Since there aren't indexes or anything like that, it might be time consuming to fix mistakes depending on what changes need to be made.
