It's one of those products you didn't know you needed until you actually use it! A host of natural sounding voices make the speech sound very realistic and almost impossible to tell it's computer-generated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with any speech engine, it can struggle with some words that aren't pronounced as they are spelt. We have a locality here called St.Budeaux and it pronounces "stbuddo" rather than "Saint Boo-dough" as us locals call it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are many text-to-speech converters in the market, but most of them convert the text to some mechanical voice, but I like the fact that Amazon Polly converts text into a natural voice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a great tool to use if we are using the AWS ecosystem for the development, but if we want to integrate it with other cloud providers, then the technical challenges would increase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This cloud based text to speech engine is easy to use and offers plenty of voices to choose from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't really any negative about this engine. Like most text to speech it still needs improvement on pronouncing non English names when using the English language option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Amazon Polly is undoubtedly the best text-to-speech tool in my opinion. It sounds so incredibly real and unlike other robotic tools. It supports plain text and SSML as well. It supports audio stream formats and MP3, Vorbis, PCM, etc.
It has a wide variety of different voice models and accents to choose from which I think is the best option to have so your audios will not sound the same every time. And you can pay per the words you use which is a much cheaper and efficient way of charging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's good enough for normal english words and vocabulary but when used for something complex like medical terminology or some difficult/not so used words it baffles and sounds very robotic. Output audio format is not very high quality but it's okay to start with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The human-sounding voice-over conversion
The size of the audio mp3 file is very less
It has a feature using which you can improve the pronunciation of specific words. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The SSML tags provided are good but it would have been better if there was an option corresponding to every SSML tag so you you can switch On and Off the tag feature easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First I liked their text to speech functionality and the speed of conversion in any of the languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It mapped with Amazon account and subscription. If anyone want to use it directly so it is much tipical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It allows developers to create speech-enabled applications and products with simple and effective features embedded - small but mighty. Users can send text via Amazon Polly’s API to transform the text to voice, which can be streamed directly into any application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only a few languages can be supported, such as Arabic, Chinese, Danish, English, French. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Polly provides wide support for voice and a simple API allowing for dynamic voice generation from code either in bulk or realities with lambda. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some features are limited to certain voices or generation type. Working combinations can be tough to find for some features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
